Changing the rules of the game
Be sure to sign up with Cool Ideas - not Afrihost or MWEB. These folks are changing how internet service providers offer support. Cool Ideas called me no less than 7 times yesterday, working on fixing an issue that was not their doing. I used to be with Mweb, and I am so happy to be done with them.

Paying for High Speed, Getting Half — and No Real Support
I can only echo everything other reviewers are saying. I'm considering alternative internet solutions as Zoom is supplying me with less than half the speed I pay for, and is slow to respond (that's assuming they will eventually respond). I wonder if anyone has noticed their standard copy-and-paste replies?

Last time I buy from Loot
Delivery was delayed 3 times and when I was told it was finally on the way, I was going to be unable to receive it as I would be out of town. So Andrea "arranged" for delivery to be delayed until the 26th, but despite this, the product was delivered while I was not at home. I have bought from Loot several times, but this was the last time. These days there are many alternatives. They don't reply to emails or when they do, it is to say that they have received the mail and someone will address my concerns shortly. Which never happens.

Best veggies delivered promptly by friendly drivers!
This review is for the online shop. I use them regularly for in-season fresh organic vegetables. The products are always the best quality in generous quantiies. Delivery is free and prompt which is unheard of these days. I sometimes receive a free gift and these gifts are equally generous. I love this service!

Dishonest customer support
I recently purchased a 3.6V Wet and Dry Lithium-ion Dustbuster Cordless Hand Vacuum with Accessories (Model: WDC115WA-QW) through OneDayOnly and received this product missing 3 parts (filter etc.). A representative from B&D called Albert called and told us this model doesn't exist, then contradicted himself by saying this specific handheld model is wet-only, which is why it had no filter. Never mind the fact that the box, the manual, the name of the product on the website, and the name of the product on the order (referring to wet & dry) all show this is a wet & dry machine. In fact, there is no wet-only machine in the B&D catalogue. Won't be ordering anything from Black & Decker again.

Can't wait to switch to another service provider
The problem with Mweb as service provider for fibre is that any problem with your fibre line (which may be caused by one of their partners, Evotel or Vumatel) needs to be routed through Mweb. You cannot contact these entities directly. This means long (and frequent) phone calls where it is not uncommon to be nr 32 in line when you get through. I would recommend a company like Cool Ideas for your internet connectivity needs. I am locked into contracts at the moment but as they expire I will be moving away.

This is a solid company that you can trust
I always use Hello Peter to complain but I think it is just fair that I also use it to recommend good service providers. I've used Loot.co.za on several occasions and always find that the pricing is competitive and the delivery is on time. I received a delivery yesterday and the courier driver called me to make arrangements for drop-off as I was not home. He left it with the neighbour. I always buy from Loot with the greatest peace of mind. Give them a try.

Allowing spammer to use their network
I have been receiving spam from a company called HSA Consulting since late last year and have reported this to 1-Grid on several occasions as 1-Grid allows this spam to be sent from their network. I am then told the HSA is being suspended and a week or two later I get another spam email. And then I report it again. And so on and so on. This company is still a client of 1-Grid and keeps sending unsolicited email to me. To me this means that 1-Grid does not respect the privacy laws of South Africa and protects this spammer. I therefore seriously question the business ethics of 1-Grid and would not recommend them as your hosting partner.
