Their anti-rust 'guarantee' that they have on their products and website is a load of bs. The moment you phone they pass you one from person to person then claim it's only a limited time warranty, and they can't be held to anything.
Utterly useless. I understand it is Covid, and I understand there are difficulties, but 6 MONTHS to send a box from the USA to SA and they "cannot give more information" is not acceptable! THE BOX STILL HAS NOT ARRIVED!!! and they tell me to take it up with the merchant! It's not the merchant's fault, they have done the best to help me, even sent me a second box, WHICH DLH LOST TOO!!! The call center are no help, and in essence tell me it is not their problem.
Please let us know if your staff get rewards for good reviews, they really deserve it! We had lunch with our friends at this branch and were blown away by the great service! I'm allergic to shellfish, so I was concerned when I saw prawn as one of their burger options. I double checked with the chef if the grills were separated by proteins, but he confirmed they use all the grills for all the meals. This was not a problem as I expected as much (my allergy, my responsibility) and chose to take a salad instead. Skhumbuzo - our stunning waiter - noticed my query and offered to take one of the electric grills that they keep aside for emergencies and specially grill my burger on it's own for me. Not only did he go out of his way for my one burger, but he moved us to a larger table when it opened up (without us even asking), was frendly, and conversational, and did an all round great job. We thoroughly enjoyed our time there.
What a wonderful experience. The stock is fresh, the staff are wonderful, and the prices are really fair for the quality.
Checkers Rondebosch. So frustrating. The saff are either badly trained or just don't care. The meats are pre-cut, then left open to oxidize and grey. I ordered sandwich ham, and asked that they not give me the outside slice as it was discoloured, I was ignored. When you complain, they stare at you like you have lost your mind. The staff don't know what half of the products are, never mind where to find them.
I have been using Citi Sprint for some time (2yrs +) and have always had the best service and a great experience. We have used them for work deliveries mainly, but personal delivers have been handled well too.
Why they should get 5 stars - Their Long Street branch - I work around the block and they are amazing. Quick, friendly, great service, great food. the 1 time I had a problem, it was solved in 5 minutes flat. Why they should get 1 star - Their Rondebosch branch - They are terrible. I have been there on 5 occasions and they ALWAYS disappoint. The food is always wrong, bland and has half the ingredients missing. The service is slow and they always have something to say about why you are the one in the wrong for complaining.
I work in the area and pop down maybe twice a week just to grab a bottle for the office. The staff are friendly and always happy to help whether I know what I'm looking for or not. Sometimes i just browse. The only issue is the sheer volume of wine bottles they have. If you do not know what you are looking for, it can be a bit daunting. But the staff are friendly and informed, and its a great experience.
