Efficient and friendly service received from the agent assisting me
I felt supported, seen, heard and recognized the entire time
Disappointed/overcharged, no refund received, no further communication after several follow ups
I have leased a property from rentals.com , affiliated with Harcourts. I have vacated the property at the beginning of Oct 2022. On the 15 Nov 2022, I am advised by Simone from rentals.com "the deposit sits in a 32 day call account it will take 32 days to be released and 14 working days to be processed in our account. It was drawn on the day you left". A month later, 15 Dec 2022 I follow up again, I received a voicenote on the 19th Dec 2022 saying, "I have received confirmation that the deposits will be paid out by the end of this week, just give us some time, ill let you know if anything changes". On the 28th Dec, I'm following up again to which the reply is "I understand how ever the deposits have not been paid out yet and I cannot tell you why as I have been told. I will try my best to find out why it hasn't been done. We have not been told when the next payment date is , I cannot tell you something because that will be a lie. The best thing I can do is send you my CEO's email address and you more than welcome to contact him, he is the one who gives us the information. I act on this and send an email to the "Principal Property Practitioner" Mario Grobler on the 30th Dec 2022, no reply, no acknowledgement of my email. 09th Jan 2023 I follow up again to - the response is "good day I am sorry but I honestly have no idea what is going on and I have not been given any more information about it. I asked for Marios number and am told to get it from the harcourts website. Today the 10th of Jan I decide to call Mario, no response, not answer. I message Simone asking if they are stepping away from getting my deposit, she replies "no we are not however I can only give you the information I have. I completely understand it feels like we not doing anything about your deposit however, Lynne myself and my manager are all fighting with the person responsible for the deposits and that would be Mario Grobler and no one else because he does not trust other people, but as soon as I have more information on this I will be able to tell you" I am also told that this is a regular occurrence, I am not the only one that this has happened to. "I can understand your frustration, but that's not gonna bring the deposit any faster" please give me a chance to try to ger some more information on what's happening now. I sent Mario and sms today explaining this entire love letter and sad apologies, he has not responded Now how much more time do they need? Why can they not speak to Mario, something fishy is going on here and I need to know what it is. This is absolutely unacceptable, unprofessional and just plain down dodgy. I want my deposit

Your merchant transacted by1 click (i.e 0.5 seconds) for the reservation secures funds though expect patrons to wait 20 working days for you to rectify failure of service. 3. A rental of a vehicle (in any class) is NOT subject to a credit, criminal or insurance clearance. None of which my wife's details are relevant for the purpose and are general acceptable practice for data access. Hertz/Firefly antiquated internal policies are that which they are. Your excuse disguised as an explanation of insufficient funds is a complete fabrication. TRUST me that there are/were funds enough to buy the car let alone rent it. Its the principle, NOT the meager financial amount - Its the the precedence set and granted by ignorant people which will not fuss. I will deal with Hertz/Firefly civilly for the emotional distress caused to my wife and urge that you resolve this amicably. ZA545689040
