I have just lost my partner due to colon cancer and needed to remove the motorcycle off my insurance cover. Lebo was so helpful she removed the motorcycle and even was able to assist with a reduced monthly premium. I appreciate the financial assistance and positive energy in these difficult times. I went to Builders Warehouse in Margate on the 11th of November 2024 which was Black Friday. I wanted to purchase the 5W Solar Stay On Floodlight which was advertised on the pamphlet and was told there was no stock. The staff member checked other stores on the South Coast and there was no stock in any of the other stores either. Why advertise an item for sale and you do not have stock.
I want to say a big thank you to Midas Margate who delivered a new Willard battery to my home for my motor vehicle. The driver even assisted with installing the battery as he could see that I was struggling. He then waited till I started my vehicle to make sure all was in order.
My vehicle was involved in a hit and run and I was in the process of relocating to KZN. OUTsurance made prior arrangements for my vehicle to be repaired in KZN and kept me updated during the process. Once my vehicle arrived at the panelbeater, they reassessed the damage and resubmitted the claim. OUTsurance approved the additional costs with no problem and my vehicle was repaired. Thank you OUTsurance.
I had a chromo deck roof of a Parker Home sprayed with white Eco Insulate. This would reduce the heat within the Parker Home on those hot sunny days and also would keep the warmth within during the cold winter months. On inspection in December, I noticed black ball like markings on the roof surface. I tried contacting the agent with great difficulty, who applied the rubber coating. Eventually he contacted me in January and advised me he was no longer an agent for Eco Rubber. I then contact the branch in Port Elizabeth and the lady advised me to contact Leo Penny the closest agent who is based in Plettenburg Bay. When I contacted him, he told me to take photos and a video and send it to him via WhatsApp which I did with great difficulty as I had to climb onto the roof at my age. He took over a week to reply after I contacted him again and he advised me that the roof must be in the shade. I told him that the roof is in full sun and I requested what can be done to remove the marks. It is over a week once again and I still have not received a response from him.
Star Panel beaters collected my Mercedes 350 SLC from my premises on the 27th June 2021 to repair the bonnet which was slightly damaged from a fire in the engine compartment. They contacted me a week later to collect my vehicle and then rang me the following morning to say I must not drive thru to collect my vehicle as there is a problem with the paintwork. When I did collect it on the the 15th July 2021 they advised me that they also repaired some scratches because of the inconvenience. I paid for the repairs and took position of my vehicle. Beginning of December 2021 I rang Star Panel beaters and advised them that the paintwork on the bonnet is bubbling and I was told by the receptionist they were fully booked till the 15th December 2021 which is when they will be closing for the Festive Season holidays. They confirmed they would notify me via email for a booking in the new year which they forgot. I had to call them to remind them. I drove my vehicle thru on the 10th January 2022 and today is the 27th January 2022 and I still have not had my vehicle returned to me after many cellphone calls, being told by the receptionist they don't want to lie to me but they will first check in the workshop to see how far they are with the bonnet. I even received an email on the 25th January confirming I can collect my vehicle on the 26th January or if sooner they would contact me. I drove through to Star Panel beaters today the 27th January 2022 to discover they are still busy prepping the bonnet. The tradesman busy with the repairs informed me that the bonnet is aluminum and whoever worked on it previously had so much body putty and that is why there is this issue. I advised him that the bonnet was repaired previously by them not once but twice and this is the third time. The tradesman stood looking at me in shock. Star Panel beaters were aware that the bonnet was aluminum because I even advised them initially and they previously failed to line the bonnet up with the left fender. As a woman I have been messed around by so many local companies regarding lies and bad workmanship. Does pride and honesty exist?
I had a data contract, Sim card only, for my rooter through MTN. I was paying R199 per month and apparently my contract ended the 17th of September. I received and invoice from MTN on the 18th November via email informing me that my monthly premium had increased from R199 to R320 per month because my contract had ended. I sent an email to customer services asking why no representative had contacted me and advised me my contract had ended or request me to upgrade. The MTN Sim data runs my ADT alarm system and cameras which is for my safety. I am retired and I also have limited funds which I advised MTN customer services via email but to date no one has contacted me telephonically. I never experienced this with my Telkom service provider. My mobile contract ended and they even reduced my monthly fees substantially for my data and calls.
I belong to SAARP short term insurance for retired persons which forms part of the Auto and General Group. I have been insured with Auto and General for more than twenty years. I received an annual increase recently and contacted them requesting that I was unable to afford the increase as my partner had been dismissed from his employment. Auto and General kept my monthly premium the same and also was able to save us the monthly expense for insuring our second vehicle which was insured with another insurance company. We are all struggling financially thru this epidemic and I am grateful that they were able to assist me.
I made an EFT payment of R100 on the 7th July and after a week I was advised that I had to register which I did immediately. Then my deposit still did not reflect in the Supabets account. I called them once again and I was told I must take a selfie with my ID and send it via email which I did. Then they verified my details and confirmed that I was registered on the system. To date my deposit still does not reflect in my Supabets account. Absolutely shocking service. I cannot imagine how long it would take if you need to make a withdrawal from your Supabets account.
