We retired and decided to move to Port Elizabeth. We found a house on Property24, 2 months ago listed by Remax Independent, and the listing disappeared from the site. It wasn't sold or under offer, just removed. Two months later on the same day on 31 October 2024 our property got sold in Welkom, the Bluewater bay listing (originally listed for R2 000 000) appeared again. We phoned and offered the full price of R1 750 000. Upon receiving the offer to purchase, we were given a week to come and view the property before the 10th of November2024, although the offer was accepted with this condition. Agent Wolmarans signed the OTP , and we signed and send it back immediately, under the impression the seller was satisfied but never received documentation back from them and the listing was still available ( and still is) and didn’t show under offfer on Property24. See attached OTP So we drove ****m to Port Elizabeth on Wednesday the 6th of November 2024. Left at 04.30 and I have to close my business for the week. Phoned when we arrived in the area and unexpectedly the agent asked to meet us at Spar. This was already strange , because we knew the address and it was already programmed into our GPS. He wanted to avoid us from meeting with the seller. We decided to drive straight to the house. On arrival we were met by the owner of the property. Elderly gentleman, very helpful and accommodating. We waited for the property practioner, and the owner started showing us his property. Alex Wolmaraans, the property practioner arrived and walk through with us. He seemed very nervous. After viewing the property he acted suspiciously and asked us to drive behind his car and meet him at the local beach, so thst the seller couldn't see that we had contact. He then informed us that the owner has put in an offer on his own property and that he wasn't sure if our offer would be accepted and showed us other "options" on Property24 ( which we are not interested in at all) This is the most absurd sentence I have ever heard " He has put in an offer on his own property" Then why advertise it and list it ? Subsequenty they refused us to buy the property. I don’t think that the owner of the property is aware of the true state of affairs, and the agent has misled us on purpose, it could be that he had a beter immediate cash offer so that he could immediately get his commission, because most estate agents is only interested for the benefit of their own pockets and not in the needs of their clients! We phoned the principal Kobie Potgieter, three times on the same day (3 days in a row) to get a proper explanation for this and she never returned our calls with no explanation or even an apology! We have spent R20000 on the 3 day trip for , fuel, food & accommodation and we are still left with no prospective property! This is the most pathetic service that we ever received and we were definitely deceived by Remax Independent. I regret phoning Alex, and the photos of the house's living area and kitchen were stretched on Property24, also misleading us to think the property would suit our needs. ( We were prepared to accept the small living area and extend it) I will NEVER do business with any REMAX and would advise people to avoid them. Dishonesty is what they thrive on!
I have a problem with my banking app's financial analyser. I use the feature to complete my tax every year, to get summarized expenses. Phoned the call centre 5 times on Thursday last week and were promised to get get feedback within 72 hours! Spend my whole weekend doing calculations! Guess what? It never happened!! The second time for two different complaints with no feedback. I had a nightmare printing all the bank statements and doing everything manually over the weekend! Thank you for the pathetic service! Never had problems since 2020, but they are trying to save data on their servers and I could access 7/12 months for the 2024 tax year! If your client base are expanding please expand your data storage accordingly! So now we are restricted to our own banking information because of a lack of data storage expansion by the bank!
Most pathetic short term brokerage I ever had an encouter with! -Firstly the Welkom branches's brokerages is too important to returns any calls for new quotations or any form of new business. They simply don't return your calls. - Secondly if you eventually get someone's attention at PSG to assist you with a new quotation ( PSG Preller Bloemfontein), they ARE NOT even able to respond within a time frame of more than 5 days with something as simple as a quote!! It took me exactly 45 minutes to apply at iMAS from quote to receiving my new plan schedule, this is obviously not within PSG'S capability. - They ignore blatantly ignore client instructions, e.g. broker appointments! Appointing PSG as the new broker on the policies that you are planning to replace? It makes no sense at all and is a waste of time! I would never recommend PSG to anyone! I will highly recommend iMAS as the better alternative!
Absolute ******* service! Have not been able to log into my account for a week now! Software issues !? It is month end and I need to pay bills online and do online purchases. Phoned numerous times to follow up on a reference number and no feedback from Discovery Bank as to why their app can't update and ONLY works on 5G and not WIFI! How is this possible? App works on 5G at times and not on WIFI? How long does it take for an IT department to resolve an app issue? The call centre agents is nothing more than glorified cleaners, answering telephones and is of no use. ( Please start appointing skills staff ) Can't even transfer you to a supervisor ! Not a surprise if one looks at your overall rating of 1/5. You are bleeding clients!
More than 4 months since one of their guests booked in through TRAVELIT and still no payment! Would not recommend to guesthouses or guests! Absolute ******* service! Make promises to pay and it never happens! Do not make any use of their services!
