We loved the food and our waitress was superb. However, the booking was a shambles and the lady who greeted us - was rude. I initially phone booked - for 4 outside. I e mailed and whatsupped to change the booking to 2 people and inside. I received a thumbs up to my whatsup. when we arrived we were treated with disdain by the lady who was at the door doing the bookings - she argued with us - we showed her the response - no apology - shoved us to the side until another lady helped seat us after waiting a while and feeling quite embarrassed and cross - in addition, my e mail was not responded to at all and when I re prompted the next day, I was given some nonsense response; given that the booking had been for the day prior and the feedback made no sense. The rest of the evening was lovely, but we nearly left based on the rude introduction. This, however, can be rectified with training.
I love the ***** - great vibe; friendly staff; superb movies; convivial atmosphere!
I have had the unfortunate experience of going to this Checkers 2x in the last two months. What a nightmare - what terrible service at the counters for Electricity etc. long queue's - staff milling about and talking and laughing - customer care lady, WITH sash to say this - was asked by me - if she could assist here - and what was the point of having the title - if you don't help when there is a busy place - and she clucked at me and walked away. No one says hi good morning - no thank you - jostling, rude, and no eye contact - it's a horrible experience to go there for these 2 areas. I have not used the food tills so cannot comment on those - but I will never go back, I hope they respond but I think they won't based on the fact that if they select those staff for customer-facing roles - the management must have flaws too. Harmony Clinic Rehabilitation center Hout Bay PLACE DETAILS I am very concerned that the website is in no way a representation of the facility. there is no pool no tennis court the grounds are a building site- and there is overcrowding - the pillows are not clean; the environment is neglected - wiring on the roof looks like a slum in Thailand. The medical staff seems fine - but the administration is also absolutely horrible. It's exceptionally badly run and there is little care for the grounds - how do you have people who are already at their lowest ebb being provided substandard facilities - yet charging the same as any other rehab in CT. I have raised all these points with the owner/manager and they were fairly vague in their responses and said that one is told on arrival that there is no pool or tennis court and the building is halted because the builder ran off with the money - I have no idea how that has any bearing with what you say you have and the fee required from patients and their loved ones. I don't know how places are vetted but it's not on admin; facilities and or general cleanliness. I have no issue with the staff but the facility is overcrowded - and the cupboards and towel racks are falling off - it's really, in my opinion, a substandard facility. Poor show for people who really need the help to treat them in a dishonest way. I don't want to put pictures of the linen and facility on this review - but if I need to I can. We want our loved ones to be given the best possible place to recover. Not the worst place; with some good the******s. No not good enough. And expensive.
I have had a few interactions with ORMS in CT - what a pleasure. Friendly, skilled, helpful, and happy people seem to work there. I find there is a solution given - and help provided with appropriate time spent with customers to understand what they will need or receive from their request. I had specifically good service from Amber! 10 out of 10 for friendly manner; great follow-up and delivery. Will definitely be back!
Awful would never go back. Terrible service. One of the ladies sat on the floor to do my feet. Only one lady introduced herself the other was grumpy and rude. It's in no way a treat. I booked on email and also queried whether I could have both services simultaneously. Mani and Pedi. No response. No welcome and 15 min late to start. Behind me two the******s argued about sharing a plug. I have no idea how this business survives. It was horrible.
What a lovely, friendly, and popular spot. The waiters were charming, attentive and polite. The spot is also dog friendly and they are prompt with water etc for my dog, Leo. Drinks were cold and fresh and requests for ice and lemon were immediately presented. Well done Liquorice and Lime- Cape Town is not known for its excellent service - but you have this right and moreover, you have hired nice humans to boot. We didn't eat but noted some delicious food going to other tables and finished with enthusiasm.
I've given this spot 3 visits but no more It is.always shanbolic noisy staff, everyone on their phones no greeting .... terrible customer service. The staff are loud and the bookings disorganised. No introduction. Always ask.2x what you're coming for?! Despite booking in person and the salon confirming on text and taking your number. Staff always in a rush and the end of the day appointment seemed like they are doing you a favour. Not cheap not cheerful just centrally situated. Use only if desperate. Ps I sent them a mail prior re service and didn't receive a response. Claire
The spa at the mount nelson has superb the******s. I was fortunate enough to enjoy a reflexology with Sam and on my recent visit a manicure with Sam and a reflexology with Khanyi. Superb. The service was sublime the skill set superb. The ladies were polite and attentive and very good at their jobs. The room was lovely- aromatic and luxurious. My only concern with the Spa is that they don't review their e-mails often enough for bookings - 2x I have mailed and waited more than 48 hours for a response. The waiting area also needs a bit more thought. It's too hot and they don't have nice things to eat/drink - not fresh enough and no knife to cut a lemon for a water etc. Just small things but perhaps good to be aware of and perhaps if you are having a manicure/pedicure - you could choose your colour while there and waiting etc. The prices for locals are high for most of the treatments - I do wish they would do a CT special - but I assume they don't need to with the tourists back in CT again. I will certainly go back - and I thought the treatments were as good as anywhere in the world. Well done ladies.
May is the best alternative practicing vet in South Africa- says my dog, Leo. She treats my Yorkie, with regular acupuncture - and he has a new lease on life. Not only is she superb wrt this practice, but she takes an active interest in the animals and has noted many medical issues with Leo, and brought them to my attention. She is very kind and gentle too. And nice to owners. An animal whisperer for sure!
