Paid for my licence disc on 20 February today is the 5th of March and still haven’t received my licence yet every time I call to inquire about it I am told that Alison is handling it. No word of update from them it’s always me who has to call everyday and be put on hold for a long time
Worst service ever from a bank,will never recommend this bank to anyone. lost access to my phone and when i called the call center i was made to answer security questions which i did successfully only for the banker to tell me they cant do anything to help i will have to get a phone to do two step verification, even when i tried to explain that in order for me to buy a phone i need to access funds in the savings account and transfer to a transactional account he just kept on saying there is nothing they can do and he will not un-link the old device before hanging up
0/10 customer service level in all they do, from call centre agents to fund managers right through to their complaints department don’t even know why they have a complaints dept because they never care about customers. I had a pension payout due to me from change of employment, first I was told I can’t withdraw all of the money, then I was told I can only withdraw some of the money while the other half will remain vested in the former employers fund. When I asked why must they keep it because I’ve resigned from that employer no answer was given. X amount of money was then deposited into my account but without any paper work to show how much was the total pension and how much will remain vested and if it will be generating interest or not. They just said this is a final and full payment to me and the NWU no longer has liability to me.
So this is what Hollard life does to consumers. You open a policy or any form of cover with them, they start collecting premiums from your bank account monthly, after four successful collections they intentionally stop collecting premiums, and start sending missed premiums SMS's. When you call their call centre they hang up on you. 2023 opened a Hollard life funeral cover they took 4 premiums and stopped when i enquired they said its system error, and the policy is in arrears, i then asked for a list of the months that they say i didnt pay for and they hung up on me. I sent numerous emails which clearly got ignored until i got a letter notifying me that the policy has lapsed, This is after i paid four premiums of R600+. February 2025 i opened a similar policy but for a lesser premium and started paying on 28 february end march i get an sms saying i missed 2 premiums and the policy is due to lapse, i then called their call centre and they confirmed that according to their records my policy is in arrears. So i ask the guy how can i miss two premiums when the policy is only a month old and told me to write a complain before hanging up on me. i called again immediately and a different agent answered, after telling her the reason for my call she also to me to write a complain and hung up. two agents in one clearly indicates the type of business hollard life is all about.
They lapsed my funeral cover within two months of missed premiums, then called me and said they will reinstate it. I went to pay the December premium only for them to lapse it again in January. I tried to refer them to the contract but the consultant diputed the contract. Here's the extract from the policy contract: If this policy ended because of non-payment of premiums, you may ask us to reinstate the policy within four months from the last day of the month for which we received a premium, the effective lapse date. All arrears premiums will be written off. The benefit start date will remain unchanged. If a waiting period was still running before the policy is reinstated No claims that occurred between the period after the effective lapse date and date the policy was reinstated will be paid, unless the claim fell within the 30 day grace period. Standard bank SA takes the cup for poor customer service and their Mobile Banking App is very unreliable. I ask my self everyday why am banking with them.
Worst customer care ever, they will send you from pillar to post before you get your winnings, I made a withdrawal on 12/02/2023 they said it takes 48 hours but to this day I still haven’t received my winnings every time I call they say it has been escalated to withdrawals
Nothing but crooks, for seven months we've been paying but none of the money went to our creditors, their call center people are very rude i regrett do business with debt busters
