I have been struggling for months with BP’s promotional cars. I went out of my way to use MORE fuel just to collect all the vouchers, only to be left with the last few vouchers and no cars. Their so-called “customer care” is useless – full of empty promises, and when you push for answers, they simply ignore you. I WAS a loyal BP client, only ever using BP. But after this experience, I will never go back. I have switched to Engen, and I must say their service is better, and even their fuel seems to last longer. In the end, BP’s dishonesty just pushed me toward something better. Pathetic service.
Ordered things online on Friday, 27 June 2025. Paid in full, with delivery. Received the invoice the next morning around 4am. Wrong products in the invoice. They made a mistake. Now they not giving me my product. Asked for refund in full. They said they will refund on Saturday/Sunday. Still no refund, no call backs. They not even answering when you phone. Pathetic service
I have been complaining since 08/03/2024, still not resolved. I have a home loan with this bank - worst mistake of my life trusting them with my bond. They sent me an email saying I can download their app to see what is going on on my account. I did that, and with a shock I saw my 20 year bond is 21 years. Immediately, I asked for assistance regarding. In 2023 June, they said that they just changing the linked rate to fixed and extending the term with 12 months, I have never asked for it, nor approved it. I immediately declined it and told them they are breaking contract (as they just changing a legal signed contract like they want to, without my consent). I got an email back stating that they did not change the account. So I believed them, this was my mistake. They eventually changed back the rate as it had to be in 2024 (since 2023 (almost a year later)), then it was a struggle to get the fixed, which eventually happened. I told them that they have charged extra interest since changing it to 21 years (logic), so I have been paying more interest for almost a year. And logically interest was worked out for the extended 12 months. Until now, I am struggling to get proper feedback from them regarding the interest. According to them, I don't owe them any interest and they don't owe me anything, which is impossible as the interest has been worked out according to the new term. They say they don't need to send me any reports regarding this. Keep in mind, they took my linked rate and they just fixed it, so my premium stayed the same, even though the term has changed, which already tells me that something is wrong, as my premium had to be less than what it was because of the extra year, but it did not change, so for +-1 year I have been paying a lot more than I had to. Now they hiding all the reports and all the calculations, not wanting me to see it. Pathetic service. PS: they now reading my emails, but ignoring me.
One star is way too much. I took a home loan through Standard Bank. In 2023 they emailed me to tell me that they are changing my contract (without my consent) to a fixed term and they will add an extra 12 months to my contract. I have informed them that I do not agree with this, and that I do not want it, they should cancel it and keep with the originally signed contract. They confirmed that it was cancelled. March 2024 I received an email from them saying that I can download their app. I did that. When opening this app, I noticed that they added the extra 12 months to my account AFTER I CANCELLED it. Of course they added 12 months extra interest as well. Now it is up and down with them trying to fix THEIR MESS. Make sure your statements, term and rates are as your agreement with them!
Very very bad service. First the order/parcel was missing in action, with a lot of stories. Eventually, after a big struggle, I got the parcel. Now the item is broken. And it is IMPOSSIBLE to get assistance to return it. They are not even worth 1 star. Just had problems from the start. Should've known that this will happen. I would not recommend them at all

THE WORST COMPANY! ONE STAR IS WAY TOO MANY. I took my 2019 Mahindra XUV300 W8 for it's 50 000km service in July. (ONLY A SERVICE). Got my car back, and I have had problems since then. (keep in mind - before the service, my car was 100%) So this car started to 'shake' and it was as if there was no diesel coming through. Took it back. They ASSUME that I use filthy diesel (I only use Shell - and if NEEDED I will use Engen, Caltex, etc - big garages - so according to them, these garages gives filthy diesel) so my diesel filter had to be changed. They did not want to test my diesel - they kept on assuming it is filthy. They only 'changed' it on 30 000km service and on 20 000km it was FILTHY - not even sure if it is my filter they showing me, because IF they did change it on 30 000km, it would never look like this, I really do think that they never changed the filter. I paid for it to be fixed, just to get them out of my life. Got the car back again - drove +-20km, it started to shake, engine light comes on, limp