Yesterday (25 February 2026) at 7:27 am bus 4551 did not stop a red light (jump a red light) on the corner of Darling and Castle streets in Cape Town. Stopping cm's away from me on a bicycle, then continues to nudge forward almost pushing me out of the way. Clearly "the bus for us" does not include cyclists.
I purchased a vehicle in September 2025 from We Buy Cars, numerous requests to be contacted for a motor warranty has fallen on deaf ears. It is now 4 weeks later and no one has called me even after been told it will be escalated to a team leader. Then I get a call for tire and rim insurance, I explain my previous frustration to the sales agent who politely hangs up on me. The service from this company is so terrible I am thinking this could be a blessing in disguise.

I have ordered from Takealot a few times already and prefer to collect directly from the warehouse in case there is something wrong with my purchase. I wanted to purchase something and noticed that the Cape Town warehouse is no longer an option for collection. I mailed Takealot to enquire why I can no longer collect from the warehouse and told it is no longer an option no explanation given. Now I need to purchase from Takealot select a collection point and pay an additional fee to use a Takealot collection point. If Takealot is going to remove the warehouse for collection without reason then Takealot should absorb the cost of delivering to a collection point.
I have been having an issue with intermittent WiFi connectivity for close to a month now (ticket number #COOL-20211021-796598). I have numerous correspondence via telephone and via email with little to no resolve for my problem. No-one can tell me what is going on and often it is referred to that the problem lies with Octotel the FNP. My contract however is not with Octotel but Cool Ideas and therefore I need for Cool Ideas to resolve the issue be it with Octotel or in-house by Cool Ideas. My last conversation with Itumeleng today at around 10:30am I asked to be contacted by a senior member of staff to let me know what is happening and why it is taking this long to get my issue resolved. It is now 16:59 on the same day and as yet have to receive the requested call from Cool Ideas. One tries not to get angry and give the "service" provider (I use service very loosely) a chance to actually provide the service one pays for but how long does it take for someone to call you back if in fact the message was forwarded on. Or is that I am just a number and they don't really need my money, if I want to complain or cancel my contract so be it another customer will come along to pay.
Took my phone P20 lite into Huawei Canal Walk to have the screen repaired. At the time they were offering a free screen cover. At the time of collecting my hand set there wasn't a cover available. Only the store manager can print the covers. After many calls to the customer care department and an additional visit to the store, I was still not able to get a cover. I was contacted to say a rep would come to me and apply the screen. What great service I thought, but 3 weeks later I am still without cover and have given up with trying to get the cover. What happened to the days when one was actually offered customer service from retailers?
Purchased a vehicle at the end of March 2020. Lock down began, so all businesses stood still. However after lock down I was able to collect the vehicle without paperwork. I have been calling the registration department of SMD twice a week for 2 months now without resolve. The only response is that they are waiting on the licencing department and there is a back log. I understand this but it is ridiculous that it is now taking this long to get the registration papers from them. It is easy to take customers money and threaten with penalty fees, but when it comes to SMD's turn to honor their commitment nothing happens.
I have taken out an access bond on my home loan. However whenever I add funds to me home loan account the monies never reflects what I have paid in. It either never reflects or the amount is different. I have to call in month after month to resolve this. When I do call in the go to reason is that interest is calculated daily and that is why there is a difference. Funny thing after I call in and have a tantrum the balance gets rectified the following day. I have asked to be contacted to resolve this but nothing more than empty promises. I was called once by a "team leader" who said she would get back to me still waiting to be contacted since end of April 2020. I have references numbers for the call I have made.

However I cannot seem to get this handset anywhere, since starting to enquire 2 months ago.</p> <p> </p> <p>I have even gone so far as to recently e-mail (reference # ********** 3) the customer care department, but in true customer care no-one has gotten back to me.</p> <p> </p> <p>Is there anyone at MTN that could assist me in aquiring this handset. I don't need the formallity of we received you e-mail and valued customer. I just want to get a call from someone saying you can get the handset at which ever branch in Cape Town, or we sorry we don't we actually don't have the handset.</p> <p> </p> <p>Urgently awaiting a telephonic response.</p>
