FNB delays foreign deposits every time in order to charge me for delayed/non-payment of debit orders. The chat consultants are useless.
I deposited money on Friday 26 September 2025 from the UAE, it usually takes a maximum of 24 hours to show. It still doesn't reflect in fnb. This is not the first time that FNB is doing this , so that their late fee charges can be deducted. Pathetic! No peace of mind
I just checked my unsecured credit on my banking app and saw that I have a Jet retail card with a balance of R70 owing. This is after I reported ***** committed in my name with a Jet store account last year. I had paid off and closed all cards with Jet stores back in 2022 already. How is this possible? I am in the UAE. Please add +971 before the contact number I have provided.
The consultant/staff member, Patrick, became defensive after 4 calls requesting an invoice/receipt of a phone that I purchased from the store. He was informed about my predicament and urgency, yet he put the phone down in my ear twice. I have been a loyal customer for years to mtn, never missed a payment and even referred friend, family and colleagues to be customers of mtn. Patrick's last words were that I should come into the store in person, he knows very well that I am 8 hours away. This is the second time this store has disappointed me because I was informed that the other consultant who worked there didn't even register the correct phone model when I bought the phone on contract. Absolute worst store with even more disgusting staff that has no business in dealing with customers.
I tried to submit a claim on the Fnb for my cell phone and it stated that the item wasn't insured on the date of the event. I tried to call and waited almost 10 minutes with no success to talk to an agent. The online agent also wasted my time.
ABSA iDirect receives their premium monthly timeously but takes weeks to reply or answer calls when a claim is being processed. Katlego is ignoring my emails and not answering calls from my brother whom I have appointed as my representative since I am not in South Africa.
I have called 3 times from outside South Africa, the operators keep cutting my call. I am paying monthly installments for almost 3 years for this type of treatment.
It's been over a year, my refund has still not been processed. All I get are emails apologizing and saying that it will take more time. I will never book with them again.
FNB is making up excuses for me to not access my revolving loan account, which is paid up in excess. The online banking assistant stated that I did not have enough cash in my account for a loan and had a deficit. A deficit I paid within 5 minutes of receiving the notification. So they charged me for a loan that wasn't paid because they reversed it even though I did pay the deficit. FNB just wants to punish its clients. WORST BANK EVER. Contact me via email not phone as I am in DUBAI.
The installation team booked me for 10:30 Monday 22 July 2024, I have called several times and even went to the office in Cradock. All they give me are excuses. I've been awaiting a call as promised by the installation team. Nothing but a waste of my whole day.
