I am not receiving emails from MWEB since early morning and after going on their website to find out the problem I get no replies from their chat. What the heck is going on???
My credit card was debited for an amount of R691.88 after a car hire with Avis with no communication whatsoever as to what the charge relates to. I have sent 3 emails to Avis Customer Care over 10 days with no reply. It's really not what I expect from this company, hence my 1 star rating.
On 23 Jan 2025 I hired a car from Avis and dropped off on 1 Feb 2025. Everything was ok. A couple of days later I get an invoice for toll fees, but none of the roads I went on had tolls. Invoice number E544046086 I have emailed customer service twice requesting the receipts for the tolls or to credit my account, but Avis remains silent. This is really terrible service from Avis and not what I would expect. I will wait another day or so and then take my complaint to the consumer council.
I could not log onto FNB today and so decided to get ***** division to block the account. Apparentely my credit cards are cancelled now which I did know would happen. FNB have slowly but surely been sliding down hill for some time now and this bank really worries me. In addition FNB security features are very lax and there seems no inclination to get their systems up to a high security level. I am a private wealth client and do not expect this low level of service from FNB. It is very worrying.
Gomelo website is hopeless. For a company who are supposed to be top notch in travel bookings, one cannot even get onto their website.
