This is about McDonald's at Paradise Junction, Pinetown. ****** at it's finest. Entered the McDonald's at 12pm. Order placed by 12:10pm. Waited until 1:25pm to be served. I was told, by a staff member when I entered, that the app isn't working but I can order the 30th birthday Big Mac special for 5 people if I just place them as cheeseburger Nazo meals. There was no mention, whatsoever, that I needed more than one app. I waited over one hour to then be served 5 small cheeseburger Nazo meals. When I asked the staff member who was serving me why I didn't get my 5 big Mac specials which I was told I would be receiving, she said "that's not how it works". She argued that I needed to be using 5 different phones and yet she was the one who said I would be receiving 5 big Mac meals. The ****** comes in when all darker skinned people were given as many big Mac specials as they ordered. Even people who came in after me were served before me. At least 90% of them had just one receipt. It didn't matter that they only used one phone and one app. When it came to my Indian brother and I, we were not served what we ordered. The staff member just chose to argue instead, saying we needed 5 receipts from 5 different apps. Why tell a customer something and then go against your word? Is there no such thing as customer service anymore? We then asked for a refund and were told we'd need to contact head office. Absolutely disgusted by the behaviour of the staff.
We had a lovely call with Goodman Madela. He was very helpful and knew exactly what he was talking about. Everything was sorted without hassle and I look forward to my pets being covered by Oneplan.
I've been a regular customer of Tommy's Sushi at Paradise Junction, Sarnia. Will never be going back there. Yesterday afternoon we ordered a few items off the menu, one of them being the Kong Pao chilli chicken with fried rice. I fetched the order just after 4pm. Got home, had a bite or two and then went to tutor a student. Got back home at 6pm, sat down to eat only to find that my whole container of Kong Pao had become slimy and sticky. The whole thing had gone off. I decided to just call the restaurant the next morning to let them know what happened. Even kept the food to take it them if they needed proof. The manager outright refused to come to the phone. We were told that the food is to be eaten within 3 hours! They've never said this before and now suddenly we're supposed to just know that? They refused to give a refund and cut the call. I'm absolutely disgusted by the service. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone.
I've loved this store for many years now. They used to have the most beautiful physical store up in Hillcrest where the service and staff were absolutely magical. It is now an online store. The service is still excellent. Orders are delivered on time and the prices are great. One of the best online Harry Potter merchandise stores in South Africa.
The best pet insurance in SA. Any and every time my pets have gotten ill or have needed to be left over night for treatment in the veterinary hospital, Dotsure has been there for me. Not only do they send a get well soon email, but they help out with reimbursing the cost of treatment within 24 hours. The call centre agents are the most kind and caring people I've ever had the honour of speaking to. They're always so considerate and patient. I would recommend Dotsure to everyone who has a pet in their life.
My boyfriend ordered and paid for a Bluey house playset on the website on the 21st of December 2023. We've still not received the package and there have been no updates from the company regarding this matter. The package was never delivered. This is *****. We expect a refund.
I go to VC Westville. I'm in my final year of a BA degree and have failed both Research modules; one from first semester, and the second from second semester. I worked really hard in first semester, but still failed. The administration team and HOD were not helpful at all; they believed that the students in my class were just complaining all the time instead of realising that the lecturer who was given to us had no idea what she was doing. For the first semester all we were taught was "What is a hypothesis?". We did not even get through all the learning units as she would jump from one to the other and back again. Every time we would ask for her help, she would help us and tell us we were on the right path; she would go as far as telling us exactly what to write for things such as our research proposal title, but when we would do as she said then hand in our work, she would mark it wrong and fail us. I used the research title that she had given to me, and yet she marked it wrong and failed me. We struggled with her for almost the whole semester until they decided to replace her. The HOD then came in to do a "catch-up" or revision session with us, but did not believe that we had not done all the learning units because at Varsity College it seems that the students are always wrong. When the students tried to ask the other research lecturer for help they got in trouble, and were told to not go to her because we would "get confused with the different teaching styles", even though we were already confused about the module in general. After that we had a good lecturer, but it was too late as I had already lost the plot of Research and failed the first exam and the supplementary exam by 2%. In second semester we had a completely new lecturer; she was great and tried her best to help as much as she could. Everything was going good until almost the whole class failed the first and second submission of their POE. We were then told that "everyone" fails those ones and that we would pass the third submission. It was later found out that we had to make CASS in order to do the final or fourth submission even though we were not told this from the start. I did not qualify to do the final submission anyway, but what irks me is that certain things that we were told to do in our submissions were marked wrong afterwards because the Department apparently said that we were doing things the wrong way. For both Research modules the same thing happened. We were told to do one thing, we did it, and then it turned out to be wrong. The admin staff were no help and did not listen to our concerns properly and just did what they thought we needed. The HOD would consistently tell us that we were in third year and that we were supposed to be doing things on our own now. There's nothing wrong with working independently if we actually knew what we were doing; but when things aren't explained properly and when you're constantly told that what you're doing is wrong, then it's very hard to do the work. The administration staff were also just very lazy and more concerned about themselves in general. I was put into the wrong group for a module I was repeating and missed lectures because of it until I went to admin myself and asked for it to be corrected. Not only that, but when lectures were moved to different dates or when timetables were changed I was not informed because I was a third year student repeating a second year module. I was constantly told that the information was on my Student Portal even though it was not at first; it was only after I clarified that I'm in third year repeating the second year module that they cleared things up. I found it very unprofessional that I, as a student, had to keep going to admin to correct their mistakes. Repeating the Research modules is not my concern, but the lack of student support from the main people who are supposed to help us is very concerning and demotivating. I hope that next year, when I repeat those modules, I don't have the same problem again.
