On paper, this is a good investment model. Their products offer returns that beat inflation and the typical banking interest rates. However, the business management side of things is where it becomes a bad investment. If it’s not the late allocation of assets following a purchase by an investor, it is the extreme delay in payouts following withdrawal requests. The waiting period for the payout is 30 days. As if that’s not already long enough, they will make you wait even longer, claiming farmers do not pay them on time. Invest at your own risk.
I was in the market for a T-Cross and made an inquiry with Bidvest McCarthy Silver Oaks after seeing a comfortline model I was interested in. Jaco de Bruyn got in touch with me and assisted me in buying the car. After collecting the car from their dealership on Saturday 19 August 2023, and having driven it for about 20km, a warning came on to say, "loss of pressure in rear left tyre." I ignored the warning until I got home in JHB. The next Monday, I called Jaco to inform him of the warning. He said it's nothing, I just have to set the tyre pressure on the infotainment screen and click OK. Once I did this, the warning went away. But a few days later, it came back on. I then went to a VW dealership in Braamfontein regarding the matter. They also just set the tyre pressure and clicked ok and the warning disappeared. But a couple of weeks later, the warning resurfaced. I have a suspicion that the tyre has a puncture. I will visit a Wheel and Tyre workshop for a diagnosis before taking any further steps.
Service is poor to say the least. Got to the store and there was a lady there. But she couldn't assist me because I was paying via medical aid card. I had to wait for the person who'd be able to help me - it turned out he is operator and owner of the pharmacy. Hi name is Mzandile G Khumalo.
I made an enquiry about a particular vehicle on their showroom. I was asked to pay a holding deposit in order secure the vehicle for 48 hrs in case I wanted to go ahead and buy the car. Sadly, I couldn't buy the vehicle although it was in a good condition. Their policy says the holding deposit gets returned to you immediately if you end up not buying the vehicle. However, I haven't received mine, 48 hours later.
Auto Pedigree's customer service is appalling to say the least. I get the impression they're not serious about business. I made several queries about a particular vehicle that I wanted. The consultants at their head headquarters would call me and put me in touch with a sales person at a dealership. The sales persons would undertake to get back to me with more details regarding the vehicle, but never would. Curiously, I then checked how they fared on Hellopeter and it's not surprising that they're failing customers.
I have been staying at the Afcho building, Greatermans, at 220 Commissioner, for over 3 years. This building is horribly managed and the services are appalling. Housekeeping rules are not enforced. People play music loudly deep into the AMs. The flat has no back-up generator and the free Wi-Fi they offer, is increasingly not reliable. Recently, certain tenants are engaging in the criminal activity of breaking into other tenants' flats and stealing their possessions, from TV's and gadgets to refrigerators. Furthermore, gym equipment is also being stolen. The most common crime is theft of clothes on the washing lines. All of these crime incidents have been reported to the caretaker and management. But nothing is being done. I'm fed up with this place and afhco as a whole.
I was skeptical to place an order with them as I had never heard of their existence. They and Takealot had the item I wanted, JBL Cinema SB170 soundbar, priced the same. But, Takealot increased their price the next day and I was left with Shop and Ship. I took my chances after going through the reviews on theor site. Now here I am giving them a five star. I will drop a review of the soundbar once I've figured out how to adjust the sound balance and have tested the speaker on max volume.
I placed an order on November 28. They claim to deliver in 3 days. Today, is December 8 and it hasn't arrived. What's worse, I was notified of one of my items being out of stock and yet I paid for it. Instead of giving me a refund, they said I'll get a store credit refund; meaning I can only use it on their website. I'm truly disappointed by their awful service.
Appalling service! We placed an order for the purchase and installation of doors and windows to the tune of R28 023 on 01 March 2021. They informed us of a waiting period of 15 working days while we were getting a quote from them prior to placing the order. On the 15th day, we emailed them for they had kept us in the dark as to the readiness of our order. To our irritation, they had not started making our products. To illustrate the dismal professionalism of Marius, the business owner, and co., my girlfriend also placed an order of a similar nature at their other branch in Vryheid in December 2020. She’s yet to take collection and installation of her order despite the 8 weeks waiting period she had to endure. Never again!
Greatermans is certainly the worst place I’ve rented out so far. The maintenance is this Afhco building is near non-existent. The building has a burst pipe every six months at least. Today I got woken up at 03:00am by droplets sound from a leakage above my floor. My unit is filled with water. This building is filthy, as you exit the lift you’re greeted by trash that is dumped on the floor as there is a shortage of dustbins. What’s more, their agents are untrustworthy. Prior to moving in here in 2018, I viewed their units and picked one of my choice. I was told it’s available for occupation. However, shortly after making payment for the first month, I was informed by the same agent (Ayanda) that the unit had been taken by another tenant. Like ***?
