I recently attempted to apply for credit using the online portal, only to have my application declined due to my credit score and ITC checks. because of having two prescribed accounts still on my profile, I was unable to qualify for the pay 3 option that would have helped me build my credit record. Disappointed, I emailed customer support suggesting the possibility of opening a secured account where I could put down a deposit of R1000 to be used as a credit limit. Unfortunately, this suggestion was also turned down. I strongly believe that there must be a solution for me to access this account. The pay 3 option should at least be offered as it poses a low risk with potential benefits for both the retailer and myself. By allowing customers like me to pay 50% upfront, the cost of the items purchased would already be covered. I feel that there is a significant market gap in catering to individuals who can afford these accounts but are unable to access them due to stringent requirements. If retailers were to consider lowering the requirements for payment schemes like the pay 3 option across all its stores, it could potentially tap into a market that other chains have failed to reach. Not only could this benefit customers like myself, but it could also lead to significant profits for the retailer. While I may not be a financial advisor, these thoughts and suggestions come from a place of genuine desire to access the benefits of the retailer's credit options. I hope that someone higher up can consider these ideas and offer a solution that works for everyone.
I have been with FNB since 2015, both personally and through my business, which I started in 2016. Despite being a loyal customer for nearly a decade, my experience with FNB has been incredibly frustrating, especially when it comes to accessing credit facilities for my business. In 2017, I had an issue with a personal credit card, which prescribed by 2020. However, FNB has held this against me ever since, blocking any credit options for both my personal and business accounts—even though the debt is legally prescribed. When I tried to settle it years ago, they refused to accept payment, yet also refused to help me move forward. This lack of support has had a major negative impact on my business. We struggled through tough years, and just as we started securing contracts with big-name companies (including some blue-chip clients), FNB’s refusal to provide financing has crippled our ability to scale. We’ve been left without working capital or credit facilities, making it nearly impossible to fulfill large orders. The most frustrating part? No solutions, no flexibility, and no real assistance—just automated rejections. Every time I speak to a consultant, they simply say, "There’s nothing we can do," without offering alternatives. If you're a business owner looking for a bank that will actually support your growth, FNB is not the right choice. I strongly recommend finding a bank that offers real relationship banking, where your history and potential matter more than rigid system blocks. FNB’s approach is outdated, inflexible, and harmful to small businesses trying to grow. If you need a bank that will work with you through challenges and help your business succeed, look elsewhere. FNB has failed me as a long-term customer, and I wouldn’t recommend them to any serious entrepreneur.
Once again fnb customer care is useless, they was supposed to get bcak to me on the 9th within 24hours and today is the 13th
I'm done with fnb, I can't access any facility's because of old debt they wrote of which was a premier credit card, now I have my business and personal on fnb just to pay over R1000 a month fees with no help from them , I'm switching to standard bank which is offering me way more, I tried contacting fnb so many times with no help from them they just reroute your call to another and another person, in the end you get fed up and cut the call, my debt was written off, it isn't on my profile nor can the consultants pick it up on they system how do I get it cleared? Last time I tried they keep reffering the matter to other people every few days and the last message I got theyl give me feedback after 20+ days, After trying over a year I'm done I'm switching to standard bank which gave me a bond n more offering my business facilities, no business person can wait for stuff to process to long it should of been taken as a serious matter and be sorted out asap, I'm done
I made an order via the app the restaurant delivered to me 2 hours later, order was made 20:05 they delivered 22:06 ridiculous, I called the restaurant multiple times, the pizza came cold cold
Love the bank, love the app, love the simplicity but I did a review about 18 months ago which I explained that I was on prevent fraud on capitec system because of some pay slips I made years ago as I'm self employed n they didn't accept the pay slips and at that time didn't deal with self employed clients, after the review capitec called me n they said they would take it of as they stated to deal with self employed etc, 1 year 6 months, a bond, vehicle finance and few accounts later I'm still on prevent fraud, capitec could make so much of self employed clients but we couldn't do no bussiness together, was thinking about mkn all my staff open up capitec n paying them via my capitec acc but I think it's best time to just close the acc n move on with fnb
Quick , fast and efficient, I had an urgent sample that I needed down in durban from Johannesburg, I was willing to go up myself and pick it up which would of costed me around R2500 , my friend told me about you guys and I did a quick online quote for an overnight delivery , it was so easy no phone calls, no hassle no 100 questions , after a 5min form online I did a card payment on the site and everything was done , my delivery arrived at 13,30 the next day , saved me alot I would recommend yourl to everyone I know
Bout a 12000 btu portable aircon from makro , there had a few options but I choose hisense because I have other appliances thats the same brand and worked well , unfortunately this doesn't perform well at all , it blows very slow and my fan blows more air than this aircon , I have a standard size room and the room doesn't get cool , I have to switch my fan on instead , very disappointed
My girlfriend ordered a chain and bracelet set for me , when it arrived we opened the packaging only to see a faded silver iron looking chain not even chromed or polished it looks very poorly made and cheap , something I wouldn't even pay R20 f0r , the person we ordered it from said we can not exchange it which is ridiculous I wouldn't even buy this chain for a dog I would atleast get a chromed one , I dont think anyone should trust the pictures in the books as it shows one thing and you get a poor quality replica
