Subject: Urgent Complaint: Faulty Charger Pin and Poor After-Sales Experience via Retailer (Incredible Connection) Dear Acer South Africa Support, I hope this message finds you well. I am writing to formally lodge a complaint regarding a product I purchased on 25 March 2025—an Acer Aspire Lite 14” Laptop (Intel Core i3 13th Gen, 8GB RAM, 512GB SSD, Windows 11 Home, Silver), which I bought through Incredible Connection (Glen branch, Johannesburg). Within 30 days, the charger pin (thin pin type) snapped off under normal use. I returned the laptop to the retailer and requested that it be processed as a return under the Consumer Protection Act, as I was not satisfied with the durability or build quality of the unit after spending R7,000. Unfortunately, my experience with the retailer has been extremely poor: They kept the laptop for a full month without providing regular updates. I had to continuously phone and visit the store to get any feedback. Eventually, I was told that the claim was rejected and I would need to pay R900 for a new charger—which I find unacceptable for a product that failed so soon. I am very disappointed in the situation and feel let down not only by the service received at store level but also by the product's quality. I am not prepared to pay R900 for a replacement charger on a product that should still be under warranty and that failed within its first month. I kindly request that Acer intervene—either by replacing the charger free of charge or by assisting with a full return/refund through the supplier. I also request a formal explanation as to why the warranty did not cover this defect. Please treat this matter as urgent. I am available to provide the serial number and proof of purchase upon request. Sincerely,
SHOKING CUSTOER SERVICE I placed my order on the 22nd September. I have emailed them only get an automated response. Posted on their FB page on numerous times. I regret spending the R1000 and ordered direct from gloot. Their customer service is beyond pathetic, I would rather have been able to rate Gloot 0. Certainly won't recommend this to anyone to purchase directly from them. Would have rather waited for Clicks, Foschini. Would be grateful if someone can take this seriously and respond urgently with an update. My order number is GN11992
I have never experienced such shocking service I have been trying for over a month to be refunded R481.0 I have sent endless emails the stupid chat is pointless I have sent them proof of bank account certified ID to be paid. The verification process doesn’t work Can someone please assist me
Shocking Service I purchased a new tap for my kitchen over a month ago. The new tap is leaking, I have requested numerous time for a new tap to come and be fitted. When ever you call it just gets escalated to who knows where as nobody has the decency to call back. I will never purchase anything from Makro again. Its just shocking and disgusting the service from Makro
I had 4 new tyres fitted at Minty's The Glen about 5 months ago. 2 months ago the left front tyre had a "inside wall" puncture and could not be repaired and had to back again today with the same puncture. What disgusting service at Minty's The Glen. The manger is the rudest person I have ever dealt with. The only helpful person there was David the fitter. Would never ever recommend them.
I have never dealt with more incompetent people in my life. you pay and send proof of payments but they consistently hound you.

I purchased a bottle of Herbex Fat Burner at Dischem Mondeor, there was only enough liquid for 3 days I returned the bottle and they they replaced it. I sent an email complaining 3 weeks and nobody has had the decency to respond. Dischem said they would also lodge a complaint. The second bottle had the same problem, again sent another email and nobody responded, I Dischem said they would log another complaint. Believe it not the same thing happened. Sent another complaint, again no courtesy to respond. Dischem said they would contact them again and get them to call me as a matter of urgency. What a joke no call. I was now so fed up I went to Dischem The Glen as i thought it was a faulty batch. I just could not believe it this morning when i went to get my drops empty bottle. More petrol my time went to The Glen, they would give me a refund as I refused a replacement. She said the rep would be there on Tuesday. I am not waiting till Tuesday I want a call on Monday
