GREED a Malignant Cancer There must be pioneers that fight for those who has no knowledge. There are 3 great problems in the world IGNORANCE, sorrow and poverty. Mobile companies exploit ignorance and the watchdogs are endorsing this. It's as if lawlessness took over. People live in shacks but they have most expensive cell phones. They are not even aware that they have signed up for 36 month contracts. This is criminal. For the last 4 year's Vodacom has attempted to get me to sign up for a new contract. When I at last started to investigate what is available I was shocked for what I have find. To give you an example. They make R19 654 profit on a 36 month contract for a Samsung S22 Ultra. 24 months is even worse. A brand new Samsung S22 Ultra from the USA after they make profit costs R19 550. Samsung SA asks more or less R26 000. A sturdy R7 000 was added. It's a lot but one understands this and you have a choice if you can afford and buy the product. Now Vodacom and kie want you to pay R1089 for 36 months = R39 204 profit =R19 654 - they have added R12 704. They will be quick to reason all kinds of nonsense to justify the cost. They will even tell you they comply with the consumer rules and regulations. All these companies are out to **** the customers. They don't have values, morals and any form of shame. Instead of looking at actuals, how to truly make life better in difficult times, they waste millions on sponsors and advertising and things that do no enrich lives and alleviates poverty. Companies should assist people out of distress and misery not add to it. Our place in this world is not to harm and exploit people. Greed is the cancer of the world. Greed is a malignant cancer that poisons and erodes all the time. It is a parasitial growth which has to be destroyed. CEO's close their eyes to all the disgrace which goes on in the shadow of their own enrichment schemes. As long as they can milk the man on the street and they make money they are happy It boggles the mind that people don't revolt and refuse to buy these products. You have the power to say NO - ENOUGH is enough. Belinda Joubert
Kulula Flights Suspended re-booking There are no words of the incompetence that is showing in all areas in our country. It does not matter what industry it is a total disaster. Our tickets to Cape Town and return from Lanseria were booked at an expensive price of R3000 pp (R6 000). All Comair flights were suspended and there were no communication from anyone. All chaos broke loose. Thousands of people stranded! It's not just the incompetence of not letting people know. It's extra costs. Car rental, accommodation, food etc etc. Then when you have to re-book you can't get through on lines for 7 days. No communication on the e-mail as well. Yesterday I had to hold the line for more than an hour, then you have to re-book at a cost of an additional R1817, our tickets in total is nou R 8 000. 00 On top of that, you have to use your credit card, your are not allowed to pay on arrival. You are lucky if you have an e-mail like I do on my cell but you have to pay immediately and if you can't do it, you cannot book all because Kulula *****ed up. Normally our PC and laptop is at home, if it wasn't that I had an Google e mail we would never be able to book again. I can just imagine what other people went through. I think Virgin Airlines or any new airline must come in an kill these other incompetent airlines. Like everything else in this country, it's *****ed. When are people going to wake up, we need skilled people to manage whatever need to be managed if we want to turn things around. Take a stand and say NO MORE, it stops here and now. NO MORE #BelindaJoubert
Dixies Restaurant Simons Town 5 star everything the view, the food and the staff! We travel a lot and I can truly say this was the best meal I had in a long time if not the best ever! Our waiter Charlie was a star, well spoken, friendly and well informed. I had sole that was prepared to perfection, the chef is worldclass and I trust the owner value his staff because they we all magnificent! Dixies is a restaurant up in the mountains overlooking the sea before you enter Simons Town. They have a lovely menu that caters for everyone with excellent pricing. Inside is a warm pizza oven for those that does not want to sit outside on a windy day. Our experience was world class everything! Thank you to all. #BelindaJoubert
Comair Kulula and British Airways flights suspended It is shocking to say the least in the way Kulula is handling this catastrophic situation. Our flight was due early morning 15 March, we had no communication from anyone the inform us that the flights have been suspended. I was lucky that a friend called me. When I got the information I immediately contacted Kulula via email and am still waiting for a reply. There is no contact numbers or emergency numbers to find out what we should do. I think it's all orchestrated by someone to ensure SAA get back into the air. One can just thinks it was the Cape Argus a week ago and this weekend it's the Cape Epic. Flights available cost R5 000 and up for single flights. You don't need to be a genuis to smell a rat! There should be a serious investigation on what is really going on behind the scenes and where did it all start. Dominos are falling... follow the events! We are lucky to be able to stay here because we have a place but what about people who cannot afford to stay longer and the verdict is indefinite! South Africans wake up, everything is falling apart! #BelindaJoubert
