I've never had a complaint about Standard Bank before, always recieved the best service, until I tried to apply for a LOAN. When I called, they told me what I needed and I was relieved that it wasn't as much as I though (documents), but when I went to Standard Bank in PAROW, they told me the complete opposite of what was communicated with me on the phone. I am a freelancer and they made it exceptionally difficult for me. I was told I needed pay slips - being a FREELANCER, you don't recieve payslips from your clients, BUT I managed to get them anyway, as well as proof of my invoices. They proceeded to tell me I needed MORE PROOF to show them I am a freelancer, then asked me for a letter from my CLIENT (I was not told this on the phone call prior) I left the bank, spoke to my client, got a letter, went back to the bank with: 1) Pay slips 2) Letter from client as extra proof 3) My invoices. When I got back from running up and down, they then said it is STILL invalid because I needed a document from SARS stating I am a freelancer! This was NOT mentioned in the first interaction OR on the phone call. After this complete miscommunication and incompetence, the lady that assistanced me then said, "oh but you don't quality for a loan anyway because you have a student account" (which I changed two years ago) she then said I can try for a loan by a different bank. This encounter was horrific and unprofessional at best. Have your employees communication the SAME information both on calls and in branches. Stop making your clients lives difficult.
Shein went over my expectations! I love their products and clothing, when I recieved them it was good quality. They have a delivery timeline available for you on the app to see exactly were your items are. I recieved my orders three weeks before the time! They are fast, efficient, and reliable, very good courier service aswell.
We were scheduled for Stage 2 load shedding today from 10:00 - 12:30, but we've been off for the last six hours! This inconvenience has cost me to loose clients as I work from home and rely on electricity. I contacted customer care and a utterly idiotic woman told me to check the power boxes OUTSIDE my house! I didn't realise I had to be a fully equipped electrician to help ESKOM do their job. I asked her to give me a WORKING number for their head office or the manager and she responds by saying she doesn't know and everyone is working from home. She then raises her voice when I asks her basic questions she could not answer. So not only is their customer care and staff ill trained to deal with clients, but they are also uneducated and rude. ESKOM is by far the worst company along with every other government enterprise in South Africa. I have still not gotten reason to why we have no power!
I was by the Parow Traffic Department today to make my licence appointment, my learners expires on the 21st of August, THREE MONTHS from now. One of their lazy incompetent staff members, told me they have ONE date available on the 24th of August, ONE date for ALL learners?? NO available dates in the next three months?? She proceeded to say I must re-do my learners test even though it is valid for three months. If you can't do your job, don't do it.

They have absolutely NO competent people working in their department! There is no scheduled load shedding in our area, yet three houses power are off for NO REASON, their call centre is completely USELESS, stating someone will be able to help in the next 7 HOURS, I've never delt with a whole company of complete and utter *****s.
I had a problem with my banking app, and Standard Bank consultants helped me within 15 minutes over a call! Very helpful and lovely, happy to be banking with them!
UberGo is so unreliable! The drivers are always 15-20 minutes away, they NEVER confirm your order, if anything you have to wait longer for a confirmation - and when they do, they cancel half way! Very bad service.
I purchased a tattoo kit last year and was surprised that it contained items of good quality and arrived in three days. THIS TIME I ordered the same product and they sent a cheap knock off version of what was advertised, half of the items was NOT in the kit, ALL items are low quality, the kit is smaller, and this will cause a delay in my business - I am so dissapointed and because of this, I will NOT be ordering from them again.
This review is ONLY for the Telkom store in Canal Walk - I've been battling with the incompetence of customer care, and Telkoms branch in Parow centre - simply the worst, they where unable to do a simple sim swop, I was told my number was recycled, only to find out that they are LIARS and LAZY. When I went to Telkom in Canal Walk, this problem was fixed in 10 minutes - the staff is helpful and also good looking.
