Standard Bank is an absolute nightmare. They debited my account twice for the same term loan and now I’m the one forced to waste my airtime chasing them for a refund. They can see the funds were taken twice, they admit it’s a “system glitch”, yet they still drag their feet. Why must customers suffer for their incompetence? Capitec can reverse money instantly over a simple call, but with Standard Bank you must wait days while they hold on to your money. It’s clear Standard Bank doesn’t care about its customers. They make life hell instead of providing solutions. Absolute *******s.
My parcel was out for delivery for over a week, and every day I received messages saying they “tried calling me” — which was a lie because I never received a single call. After days of frustration and no real updates, I had to drive over 40km to collect my parcel from their warehouse myself. Completely unacceptable. I’ll also be reporting this to TEMU. Avoid FastWaysCouriers if you can.
I app**** for a term loan with Standard Bank on Monday, 09 June. I submitted all required documents by 10 June. The loan was approved, finalised, and I was told that funds would reflect within 24 hours. It’s now been a week and the funds are still not paid out. I’ve called the bank every single day and all I get are empty promises that the matter has been “escalated” — yet nothing happens. I even visited the branch hoping they could assist, but I was told that the loan is already captured and finalised, and that back office still needs to release the funds. This is unacceptable and extremely frustrating. Standard Bank, your processes are inefficient and you’re failing your customers. I need my funds to be released immediately.
I have settled and closed my loan account completely. Despite providing all required documents — including the contract confirming this was a consolidation loan — my refund is still being unfairly withheld. Your consultants keep giving me the same excuse: “the contract can be revoked” — yet the funds were disbursed, you received the settlement, and the loan is closed! You had no problem calling my employer to verify my employment when I app****. Why can’t you now call to verify the loan if you’re so unsure? The constant delays, excuses, and complete lack of urgency show how little you value your customers once you’ve been paid. This process is causing unnecessary stress and frustration. I demand my refund to be processed immediately. Enough is enough.
I am extremely disappointed with the service I’ve received. My loan is fully paid and settled, yet I’m being given the runaround for a refund that is rightfully due to me. The excuse that “funds can be reversed” is unacceptable and makes no sense. Why must I chase after a company for my own money? This shows a complete lack of customer focus and efficiency. To make matters worse, no one can even give me a straight answer about the amount due to me. This is beyond frustrating – it feels like the process is being made deliberately difficult just to discourage people from closing off their loans. ***********, unhelpful, and far from customer-centric. Instead of correctly identifying the problem, they misdiagnosed my car, forced me to replace the clutch and flywheel (which were NOT the issue), and returned my car still broken. 🔴 Misdiagnosed the problem and made me pay for unnecessary repairs. 🔴 The noise returned immediately after driving less than 10km! 🔴 Refused to give me the job card that proves their mistake. 🔴 Car was returned with more issues! Now my key fob doesn’t work, and the airbag error light is on. 🔴 When I escalated the matter to Volkswagen South Africa, they IGNORED the facts and simply said ‘sorry.’ After spending thousands, my car is STILL NOT FIXED! Instead of holding their dealership accountable, Volkswagen South Africa is protecting their negligence. This is unacceptable and *********.

Bought an ice machine of October. The machine broke within a month. We took it in and were told that it will be repaired by the 20th of December. When I checked in they say the machine is not ready and will only be ready after the 20th of January. How can a machine break within a month and you don’t take effort to fix it? Disappointed!!!
A company that plays with people's feelings and emotions. No human intervention. Just a bunch of consultants that sounds like robots. Keeps saying they'll escalate to the manager but they never do as no one calls or even respond to mails. They have no intention to resolve issues. Even here on hello Peter they claim to send issue to fund manager but they never do. When you call you will wait for over 20 minutes to be greeted by a robotic consultant who knows nothing about what they are doing. Momentum is just a company that doesn't care. Useless and ****** *******. Don't even send an auto response here ab8hoe you've sent the issue to fund manager because everyone knows that's just BS!
Made a withdraw and still haven't received my money. They don't answer calls. I NEED my money ASAP.
