I purchased some items from Temu in January.Paid as directed and the goods were sent to me after i paid the courier charges. Then in late in January while browsing through their online catalogue and i liked a pair of sneakers and may have put this in my cart. A few days later an amount of money was debited to my bank account.So funds were taken from my bank account without my approval. The shipping company sent me a mail requiring that i pay courier charges before i receive the goods.I paid these shipping costs and received the sneakers. I reminded myself that I need to be very careful not to do what i did when visiting their online store and choosing goods. This kind of shopping comes with consequences as i found out.Then in February another amount was deducted from my bank account and i clearly remember what had already happened to me and refused to purchase from Temu. I then called my bank and declared a dispute and the payment remains as ''pending'' and I am still waiting for my bank to call me with regard to this dispute. This is a very case of funds being taken from bank accounts without any approval. How can a company like Temu just debit peoples bank account without their approval. The second problem is how do we contact Temu to reverse a transaction that has already taken place. I just cannot get hold of any responsible person at Temu to contest this. The only other recourse i have is to change my bank account which also involve inconveniences.So please beware of buying from Temu . Be cautious when dealing with any online organisations.

On Friday the 28th March 2025 my DSTV service was interrupted.I called them on Saturday and spent about 25 minutes trying to ascertain the reason for the interruption and was told that the account is in arrears and that the outstanding balance was R622.58. My monthly fee for the compact package is R469 and the difference of R153.58 is for reconnection fees. My bank account is being debited every month with R469 on the last day of the month. The consultant told me Saturday that he cannot see any payment from me. He also told me that my payment was not a debit order.What do you call that which is debited to your bank account every monthend??? The bank reference number appearing on my bank statement is 18165363 Someone working there obviously lacks understanding of the accounting systems
Recently i reported on the inability of Mastercare to carry out effective repairs to my appliances and this inspite of having paid over R3450.This was a complete waste of my hard earned money.To make a bad situation worse they have taken R317.50 from my bank account without my authorization.I had sent numerous emails to the various departments well in advance terminating the contract of 1 year that was binding on me.Having done that Mastercare has still debited my account after the contract ended. I have contacted a person by the name of Niren on many occasions to sort out this mess but to no avail.It seems that the only recourse is to seek legal aid
I took out a repair policy and over the 12 month period I paid R3470. They say that they care.Don't believe a word of theirs.They are conning people into thinking that our appliances are in good hands. I had a problem with my Samsung washing machine.They sent out the technicians who had a look and left saying that they will get the part(rotater) and come back and do the repair.Within a short space of time their office called me and said that the part is unavailable and so they struck off the washing machine from the list. Then i wanted my hi-fi repaired.This set was taken to their workshop and a few days later called me stating that the parts were not available and so they returned my hi-fi un repaired. I wanted them to repair my blender and they said that they do not repair blenders. So i have paid all that money and what did i get.Absolutely NOTHING. So beware of MASTERCARE. Rather save your money and buy a new product. I give them a zero rating and i am finished with them
I purchased a settee from Russells Tongaat over a year ago.Within a short space of time it was obvious that the settee had a workmanship defect and it was uplifted by their head office and i then chose another that seemed as a suitable replacement although i had to pay more. It seems that every settee we bought has a problem.The stitching was loosening and this was promptly reported to the Tongaat branch where i made the purchase.This was about 3months ago. To date Russells head office has made no effort to contact us.We would like them to uplift the entire settee and provide us with a credit that we can utilize to purchase a bed.We are still waiting.This is very poor customer service.
I took my wife to Spur Steak Ranches Ballito Junction for lunch and we really enjoyed the experience.The service was great and the staff were friendly.I would recommend this restaurant to anyone.
18 months ago African Bank was the only financial institition that was prepared to give me a loan and this was due mainly to my age.They offered me R120000 but i chose to borrow only R50000. In November my final payment was made and my loan was repaid. After many telephone calls we reached a final settlement figure. Although dealing with call centre consultants can be painful, I am very grateful that African Bank put faith in me and for this I applaud them
I recently purchased a settee from Russells Tongaat. I realised that it did not satisfy me and so I returned it to the store.I dealt with the manageress Tash who was very helpful.As soon as black friday sales commenced I bought another settee at a discounted price. I received good customer service from a local store. Tash was very kind , considerate and helpful
I joined Rapidnet in February 2021 who at that time said that it was fibre only to find out now that it is not fibre.They offered a package R299 per month for a 5mbps speed.Subsequent to that others living in the same complex as myself were offered 5mbps for R199 or 10mbps for R299. I contacted rapidnet headoffice and explained my position hoping for an understanding ear and some sympathy.I was hoping that I would at least receive som sort of re-imbur*****t seeing that Rapidnet was not open and truthful.My maintain that i should have approached them but how would i know what offers are being made at a particular time. I firmly believe that they should have taken the liberty to inform the ill informed as we are not always aware of offers that are made.They bluntly refused to entertain my concerns.I will not recommend their services to any,in fact there are some good offers coming around from pure fibre contractors and many of us are keenly awaiting some progress that are forthcoming.The premises that i live in is Buckingham Flats in Belvedere Tongaat.
