I am the executor of an estate. I have been trying to reach the Ninety One Unit Trusts department for months now. I cannot reach them on the phone. The head office cannot reach them on the phone. I have sent many emails. I have lodged a complaint with Ninety-One. No answer! I tried to phone a minute ago and the phone was answered and put down immediately. Right now I am so frustrated I intend to file a complaint with the Financial Services Board. How they operate their business I don't know.
Reporting accidents. It takes up so much police time. The online crash reporting idea is great. But it is only an idea. Why do they run a site that does not work? Surely someone is testing these things. It is a great idea, but like so many things run by the government it doesn't work. Just hire someone who has the skill and get the job done.
Paradigm Solutions is a local South African domain and internet services company. I have used them for more than a decade. It is one of the few companies left on the planet that you can call on the phone and they will answer and they answer their emails. They have been around for decades. They host some of my websites and provide me with data storage and domain registrations at great prices. I recommend them, especially if you want to support South African companies.
Mondo Meccano Civil Contractors is a great little company to deal with. They can handle small and large contracts. They have been in business for a very long time. They are fast and reliable and above-all the standard of their work is high. The company’s technical staff headed by Sean Dowds have many years of experience on paving, retaining walls and other civil engineering work. They deliver quality work on time at a reasonable price. Sean is the CEO and is always willing to help and he is a knowledgeable and approachable and a pleasure to deal with.
Ben is very knowledgeable about auto air conditioners. He did a great job on our aircon. You know its a great little company when you see Jags, Mercs and Tauregs etc in the workshop. They were quick and efficient and very reasonably priced. I love the personal service.
We ordered from the Estate. The price is about the same to ship to JHB as it is to buy here but the range is great. Besides you cant always get it locally and it is really great wind at a very low price. They deliver promptly without hassle.
A great company. Very good prices. Great service. I recently bought a Mac Afric product from them. It is half the price of the imported brands and I think it is better quality. Prompt service and delivery times. No problem with returns.
Very happy. I phoned before ordering and they were knowledgeable and had stock. They phone back when I ordered to confirm. I received the goods worth R7000 two days later. No problems. Their price was the best online.
A follow up on my previous review of Pinnacleonline.co.za They failed to supply an essential part of the welder they sold me. When I challenged them they said I must have lost it and they refused to supply. This is a part that costs R160. The answers I got were: I am busy; We only have 4 left and so on. You would think they would want to make a customers happy. But above all, I am only asking for what I paid for. So I offered to BUY ANOTHER ONE (my cost. its only R160).They say: The Sales Consultant says: No! "I am sorry but it really isn't up to me." Well who is it up to sell your products with all their parts? How do online suppliers get away with this sort of thing? Here is a company that will not supply what they promised and won’t fix the problem even at my cost.
I cannot recommend this online supplier. It is such a challenge to buy new expensive equipment unseen online. Many issues would not arise if we could go to the shop and check the items. One expects a level of tolerance from a supplier in these times. Not so in the case of Pinnacle Online. A very disappointing and regrettable experience. I chose them because of price. Mistake number 1. What is the reason for the attitude? Pettiness? They don’t care ? They don’t trust their customers? Frankly, Pinnacle Online’s attitude is an insult. In my case I bought a new welder from Pinnacle Online and spent over R8000 over Christmas. In fact it was a birthday present from all my friends. The welder arrived but the order was wrong. They did correct that problem. Then the welder was faulty, and I had to send it back. I personally packed the welder to send it back together with its parts. I did this in the presence of my maintenance man. Pinnacle said that it had a fault. They fixed and returned it, but without one of the guide rollers. When I queried this, they told me that I must have lost it but they offered to SELL ME ANOTHER guide roller for R160 plus the delivery charge. What they don’t take into account is that Pinnacle has a factory with many employees who handle faulty machines. I have a tiny workshop. I packed the welder with the part myself in the presence of a witness. Pinnacle has many people handling the machines in the workshop. They have parts lying all over the factory. I do not. I cannot use the welder without the part. I have no need for two of the same parts for one welder. What are the odds that I am cheating them for R160? Go figure! After many polite emails including one to Pinnacle Online directors, they finally refused to supply the part unless I purchased it again. Clearly my value as a customer is less than R160. Bear in mind that the welder uses consumables and I would have had a long-term relationship with them. How much does one have to spend to be of any value to them as a customer, assuming you can ever be treated fairly. Very very disappointing.
