Having had a busy few weeks and not being able to get to my household groceries and necessities I resorted to Pick n Pay on line shopping. I had used them before and unlike my experience with Woolworths online shopping ( which was poor) I was very satisfied with Pick n Pa. y Well this time too they did not disappoint. I had placed the order at about 1 pm, and was surprised to see they had a delivery slot open for that day, with a free delivery promotion. I placed my months order for supplies, and was again pleasantly surprised when a well mannered pleasant man delivered my goods as promised. Even before the final dead line. I can honestly recommend Pick n Pay on line shopping to anyone, and I was a sceptic. Well done for making my life easier.
I had built a new kitchen and googled prices on concrete basin to enhance my newly built kitchen. After browsing numerous options, I came upon Seedleme and saw that their basins are basically half the price of all the other companies, however, they were in Western Cape and i am in Pretoria. I made contact with Matt who was amazingly pleasant, I chose the basin which I thought was the right one, and within 1 day I had my basin. Wow not even Take a Lot is as speedy. Anyway, I realised that I had chosen the incorrect colour, and contacted Matt again. To my surprise Matt had sent a courier company to me the very next day to collect, and a day later I had the second choice basin that I had ordered. Obviously the courier fees were for my account the second time, but they were dirt cheap. So to sum it up... I have nothing but praise for Seedleme and the way that Matt had accomodated me. What a pleasure, . I will do business with them anytime again.
What poor service I got from CTM today. ... I am busy with a new kitchen and ordered online to be collected at Gezina Branch by 10am, as their online site says that everything I ordered is in stock. To my surprise after receiving my payment I am contacted by a very pleasant man called Mpho Mabena who deals with the online orders and tells me that the only branch that has what I ordered is Centurion. So I have the tiler at my house waiting and now I also have to drive out my petrol....which is not cheap all the way to Centurion where they are waiting with my order. It is now 12:20pm and the person picking up my stock is still standing there. Your online orders are poor and not up to scratch as well as the staff at your Centurion branch. The only pleasant encounter was Mpho. I will not make use of CTM again.
We are always very quick to complain but shy away when good service comes our way. A short note on Takealot's service. I have ordered numerous items from them, and their service is fantastic. I ordered an item on Monday, was told I would be delivered on Wednesday, but received it Tuesday Morning before. 10 AM. Well Done Takealot. Love your service
I had a home loan that needed approval within 5 days. The Home Loans consultant I dealt with and gave this demanding task to was Geoffrey Cooke-Tonnesen from Better Bond. What a sterling job! Getting all documents, approaching all the banks, getting the valuation of the property done and finally getting a fantastic deal from one of the banks basically took 3 days. Geoffrey is thorough, professional yet so approachable. I would recommend any purchaser to get in contact with Geoffrey Cooke-Tonnesen 036 631 2837. I am blown away!! WOW!!!
Spar Les Marais Mc Coy pies are delicious and generously filled. I had a craving for a decent pie and quickly went down to my local Spar. I enjoyed every bite of it. All I ask is that they do not later change the content and become measly as all other products do when they become popular.
So we were fortunate enough to get away for the Easter weekend and our destination was Marloth Park - Milkwood gust house. What a pleasant surprise. Anyone who knows Marloth Park knows it is in the bush and a few kilometers away from the Kruger National Park. Milkwood itself seemed like an average house upon arrival. To our surprise it had everything one wants to live in luxury in the bush. As with all other places, we purchased cleaning detergents, soap, charcoal and may more, which is what other places lack. We were so pleasantly surprised withan ice maker, a coffee oerculatot 2 fridges and deep freezers, a dishwasher all cleaning soaps with all utensils. Potjie pot, Slow cooker, The charcoal was ready with extra wood. There was even feed that you feed the animals that come to your doorstep....oh and a private pool. Air conditioners, fans, videos for the kids. Sundowner deck. There is so much to mention. i cannot start to explain the animals that come to your house. It was amazingly beautiful. I would suggest Milkwood guest house any time. Thank you for a wonderful stay
I have been a Vodacom customer since the inception of cell phones in SA. That is a long time....My contract was due to expire 30/11/2020 and I was contacted by the upgrade department which I declined and proceeded to cancel my contract. With Covid and salaries that were cut and jobs becoming redundant it was my decision to not be bound by a contract that could bite me later. I got this call end Oct and cancelled meaning end Nov Im good. I received an account with line charges for Dec which I paid. January I received nothing so my contract has eventually been cancelled. Feb I suddenly received an account with two months arears charge of R1035. I tried all avenues, spent a whole day on the phone enquiring why it was not cancelled and all I got was we do not see any cancellation and if you do not pay R1035 we cannot cancel and you will be charged even though I do nit have the services. I had people sounding like they were asleep and cut off after holding on for ages...people sighing because they had to answer a call only to cut me off again and no-one would put me through to a manager...I had to deal with lazy incompetent staff at Vodacom . One lazy helped a bit to get me through to cancelations. She even phoned me back to get me through...her name was Prudence Selebogo( what a star) but the joy was short lived a Nicolene dropped the phone on me again. Are there managers at Vodacom???? if so they are as scarce as the vaccine . Vodacom your service sucks and you should be ashamed. After paying I got a reference number and about 2 hours later a message saying I am in arrears. I want my money back..
Looking for a pleasant day out, I got a list of places in and around Hartbee****rt Dam and we came across French Toast Coffee Cafe. The whole concept looked sp amazing. it is a little Paris with a small Eiffel tower even with the bridge with all the locks of friends and lovers names engraved on the lock and becoming part of the decor. Ones first impression is a little Paris with a choice to sit inside the Cafe or outside which serves every dish with French toast, breakfast as well as burgers etc.. They have a novelty shop , a clothing shop as well as a pattieserie with soft French music playing in the background. It was all very cute. We excitedly seated ourselves outside and waited patiently to be served. They were not that busy. We were served by a waiter who abruptly with some irritablity showed us how to scan the menu( what if you did not have a phone) After placing our order we received our drink and were left waiting for our meal for quite some time without making rounds again. By the way the waiter did not bother to introduce him, which every waiter should do. Eventually someone else other than the waiter brought us our food which was so disappointing. A measly breakfast of bacon and eggs with French toast and poached eggs with a hollandaise sauce on French toast ( French bread size) so tiny portions for R98? and that is without coffee. The manager was wondering around and now and then walked to the entrance where people were 'being sanitised, but no interaction with the customers whatsoever. Her lack of training her untrained servers and her lack of keeping her customers happy or doing a courtesy round just added insult to injury making what could have been a pleasant day although costly, totally not worth it. I happened to speak to a friend of mine who coincidently went to French Toast a week later and had the same experience with the serving staff and the disinterest of the manager. French Toast is overpriced and over rated. I will not suggest it to anyone.