10.10.10 for the courier guy! We had horrible experiences from Aramex and Post Net regarding false advertising. We went to The Courier Guy in Cosmos Business Park where the Head Office is. What a pleasure it was! We arrived late afternoon Tuesday and my parcel arrived in Hluhluwe, KZN on Wednesday afternoon. The service was amazing, the staff helpful and super efficient. The cost was only R99. 99 I will never use any other courier service again. The Courier Guy is the MAN, he is our man! Well done on fantastic service 10.10.10 #BelindaJoubert Broederstroom /Hartebee****rt
False Advertising Aramax at Pick&Pay - Village Mall The advertising price to courier is R99 We used Aramax before and the service was good. This time the cashier informed me that I have to pay R20 extra to receive a wable to add your details and get a tracking number. This is rediculous. These courier services start off good but then they get greedy. Again they advertise R99. 99 but at the end they add R120 for a piece of paper that you need to add the details of sender and receiver. Please use The Courier Guy that has integrity as I did to show these criminals that they cannot get away with ******. #BelindaJoubert - Hartebee****rt
FALSE ADVERTISING PostNet The Islands They advertise R99 to courier goods anywhere in the country. When you want to send a parcel they inform you that you are going to pay more if you want to deliver to an address. In my case one book to Hluhluwe KZN R185. This is not mentioned in their adverti*****ts, huge posters are everywhere. PostNet informed me R99 is only from PostNet to PostNet. The ombudsman should investigate this, it's criminal and unethical. They lure customers in under false pretence thinking you are going to pay R99 to courier goods under 7kg to anywhere in the country. My point is that nowhere PostNet mentions that a client has to pay more because they want to deliver door to door. They trap clients with false advertising. #BelindaJoubert - Hartebee****rt
RAM Couriers are shockingky incompetent. We have waited more than 22 days for a package from RAM to Hartebee****rt. Everyday RAM had a new lie and empty promises to deliver. Their tracking system is also lies. From 4 May to 10 May they 'left' and was on their way to us to deliver. I have never come across such incompetence. RAM employees are compulsive liers. Stay away from RAM Couriers. Go on the Website and you will read only about complaints. I rate them - 10 (Minus 10).
Vodacom - GREED - White Collar Crime ignorant consumers Government has an obligation to look after consumers but they look the other way. The previous Government had strict laws when someone wants to purchase anything re interest rates etcetera. I advise people to insist to get a copy in writing of your agreement when you want to buy a mobile phone or upgrade. The rates at banks vary from 10% and as low as 7% First National, source Google. Vodacom and I am sure all the other mobile Co's charges more than 50% for a period of 24 months and more than 75% for 36 months. This is unethical, shocking and criminal. They don't explain this to people and the 'law' allows this. What happened to the so called watch dogs? What happened to integrity and what happened to a good deal for both parties? Someone should investigate and fine the wrong doers in millions. Clients should also be refunded for being exploited blatantly. The other sin is the lies Vodacom preaches to the unsuspecting ignorant individuals. They 'claim' you start to pay back only the following month but when it is time to pay your final payment they inform you that you owe them another payment because you pay backwards. A convenient way to milk people openly. Sin number 3, you cannot cancel your contract meaning they trick you into more clever ways to steal further from you in a 'legal' way. There are no benefits, we, all of us, the person who actually allows these companies to ***** us year in and year out. Wake up people, shout out and stop this criminal activities that only fills their pockets - GREED. Stop companies like Vodacom that steal from us in a devious way to feed their GREED. #BelindaJoubert
Cradle Moon Restaurant What a pity from 5 star to minus two (-2). This was one of the most terrible experiences yet. The chips served were either left overs from other customers' plates or two days old. Flies all over our plates and a floor manager that is clueless of what customer service is. A pity Jean left, the new chef is either not up to his game or does not care. From one of our favorite places to we will Never return. On top of horrible service one has to pay a conservation fee of R50 pp even if you don't use any facilities. None of this is mentioned at the main gate.
