I've received numerous calls from the same number, and the lady made me feel so bad, because I always say I don't have time. I've asked her why they are doing a survey, and she insisted, is to gain insight into consumers of South Africa, in order to make life easier for all of us. Really? How? I then asked how long it's going to take, she said 2 - 3 minutes. ALL the questions asked, pertains to: Do you have a vehicle, how old is it, what is the brand, where are you insured, do you have medical aid, and at which company? Do you have a smart phone, and which brand, as well as do you have wifi or fibre, etc. ALL of that is just to probe. And then, on top of it all - they want to know your income! REALLY? I said TWICE NO to ANY marketing calls, or so-called "cheaper" offerings based on my survey answers in future. BEWARE! They also ask in which city/town you're living, and what is your code. If they call, e-mail or text me, I will be really angry. What happened to POPI? Where on earth do they get my number? And, by the way - NO INFO on them available on the internet. None! I feel angry at myself for answering very personal questions.
I've been a loyal customer for longer than 35 years, but how Foschini handled my purchase the last 6 months, was horrifying and ******** in all ways. I never signed an interest bearing account application OR contract (6 months interest free was what I've signed and was promised, if I paid on time, obviously), I've never app**** for "credit life insurance, which only would've paid out R1 800 or R2 000 max (read the fine print on the useless and ********* product) that is just added onto the account as they wish, even when the balance is R0! And then they've charged interest month after month after I've purchased a bed from Dial-a-Bed 6 months ago. ALL my e-mails Foschini went unanswered!!! (I've written 5 in total). I've made numerous payments through the BASH portal on time (before month end), yet they've allocated it late and charged me huge amounts of interest. Why? No e-mails in this regard was EVER answered! One can no longer trust BASH that took over Foschini at all. I've app**** for a six month interest free account 35 years ago, and yet they changed it, without even consulting with me, writing me an e-mail, picking up a phone to tell me things have changed, OR answered any of my 5 e-mails to them! How extremely rude! Yet I've always paid my account on time. This company will not see me again as a consumer. I'm done.
I paid my car off and the financier had to courier me the change of title deed / ownership documentation. Although they logged the parcel on 14 October on the DSV website to be collected, it was only picked up on 20 October 2020 - 6 days later! On the tracking system, it indicates the parcel left the Cape Town offices via Sun Couriers on 21 October - but not to Bloemfontein where I reside - but to Johannesburg! (One has to drive past Bloemfontein to Johannesburg - it just does not make any sense at all). It is now 24 October. No parcel delivered yet. I have NEVER experienced such bad service from any couriers in South Africa to date. I just hope I will have my documentation soon. Very very disappointed.
Not only were their quotation the most favorable, the communication and service was excellent! They arrived on time, and delivered on time, on the dates as agreed. The goods arrived in good order. I can recommend them at any time and will definitely use Michael and his team again.