The most unprofessional booking platform in the WORLD! 1) Absoluut USELESS call centers for establishments. - Staff can barely speak, write and comprehend the basic ENGLISH LANGUAGE! I phoned in to cancel a reservation at my property, because of pre-payment issues, after trying to get help from the call centre WITH REGARDS to the problem. A cancelation request was send through to the guest because of INVALID CARD DETAILS PROVIDED for the booking on the 25th of October 2023 and and the sysytem requested the guest to UPDATE the card details within 24 hours! The guest UPDATED the card details once again and it was done with FALSE OR INVALID CARD INFORMATION AGAIN FOR THE SECOND TIME! WHEN I PHONED IN TO REQUEST CANCELATION I WAS TOLD THAT I CAN'T CANCEL THE GUEST'S BOOKING ! 2) Type of guests that book through booking.com is abusive, arrogant and is the lowlife of society! I will Terminate my contract with them!
Pricing on food MISLEADING! Menu is over-complicated on purpose! Meal upgrade from R66 escalating to R125 if you add cheese sauce on your fries and drink size stays the same! No UPSIZE whatsoever! Basically paid double for the meal to have a miserable chilli cheese dip on my fries! NO CHEESE SAUCE! It was miserable that I couldn't eat my fries! We were given the left over sauce not even enough to cover the fries! Obviously staff not interested in making fresh FOOD! No Pepsi ! Only Miranda and 7up! Burgers taste horrible with NO GARNISH! CASHIERS not very bright! You must repeat yourself like 10 times to place an order and the cashier is not clued up with the menu or what they are selling! Manager arrogant! Not interested to solve queries! Even has the ordasity to through down the phone in your ears if phone in to complain! Look at the attached photos! Will never support Burger King again! I can buy 2kg mince and 24 burger buns for R250, that I paid for 2 miserable burgers! Not my first horrible experience with Burger King Goldfields, but definitely the LAST! STREET KIDS blocking your way to enter the shop and the manager and mall security doesn't even bother chasing them away! Security risk to visit!
Ruined Vacation We looked forward to holiday in Umhlanga! "NOUN cabanas (plural noun) a hut, cabin, or shelter at a beach or swimming pool." And it was NOTHING more than JUST THAT and dissapointing. WITH NO SEA VIEWS! And our holiday WAS totally ruined by Umhlanga Cabanas. We travelled 700km in peak traffic and were utterly disappointed by every single thing in this unit and the resort as a whole. First of all the pictures on the web is totally not a true reflection of the overall state of your establishment. - no working wifi or smart tv - old very dirty normal couches ( definitely not sleeper couches) - very cramped up space - unit has a 1970's look and feel Only one washing machine and tumble dryer for 30 units + Dirty hallways, units, baths, staircases and couches. This is unacceptable! Nobody communicated to us from the start when we made the booking that we are not going TO BE allowed to smoke on the balcony! I had to walk down 3 FLOORS FOR EVERY CIGARETTE! Knowing this in advance and we WOULD HAVE BOOKED ELSEWHERE! We were on the 3rd floor and everytime I needed to smoke I had to walk 3 floors down ! There is no close by lift access! I had to walk up 20 times down the stairs to smoke on that evening ! It is definitely not within walking distance from any shops or restaurants! Also a lie like the deceiving photos! WE RATHER checked out, the following morning instead of staying for another 6 nights of hell. Other guests were yelling, playing loud music and slamming doors until 3.00 am and we couldn't sleep, not even for an hour! We booked SOMEWHERE LIVEABLE instead!, and left as early as we could the following morning! It is a horrible situation and you treat guests like its a concentration camp ! The manager Sheldon English was super rude and were not interested in resolving our complaints at all! He said that they never experienced problems with only one tumble dryer and washing machine on their premises and that everyone in the resort could wash their stuff in one day! Well done for ruining my holiday!! There were also NO COVERED PARKING FOR ALL THE GUESTS! SEE PHOTOS! The reason why there is no allocated parking is because they don't have enough! Security guards are not helpful and ********. This place is also not clean and it is actually disgusting. No reply received from any higher management NOT SHELDON ENGLISH'S response as he is part of the problem

Submitted an order for green velvet tapped curtains, order number #129153132 on 22nd of May 2023. Phoned in the very NEXT DAY to notify Takealot that I want to cancel this order as I saw I made a mistake and that the curtains should be eyelet INSTEAD! , and that I have already palced a NEW order # 129186242 ON 23 MAY 2023 ( THE NEXT DAY ) . I was told that I will be credited on the same day as I NEEDED to order Blue & Purple velvet eyelet curtains as well, on the first CALL to TAKEALOT about this. And that my request will be sent to the credit department. Nothing happened and I phoned in AGAIN on the 24th of May 2023, and now all of a sudden they completely changed their story! My money will now only be credited on the 2nd of June 2023!, because apparently the order has already been sent for delivery!, WHICH IS ABSOLUTE *******. THE product HAS a 5-7 days before shipment notification on the APP!, SO it is impossible that it could already have been shipped! It still shows pending on the APP! Nothing has been sent and they could have CANCELLED it right away and refunded me straight away! According to TAKEALOT it varies whom the specific supplier is to cancel an order, and I must not wait, for the order to be shipped from the JHB warehouse to Welkom and only once the item arrives at the Welkom depot I will be refunded! That is how their system works! What a retarded system! To waste my TIME and their own! I will definitely NOT support Takealot again as this absolute *******! Am I going to get interest on the R2000 that I paid for the week?
