Very poor customer service from a manager (Carrol) itself at Xpresso Cafe renting at Rosebank College PTA!! She explicitly said she is not going to assist a staff member and that she should return to her office rather then assisting first and explain a way forward. Delivering poor customer service infront of students also.

I just left your café now in canal walk next to sportsmen, the african girl sold me the last 2 scones in the counter, while she was billing, her colleague came with a tray full of scones from the oven, I then asked her ,dear can I please have the hot ones instead that just came In, she said no all were made this morning . And she turned to her colleague to explain was I was asking for and that she told me that all are the same.the colleague laughed and that's when I realized I'm being fooled and laughed at. I then told her I'll buy 1 more if the scones that just came in ,when she handed it over to me it was hot straight from the oven. I understand FIFO in Hospitality but were do u draw the line of Integrity and honesty with your staff, laughing in my face coz they **** to me. Today they lying to a guest, tomorrow they lying about internal theft.

I am writing to express my disgust with the service I received at the Expresso store on Loop Street, Cape Town CBD. One of your cashiers, who claimed to be a manager, incorrectly charged me for two iced coffees instead of three. When I politely advised her that I had ordered three, she responded with a poor attitude rather than apologizing for the mistake. When I questioned why she was not apologizing, she accused me of shouting, which was not the case. She further stated that I had an attitude when I entered the store. My mood upon entering is irrelevant — I was a paying customer and deserved to be treated with basic respect and professionalism. The entire interaction was unprofessional and disappointing, especially coming from someone who identified herself as a manager. This experience has left me extremely dissatisfied with Expresso’s customer service standards. I trust this matter will be addressed appropriately.

been to the phoenix branch almost daily , the custard croosants are the best and ice coffee is divine , only problem it gets sold out fast lol , anyway thumps up

Xpresso Café, Victoria Centre, Pietermaritzburg Dear Management, I am writing to express my disappointment with the service my brother and his friend received at your café on 24 November 2025. When they asked about the price of the chicken salad, the staff member responded with a rude attitude. She referred to the two boys as “Sisi’s” (implying they were girls) and then walked away, leaving them without any explanation or assistance from a colleague. Such behaviour is unacceptable, especially in a customer‑focused environment. I hope you can look into this matter and ensure that all guests are treated with respect and professionalism. Bought pastries and drinks for two at the Westgate Shopping Centre branch and the staff are so wonderfully warm and easy to engage with and the food is great quality. They also are true to advertising when it comes to pricing and is a wonderful place to pop into anytime! It is #BlackFriday everyday there!!

The Xpresso in Chatsworth Centre - i have always purchased and never had a problem until yesterday when i purchased an ice coffee, i started getting extreme stomach cramps with constant diarrhea right up until the next day. That was definitely poor hygiene and a contaminated drink. Extremely disappointing as it was one of my big family event.