Magic Company? More like tragic company. My parents and I decided to go on the X-Rider (?), the ride inside the game room where you can choose to go on a virtual rollercoaster etc. When the ride started everything was fine, after a minute or so the ride started moving us a bit too fast, almost throwing us off the seats even though we were all buckled in. We knew there was a camera on the inside from which the attendant could see us from the outside, so we started very loudly asking her to stop the ride. We even made stop signs at the camera and kept calling her to the point where we were actually shouting for the ride to stop. My mom nearly had a panic attack and my dad was getting hurt from how violently the seats were moving. We know the ride is supposed to move, but for some reason the whole mechanism seemed to have not been working properly this time. When we were exiting the ride the attendant was very rude and was basically telling us to get out. She had her back turned to us and the screen from which she was supposed to be watching to ensure the safety of the riders. I didn't get her name but she was a plus sized black lady with short black hair which had blonde at the front. I am absolutely disgusted at her lack of concern for the people who enter this ride, thinking that they are safe. I hope this lady is given proper training on safety because God forbid if something ever happens to someone under her "care" while on the ride.

Last Thursday morning my mom was admitted to Busamed Gateway hospital - supposedly a private hospital. She had to undergo a rotator cuff repair done by Dr Keegan Naidoo - he's a brilliant orthopaedic surgeon who we would highly recommend. My mom was in ward D and the treatment she received was pathetic. The nurses were given instructions to provide my mom with pain medication every four hours. This was only administered once after she came out of surgery. She was not attended to when she needed the bathroom even after asking time and time again - the nurses kept telling her to "hold it". When I arrived during visiting hours at 7pm (6 and a half hours after her surgery), I asked a nurse to disconnect the IV drip so I could take my mom to the bathroom - the nurse told me that she was now off duty and couldn't help me. I told her it would only take a second, but she insisted that she couldn't help me, then she walked away to chat to other nurses. There was also no toilet paper in the bathroom. The sling on my mom's arm was also put incorrectly which caused her arm to be in more pain. The head nurse, Sharon, had said that she would fix the sling but she never did. My mom struggled to sleep due to the severe pain and noise from the nurses chatting and laughing. She was left writhing in pain until 2am when she finally tried to call the doctor which got a reaction out of the nurses because they were afraid that they would be reported. She was then given some pain medication. The catering services were just as bad. My mom had asked the nurse what was available for breakfast and was repeatedly only given one option. The next morning my mom was given cold eggs and bacon, while the lady in the bed opposite her was given a ****in, cereal, eggs, and bacon. When my mom enquired about the breakfast again, she was told that she had never asked for more options. The nurses helped the lady in the opposite bed have a bath but left my mom to suffer and bath herself while she was dizzy from the medication. The doctor had advised my mom to stay for another night due to her severe pain, but because of the absolutely horrid treatment from the nurses she chose to rather come home. This is supposed to be a private hospital. People pay so much to be in that hospital and yet the treatment of patients is so pathetic. We would never recommend this hospital to anyone. The only nurses we would like to commend are Nonkululeko for helping my mom to eat her dinner, and Romi for helping when she was being discharged.
