Never pay for a background check to get a job.
I used the PE branch as their quote was quite competitive and Khuthaza was great at answering my questions via email. I ended up using them since the first moving company I booked with didn't pitch on the day of the move (Friday). That same day I called Biddulphs and asked if they are able to do the move on Monday, I asked what time the truck would be there on Monday and Gavin told me 9am. After doing an immediate payment and sending POP, I got no confirmation via email of the time the truck would be on site. Monday morning I called before 8am to get confirmation of a time and they said they would have to check and will call back within 15/ 20 minutes. I called back after half an hour and I got the same response. They finally called back and told me that the truck would be there between 10 and 11. At 11:07 I call and ask the ETA of the truck and they said they would get back to me. I then get a call from the driver to say that he will only be there after 12. At least they arrived at 12:08. While they were moving and loading the items I had a chat to the staff and they mentioned that they were not informed that they would be moving items from the 2nd floor with no lift (although I did mention this in my quote.) They were apparently 1 staff short that day which also effects the time period of each move. During the move, the 2 guys accidentally knocked the washing machine on the corner of the wall, which chipped the paint off but at least my maintenance guy was there to do touch ups, hence I left it out of the email to Khuthaza as I only expressed that I was disappointed with the lack of communication after paying. I would of appreciated better communication from the operations manager and be given a realistic time of when the truck would of been on site. If there was delay due to unforeseen reasons, it would be nice that the client is informed.

Never pay to get a job. No interview was conducted, they just sent this BS email. If a company was serious about hiring you, they would invest in their staff. I went to Dr Solomon in August 2024. I’m shocked that a Dr from Meta-Clinic recommended him (although other names were on the list but they were either fully booked for the rest of the year or very expensive) as I’m a cash patient - only have a hospital plan. After examining me I was told I need surgery and there were 3 procedures listed on my surgery. I then went to a Dr to get some anxiety meds in preparation for my surgery and I disclosed who was doing my surgery and that Dr said I need to get a 2nd opinion and that Dr Solomon is known to add unnecessary procedures. I then saw the Google reviews and I was horrified! I then cancelled my surgery and managed to get an appointment with a different gynaecologist. I allowed the doctor to do my examination first before I cross referenced what Dr Solomon said to me. The doctor even did an in room biopsy and the results came back that I didn’t need surgery and he confirmed that 2 extra procedures were added that were not necessary. This is ********* and a way to get money from medical aids. This year I went to a Women 4 Life for a check up and anther in room biopsy was done and when I asked if I needed any of these procedures as per what Dr Solomon said, they said no.
WARNING! Stay far away from anything FNB. Such incompetence from both the banking and insurance side. They gave me false information on the secure chat on my banking app and in the branch. The app is also glitchy and not user friendly. They were so *********** with processing a motor claim which my mother tried to claim from when there was an attempted motor vehicle break in. They denied the claim from a photo / video that was submitted by my mother stating it was wear and tear. Those *********** people didn’t even ask my mother to take the car in for an assessment so a damage report could be submitted by a profressional. FNB wastes so much money on marketing where they should be spending that money on staff training and wellness because majority of their staff are *********** (online and in person) and look miserable in the branches. How can you trust a financial service provider that LIES to their customers and above that are ***********!
Bought a Mellerware kettle from Rafi's before they closed down. A month and a half down the line the kettle stopes boiling but the light comes on. I phoned Mellerware (041 364 3249) and got transferred to reception then the call fails and when I called back it goes straight to voicemail. If they do not reply to my email enquiry via their website. I will be taking them to the small claims court as they are in violation of the consumer protection act.
Don’t even bother wasting your time and money on this service provider. Absolutely shockingly poor service. I wish I could give them a negative rating! They seem to be understaffed and the staff that is there are poorly trained or they are under paid or simply just don’t care or all of the above. We were only with them for 1 month but the internet drops frequently which won’t work for us my partner and I work from home and it’s so embarrassing when you are on a virtual meeting call and then the internet just drops. When we call to find a solution to the problem the staff are not helpful at all and we just ended up wasting our call minutes and between half an hour to 45 minutes of our time We then decided to cancel our month to month contract and it is ridiculous that we have to pay a cancellation fee. We only cancelling because of the incompetence. The service provider we chose to replace them with are even more expensive so we not even going with a cheaper service provider.
Warning! If you own a Renault Sandero (2015/2016 model) like mine and you have a faulty hooter stalk. Take it in immediately before the warranty expires. I learnt the hard way unfortunately. My hooter first didn't work properly in Sep 2019 when my head lights were on, now in May 2021 my hooter doesn't work at all! I also don't use my hooter often and I also don't hoot like a hooligan. This is a common problem with the Renault Sandero and the part is very expensive to replace (over R2 500) that is excluding the labour to install it! Let's not even mention the initial R1 007 (1 hour labour) Renault charges to assess the problem! (Yet they clearly know it is a common issue but they pretend not to!) I highly recommend Pop's Auto Shop for giving me excellent service with HONEST advice and an extremely competitive quote! I do not recommend Renault because the service manager didn't acknowledge my question when I asked if it was a common problem with my car.
