I just had a call from Pro Debt Solutions about apparently overpaying on interest on my accounts to only figure out it's another company offering debt revue. my problem is the following: the next moment, after saying no thank you and ending the call, I get a SMS saying I gave permission to these people to do a credit check Do I not have any privacy according to the POPIA act? How are they just allowed to get all my information like that. I will be needing answers please. I did try to contact the credit ombudsman but the contact number supp**** goes straight to VM

If I could do this without rating with a star I would - last Thursday Bettersure let me know that they decided my R12 000 was only worth R6808, without any explanation. I signed the loss letter as incompetence is not what's needed when you've had a traumatic experience at your residence, where you're supposed to feel safe. I was told the money would be in my account (which I also verified and it's the same account they can't wait to take their monthly payment from) in 2 to 5 working days - today I PHONE (they don't communicate) to find out what's going on, just to be told they tried to pay it over but the bank account number wasn't correct - again the same account they take their money from every month. they also can't put me through to their finance dept because they don't have a number for them. Can I take this to the Ombudsman?
PRUDENCE GUMEDE I don't know who I need to contact, but girl, you can be used as an example of what customer service should be like. You can teach that to others. I was not a happy camper when I phoned, but your absolute professionalism, patience for days and help with all my questions, was exactly what I need to calm down. after heavy rains in PE near end April I submitted a claim with Bettersure. They wasted no time in getting the accessor out to the premises after the outbuilding roof just about collapsed under the rain. the claim was submitted to Old Mutual on 30 April - I'm still waiting - every time I phone Bettersure I'm told they're waiting for feedback - How long am I supposed to wait? we have a severe weather warning with heavy rains for the next 4 days starting tomorrow. what do I do now? Surely if they didn't want to honor the claim they should've let me know so I could get the repairs done. Now, because we are waiting for Old Mutual - it's too late! What legal steps can I take?
I upgraded my Vodacom contract - fantastic service from the lady at Vodacom, then I'm told Ram Couriers will deliver. Yesterday I get a phone call from a Ram driver to tell me he is at my work address and I'm not there, which was correct, I was booked off sick. I told him, that because I work for a courier company myself, I understand delivering to my house is out of his route, but I would be at work today, 28 July. NObody shows today and I start phoning Ram only to speak to a gentleman in their customer service centre who cleary wasn't interested in my complaint, in fact he proceeded to just sigh in my ear and tell me because a contact number was updated, my delivery has been put on hold. I've never in my life heard of anything like that - the company I work for do RICA deliveries daily - we bend over backwards to accommodate our customers, why can't RAM - How is it possible that the driver can be here 1 day and the very next day the delivery can't take place. I even phone the number the driver phoned me from yesterday and the gentleman I spoke to confirmed he is a RAM delivery agent, but the phone was used by a different route yesterday and he isn't on my route today. I want my phone - today!!
