Took Deposit Money, Did Nothing – Dilan Abrams Urban Timber - ***** Exposed We hired Dilan Abrams from Urban Timber (https://urbantimber.co.za/ | admin@urbantimber.co.za) for urgent maintenance at Ferndale Villas between July and September 2025. Jobs included fixing leaking taps, pipes, a toilet in Unit 28, and external work. Paid him R6,185. He delivered NOTHING useful. Toilet repair – R1,185 Unit 28 repairs – R3,000 Pipe leak & artificial grass – R2,000 After many delays, he finally attempted the toilet repair — it failed completely, wasting time and resources and causing further damage. No other work was done. Invoices and proof of payment are available. We’ve reported this to SAPS for suspected ***** and are warning others: Do NOT hire Urban Timber or Dilan Abrams. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND MARITE
If you're looking for a property management group, especially in the northern suburbs, I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND MARITE. They're service is horribly slow and have failed to pay a simple bill due to their account for over 4 months. This is after we completed the work on their behalf, since they have been so poor as making a basic repair of a boundary wall. Particularly disappointed with Kristen-Jade Allen, who has sat idle, after multiple email appeals to settle the bill and sadly passed this problem to her colleague Luke.

Logitech - Silent keyboard and mouse set
The silent keyboard and mouse K295 set has been a wonderful experience to type with navigate. Accurate and ergonomic feel to both devices. I'd highly recommend the keyboard for anyone who prefers silence and light press keys. Best value for money.

Are you really getting a deal on takealot?
This mouse is R100 on Ali Express, (Freewolf X11 Ergonomic Wireless 2.4G 2400DPI Gaming Mouse Silent - Black). Yet, takealot claims it is marked down from R 459 to R319 on their site. The false bargains that are being propagated on takealot makes it obvious they are not sincere in providing the correct buck for buy on 'deals'. This needs to be corrected across the online shopping platform.

Slow customer service and response
Why does it take Absa 4 days to respond to one request after numerous emails. I simply want my home loan flexi-reserve linked to my transactional account so I can transfer funds between the two on my banking App. This needs to happen ASAP in order for this poor review to be deleted.

Poor Financial Management from RMB Private Bank My landlord invested my deposit at RMB on 1 December 2015. After 6 years, RMB provides me with an interest rate of 0.25% p/a. This amounted to R150.94 interest for R10 000 over a 6 years period. They invested my finances in a cheque/current account and not in a savings account. According to the rental housing act clause 5(d) a deposit must be invested by the landlord in an interest-bearing account with an interest rate applicable to such an account, which may not be less than the rate applicable to a savings account with a financial institution. You are required to take action to correct this legal and financial error.
