F'n Bank, your banking security is leak as can be! My wife and son experienced ***** on their bank cards, FNB admitted it is *****. Communication is bad (read ZERO), then FNB claims to have 'tried' to be in contact but did not manage to. First of all, a courtesy email or sms would do the job, not a number which is used by spammers and *****sters which every person in South Africa gets dozens a week. So F'n bank closed the case on 5 December without any notification. You as our bank are responsible that cards are secure which you failed besides failing any other basic client service.
Dear Vodacom, a device went in repair at Cradlestone Mall, Gauteng after being sent from pilar to post as the shop is “not kind of Vodacom”. I received three repair sms which are obviously as ****, simply because the wrong mall was mentioned. Remarkably the ****mers have a lot of information at hand and that can ONLY be provided by a mole within Vodacom itself. Thus I can only conclude that Vodacom and its employees are selling/sharing private information!!! Or…your data system is leak as a siff! .
On their website 1st Insurance Brokers claims to have top service and highly qualified staff. Nothing like that, month three now. Hans was took over a month to sent an offer, then said he was going to cancel the current insurance on our behalf, nothing happened. Chasing him via email did not get answers, a couple of calls and yet nothing was done. Now month three, thank you, no 1st Insurance taking their clients last.
I have a lousy data contract with Vodacom monthly payment R214.97. Since a customer cannot cancel in a shop anymore, it is done online which I did 30 days prior. When doing so I received an sms that I would receive confirmation of cancellation, no need to say it never happened. Result, the *********** 30% matric staff from Vodacom did not cancel yet kept on taking money from my account...which I blocked obvisouly. Kept on emailing with staff, emails were read but not answered (having dozens of emails as proof). Phoned a couple of times the cancellation department, months down the line...still not cancelled. Also several calls were 'the system is not available', 'we have a system error' and so on. Now they handed me over to an attorney. That very same attorney does not read the email with all proof (another 30% matric that seems to be illetarate). In the banana republic of South Africa consumers have no rights! I demand in writing communication, not over the phone with empty promise they would take action. For that reason I don't even take contracts anymore and I buy my device overseas.
I will ever regret dealing with Standard Bank for our homelone. The homeloan insurance is just a ****show. Four months now and they don't even know anymore what is who and what is where. Meantime my solar, after being hit by lightning is going wayhire, who is going to pay for that damage? When taking a homeloan, think twice!
18000 bad reviews, should have known. Orders must be in latest 19 December for delivery before Christmas shows the online notification. Ordered on the 16th. Delivery scheduled for Saturday 21…on the 21st notification there is a problem and then…nothing. Was my first but also last online order with Makro. In fact I regard the entire transaction as false adverti*****t. Competing with Takealot will never happen, lesson learned, should have checked comments online first.
Breakfast disaster at Dros Rant-en-Dal! Arrived at 09h50, empty parking, lots of empty tables thinking, yeah, it is holiday season and a lot of people left Gauteng. Error 1, we were given the luch menu...the waiter looked like he had a rough night! We asked for the breakfast menu. Drinks...took 20 minutes, breakfast, well, we have never seen any. The waiter vanished after taking one empty drinks glass never to be seen again for the next HOUR! We went asking what happened to breakfast, a fried egg cannot be that complicated to produce in one hour, merely as Dross Rant-En-Dal was empty at the time of arrival. At 10h55 went to the floor manageress...clueless, standing there like a statue, no emotions, no nothing. Told her am paying for the drinks and off we go. 'What did you order'...nobody had a clue (as the waiter was gone fishing) where, what, who and when. Suddenly, within 5 minutes, the breakfast was there, right next to the cashier, the four plates came out of the kitchen...ICE COLD... the manager apparead out of the kitchen apologizing, offered drink complimentary (thank you, the least you could do). 'Sometimes we get busy for breakfast as we open at 08h00' (empty restaurant on arrival?). In the commotion he said 'your breakfast is already ready'....I rep**** 'already????'. We left a 11h10 to another place in the area for ... lunch. The fault is not the manager/owner, the fault is employing totally *********** staff. A waiter is supposed to be around, a waiter is supposed to follow up where a plated meal is. Pretty certain it was fly food standing there for over an hour. With a high unemployment rate in South Africa and Dros comes up with this kind of poorly trained (or simply a 9 - 5'ver attitude) staff, why bother, rather close down for the holidays or only serves beer as Dros Rant-en-Dal seems only to be able to deliver on that. As a regular customer, no thank you, you won't see me again (not that they care). Sorry, could not add a photo to this comment as we did not have anything to take a photo from ....
Should you take a bond with Standard Bank, consider strongly not to when taking a home insurance with your bond. It is below 'standard'. We are a week without power, running now and then on generator after being hit by lightning. No response, no feedback, no nothing and this in a heatwave! First call 'we are busy but have not started yet', second call, 'we are busy with it', third call 'we are busy with it'. Very much on par with a banana republic service. Busy considering moving our bond to FNB.
Be very careful with WeBuyCars, the sales conditions given on the floor are not on par with the banks! They have a number of vehicles on the floor, in this case at the Dome in Randburg, Gauteng, that require a 10% deposit, when it comes to the financing part, you will be told that older vehicles require a deposit (up to 40%) due to the age of the vehicle (in this case a platinum vehicle). In fact these are false sales practice offered by WeBuyCars! They say the complete opposite of what their financing institutions say!
RSAWEB, what an incredible hogwash company that is! We cancelled their services and of course were committed to the 30 days cancellation windows. After a week a courier was at the gate collecting the router...hold on, we have the right for still 30 days internet service. Not that RSAWEB cares, they shut us down which is already breach of contract. We were also told in writing the VOIP (phone line) would be transferred to the new provider WIRULINK. RSAWEB did not do so and now they claim they cannot find the number, they simple cancelled our business number! First of all the reason why leaving RSAWEB is a company becoming to big, too fast and they have automated systems rather than personal client contact. Not only I lodged a complaint to the Ombudsman, we will see them in court! 1st world technology, 3rd world RSAWEB 'technicians'. Reason why we left: our internet started cutting off on a regular basis in November last year, their own technicians (after demanding one as they said there is no problems) said there is something wrong. Miraculously the problem was solved (still claiming nothing was wrong), things went well and end of January 2024 back to the same issues as in November 2023. Same line, no issues at all with WIRULINK which actually has people talking to you rather than automated system that don't work in the first place.