mode - phone them - they tell me I can drive with the car. Took it back, AGAIN. Now they telling me that they forgot to reset my car when they removed the battery to replace the filter - not making sense, BUT OKAY. - got it back again. Drove a bit with it - in traffic engine light comes on, shaking, limp mode. So I phoned them again. They tell me I have to just bring it back again. Took it back - AGAIN - now they speculating (they have NO clue on what is going on). It might be the injectors, might be something electrical. They keep on 'testing' my car, uses all the diesel in the car, phones me to tell me they going to through in R200.00, and I have to pay for it. (I HAVE NO PROOF THAT THEY ACTUALLY DID THIS, when I asked them for the slip - it was gone, so I am still waiting for it.) Eventually Mahindra SA says they have to replace the engine harness, but this workshop still thinks it is not the harness. They think Mahindra SA is wrong and that it is actually the injectors and not the harness. So according to them, I will definitely go back again, because the 'know' that the harness is not the problem. They replaced the harness, and I got it back again (they had my car for +-1 month, they just don't care - you sit without transport). The same day I got my car back - the idling was wrong, there's new scratches on my car - BUT OF COURSE, it wasn't them. So PLEASE WALK AROUND YOUR VEHICLE PROPERLY BEFORE TAKING YOUR CAR, if you decide to come to this 'workshop'. They also tried to polish it out TWICE. 1st time - so that I won't see it, 2nd time because I complained. Why go through so much trouble if it wasn't you? - and it is definitely not for client services, because you still have to learn about this. I took the car back again, now, after they had the thing for a month, their mechanic says that there is some clamp loose (and he did not touch this thing), but after he did my service - everything that he 'did not touch' broke. THIS IS FUNNY. So he 'fixed' it - got it back again, it was STILL NOT FIXED. I requested the photos they took of my vehicle - but the phone is 'broken' - I also requested the video footage on the 1st of September - still waiting for it. I want to see how they scratched my vehicle. It seems like they trying to hide something. I also HAD rubber carpets in my car, and this is also gone now, 'they did not mention it on the job card' so they say it wasn't in the car. WHY mention rubber carpets on the job card, it is not as if the rubber carpets is going to influence the car's driving? This workshop is just ridiculous. They also don't walk around the car with you to show what mess they made, they just talk A LOT to chase you away. NO INSPECTION DONE. So I took my car to Auto Sphere Mahindra. They fixed the idling in a day's time, and the rest of things that was still a mess, which Mahindra Benoni couldn't see. They took some of my diesel out to see if it is filthy - it is clean. Mahindra Benoni does not know how to work on vehicles, so they just make a mess when they TRY to think.
Worst service ever. I wish there was a option to not give any stars. NO Service. They do not have confidence in their own parts - so no warranty is given when your parts are being replaced, when serviced. According to them, they 'replaced' my diesel filter on 30 000km. On 50 000km they did not change it, because it 'should last for 40 000km'. Well, it did not. It only lasted for 20 000km, and I had to pay for the repairs. You buy a new car with warranty and service plan, but you as a client are still liable for repairs. According to them, garages like Engen, Caltex, Shell, etc, have 'filthy diesel'. They will not take responsibility for it, so you as a customer has to take responsibility. They rather say that you don't have cover, before keeping you happy. If they had any confidence in their parts, they would've given warranties on their parts, but they know if they give warranties on their parts, they would have to fix problems more, which will cost them a lot. I am not sure how they want you as a client to know that the fuel you use, at garages this big, is filthy? They just don't care. They should maybe try to get their parts up to standard. I emailed them as well, no response, of course. STAY AWAY FROM BUYING MAHINDRA. You will make a huge mistake.
Worst experience ever. They are quick to take the premium, but when it comes to claims, you struggle. It takes them '48 hours' to do a payment, what a joke. I had 2 small claims, had to fight to get this paid. Never struggled like this before in my life. Had to fight everyday, till the claim was paid. 1st claim, my broker sorted out (struggling with them as well), 2nd claim I had to do by myself, because the brokers did not want to. Pathetic service. Cancelling immediately, moving to another company. Now we will see if they are going to cancel it by the end of the month. When I did quotes on new insurance, they told me that my insurance with Bryte is wrong, so if something happens to my car, it will not be paid. So you pay premiums for NOTHING, wasting your money.
