My partner and I of three years live in this hotel on a long term lease basis. I have lived here with him for over 6 months. Two days ago my boyfriend told me he wants me out, today at 10am. I must take my stuff and go. He doesn't care if I sleep on the streets. (Saturday, 29 January 2022). Kenny, the owner, was disgracefully rude and refused to give me the name of his superiors (guilty, anyone?) Thus this review. I went again to the Manager/Owner, Kenny. He told me he would be sending his private security guard to escort me off the property. However, it was my now "ex boyfriend" who was getting loud and shouted at ME. But they took his side because the lease is in his name, even though he does not work and does not pay rent. (Rent is up to date currently). Dave is 54. He leaves payment up to his 24 year old daughter who works 6 days a week at a bakery. I contribute food as I'm currently awaiting a job that starts in March. Kenny claims he can kick me out because the lease is in Dave's name and they claim I'm "just a guest". It did not matter, according to Kenny AND Dave because I am a tenant now. Not a resident (?) Kenny refused to let me see the copy of the lease but it is a 2 bed apartment with space for four. The guard who was witness to my boyfriend's verbal abuse, denied it to Kenny the next day (although I audio recorded it). Know your law! You need to apply for an eviction order from a judge. On Monday. On whenever you have time. Then you serve that on me. Then I get one month's grace (no expense to me) to stay until I can find alternative accommodation. This place rips you off R50 a packet of cigarettes and R18 for a small can of coke. No vegetarian menu. Lots of loud parties, bachelor's, birthdays, alcoholics, loud music - every weekend. But I have never complained. Until now. May you run into ruin, Kenny, for trying to put someone out on the street without following the Law. I will review on Google too. Hopefully Kenny's superiors will read this. Or at least all of you honest people reading it will now know what goes on here. I would not advise you choose this place to stay if you want to enjoy a good break at a hotel. There are rats in the roof. Literally. I don't advise you to come here. Thank you!
My boss, Christo, spent a few nights at Coral Beach Guesthouse in East London and had nothing but good things to say! They even handled his washing and ironing. I would highly recommend this accommodation. Thank you to the hosts!
I would like to thank MUTSA CHIWARA, Manageress at the Ottawa Spur in Kara Glen, Edenvale for the fantastic service we consistently get from her. We try to do breakfast there at least once a week and every single time we sit down she already knows our order : how we each like our eggs, whether it's white or brown toast we prefer and she always remembers to ensure my partner doesn't get any tomato on his plate! She is an absolute credit to Spur! Thank you Ms Chiwara!
We experienced a problem with being unable to get a hold of the Bedfordview Mercure since Wednesday (2 days ago), for a very large booking of 5 people, some staying for up to 79 nights. We could not get hold of the Mecure by phone or by email and were getting extremely frustrated. I finally managed to get through to them at 17h20 on Thursday evening and spoke with Jason who informed me that the Reservations department had left for the day. He gave me his own email address and said he would ensure my matter was treated as urgent this morning. I made it explicitly clear I wanted it to be taken care of by 9am this morning (Friday). At 08h55 Gugu Makhanya, the Reservations Supervisor, called me as well as sent an email apology, saying that their systems had been down, and she had already made all of the necessary bookings. She also gave us a long-stay discount as some of the guests are staying up to 79 nights with them, as mentioned. Needless to say I am now extremely impressed with Mercure Bedfordview and look forward to our company doing a lot more business with them in the future. My thanks go out to Jason and Gugu and I do hope you will place this compliment on their personnel files, should the time come for their annual performance reviews.
Dr Lynn de Jager (please at least spell her name correctly!) has been my GP for more than 20 years. Not ONCE have I experienced anything other than absolute professional service from herself and her trusted assistant, Erna. Like the other comments in regard to her, I have always found her to be kind and understanding. She is also an immaculate doctor - you can see it from the way she dresses and behaves, so I really do struggle to believe your bad-mouthing of her. She would never allow her rooms to have dirty sheets on them. As for you saying she was extremely rough with her equipment in order to "punish" you, that notion is ridiculous. And lastly, comparing her to a person who forces themselves upon you (yes, we all know what word you used to describe her actions in your last sentence), this is actually libellous. You should be ashamed.

I have been waiting for a parcel sent in APRIL 2019 from Bethlehem post office to Johannesburg. The sender lodged a complaint but still nothing has been done. It is parcel tracking number: PE920589210ZA

Since you have claimed from you insurers as to my apparently "absconding" with your property AND still making me pay R5975 for it, you may be committing insurance fraud? I want my R5975 back as well as a letter of apology for mistakenly putting me on the SAFPS. Answers by tomorrow, close of business please.
