After using the music App for over 6 years, collecting playlists and downloading music. They wake up one morning and decide to cancel their current offering (Packages) and now trying to get us to pay double what we were for all these years. ********* to say the least. Me and my family have been on their family package for just over 3 years and now i wake this morning and get told that they do not offer that package anymore and if i want to have all of us on the App, i should have two accounts and pay double. This is very unacceptable and would advise anyone to look for an alternative.
On the 6th or 7th of March 2025, i loaded my African Bank savings account on the Uber Eats app because my usual card did not have funds in it. Transacted successfully but after about 2 hours, i received a notification on my phone saying i just accessed my African Bank App. I then logged in only to discover that 2X R500 and 1X R148.10 have been transacted from my account with a Uber Eats reference. I then called African Bank and we blocked both my savings and my credit with them. Next morning walked into the branch, replaced the cards and the consultant sent an email to Uber Eats requesting that they reverse the funds. Uber Eats sent me an email the next morning requesting all kinds of supporting information and i sent it. There was a bit of back and forth until they said, they never transacted any money from my account. On my statement, the transactions were displayed at the bottom of my statement as "uncleared" and was informed at the branch that there was nothing they could do until the funds clear. I waited almost a month and one day, i discovered that the funds had cleared but interestingly, they do not appear on my statement anymore. Its as if the money never left. I went back to the branch and the ladies helping me did not even bother with 2 of the statements i had printed during my interaction with Uber. She just informed me that she will raise a query and sent me on my way. After a week or too, i received an sms informing that my query has been resolved. I then called the bank and the consultant on the line insisted that no money was moved from my account. I Was then given an email address to submit the statements reflecting these transactions and i did, however, this morning i received an email informing me that they are failing to get hold of me. Called back only to be told by the consultant that from what she was seeing on the screen, those transactions do not exist. Now am informed that she too will escalate. When all i needed was for someone to actually sit down with these documents and understand what i am failing to explain.
On the 6th March 2025, i wanted to purchase food on their App but my registered card did not have sufficient funds, so i loaded a new card for this purchase. The cost of the order was R148.10, so i paid, waited for my food and then ate. However, about 2 hours later, i recieve an SMS on my phone informing me that i had just accessed my online banking and this was strange to me as i only went online 2 hours ago. So when i then accessed my online banking, 3 additional charges had gone through 1. R500- 2. R500- 3. R148.10 (duplicated charge). I then called my bank, we blocked the card and then went into the branch for a new card and was informed that there's nothing they can do on their end as the funds had not yet cleared (Interestingly, the funds are still yet to clear). My bank wrote an email to uber eats about the matter and uber eats sent me an email requesting all kinds of information to resolve this issue, however, they just got back to me informing that i will no longer be getting food through them until i pay R148.10 coz my bank disputed the charge and i am battling to explain to them that i was charged the R148.10 twice.
These are by far the worst agents i have ever had the "pleasure of dealing with". So, in October 2023 i moved in to one of their "managed properties on PepperTree street next Basa High in EXT 7, Protea Glen" . I should have anticipated a nightmare as i had to move house on a Monday after i had been informed that i could move over the weekend. Due to there being some items that were faulty from the previous tenant, i was assured that these would be fixed within the next 2 weeks. However, between the Agent known to me as Bheki Khumalo and the Landlord, it took them 5 months to fix a door handle. I am not a problematic tenant, don't host parties, pay my rent on time (ALL THE TIME) but now the Roller shutter door has seen it's days and then last week, it broke and i couldn't get my car out of the yard resulting in 2 missed work days. The Landlord eventually came and made a temporary fix that allowed to drive out on Friday but Saturday i had an even bigger problem coz now it was stuck again. Now both the Landlord and the Agent are not responding to calls and texts after raising this issue.
While scrolling on Tik-Tok the other day, i came across a SPITZ adverti*****t running a very insane sale. Ordered some items and even paid. A few weeks go by and nothing is forthcoming, so i go back to the website and i find an email address. I write and enquire on the status of my order and am informed that the order has been shipped and should be arriving soon. Almost a month goes by and when i enquire, the tracking information is updated and reflects that the parcel has been delivered to my billing address and i am baffled because ive been in the house the whole time. I immediately send another enquiry with regards to the delivery status and am told that the package was delivered according to my instructions and the seller is very sorry for the inconvenience and since they have also spent money in the effort to send my package, they would be willing to reimburse me 30% of my original purchase amount. The nerve...
The lack of accountability in this place is appalling. There is a useless gentleman called Nathi who is responsible for maintaining electronic impound records. I have been here 3 times and have never once found him in his office. He is always missing and his colleagues never have an idea where he might be. This guy does not belong in public service. The public is forced to study through hard copy records (books) for information He is hired and paid to record. We need accountability in this establishment. The Captain is aware of Nathi's shenanigans but does nothing to correct the behavior.
My vehicle was hijacked on the 27th August 2022 and i have been calling STD Bank VAF trying to get a settlement amount for the hijacked vehicle and i am being sent from pillar to post with all kinds of excuses. I cant understand why i cannot get a settlement amount as i'm trying to resolve my debt with Standard Bank.
Just signed up with them for Vehicle insurance and was assisting by Rajen, he actually took his time to walk me through the process
For the past month (April) my Wi-Fi connection has been disabled and I have paid my monthly subscription fee dispite the disconnection. I have been sending texts to the manager and he has been ignoring all of my efforts (including calls). The last time we spoke was on the 1st of May and he promised to reconnect me however today is the 7th of the month and like all data deals, the data expires at the end of the month irrespective of the time already lapsed. Their customer care is horrible as they lie to their customers and make false promises that they don't keep.
