Live in Durban, bought a load shedding kit: Sofar 6Kw hybrid inverter with Dyness B3 3.6kw battery including installation, March 2021, on installation the installer did not know anything about the inverter, I asked Solaradvice to send a different inverter, but the installer chose to stick with the Sofar inverter, on installation I was able to run induction stove, Fridge and chest freezer, tv and all lighting (but not all at the same time) it ran okay for 6 months then loadshedding stopped because of the Durban floods, but since loadshedding resumed the system is only running Tv and lights, and also trips the inverter as soon as its loadshedding time, whenever any of the other appliances is used, so now when I am at home, I have to switch the breaker off for the refrigeration appliances to prevent continuous inverter from tripping, when I am not at home I have to switch the battery off and bypass the inverter to prevent possible major catastrophe, the installer is of no help and a Solar advice agent has informed me that they don't service Durban anymore and I have seek assistance from "Power trip electrical and Security superstore shelly beach", My wife suggested I disconnect everything and s**** everything before I burn my house as no help seems to be forthcoming from my installer or this company, I'm getting frustrated with this poor after sales service. Total system cost me R54.596, including istallation cost of R13.800 complete waste of money.
Installed a Sofar Hyd 6000 Es, with 3.6kw dyness battery in 2021, mainly for loadshedding, the installer (sent by solaradvice) was clueless on how to properly setup the inverter, all my appliances worked fine during the first round of loadshedding, but after a break of six months, I have to switch off all my appliances and can now only use my basic lights and tv, the inverter continuously trips when my fridge and freezer is not switched off, solaradvice has zero customer care, they suggested I get help elsewhere and the installer refused to check my system even when I offered to pay his travel expenses, now just stuck with the load shedding kit that I spent R40000 and no help seems to be forthcoming.
Telkom recently had a special on Free me contract for a Samsung A32 contract online, I went online and signed up for the contract, that was on 27 November 2021 at 08:00, within an hour an agent from Telkom telephoned me to say that my application was successful and should expect delivery of my phone within 7 days, after 5 days I tried calling Telkom mobile about my new phone and contract and they have told me that no such offering exists and I have never made such an application, what about Telkom disclaimer when you sign up for or a new contract or when they phone you, is a telephonic contract not valid anymore, or does it only suite them.
Don't buy Lenovo products because the warranty is meaningless. Why? Because the warranty is handled by Partserve, Lenovo agent suggest that I take it to them to upgrade the Ram, Partserve response was that there was nothing wrong with the Ram, but the hard drive needs to be upgraded, if I upgrade the hard drive then what, why have such a good looking PC with such inferior parts, its a intel Core i7, ideapad s145, I think a pentium 1 works faster.
I was very impressed with the attitude of solar advice when it came to respond to the shortfall of my load-shedding installation, correspondence from Neil, Tammy and the recommended installer Rob Watson was very impressive.
Product arrived on time, but the installer was clueless on the type of inverter and battery installation, did an installation on 3 March 2021 but could not get the Sofar inverter and Dyness battery to work together, tried calling him, WhatsApping him to complete the installation but no response, solar advice was supposed to give me an update, still waiting, 3 days later.
Made online food purchase on 5/1/2021 to be delivered on 7/2/2021, delivery was made on the 8/1/2021, no apologies were made and 2 items were missing on the list, tried phoning the 0860 number which used R100 of my airtime while they played telemarketing messages instead of connecting me to an agent. Sent an email describing the non-comformance still waiting for a response, which would be unlikely as they don't respond.
I settled my account on 19 December 2019 and sent a copy of statement to accounts department, On 25 December 2019 my account was charged for R333.00, I sent a request requesting a refund and termination of my account, this was the reply, Good day Harold, Trust this email finds you well. Once allocation is complete, refund will be proceed. Kind regards Sandiswa Still waiting for refund and proof of account termination. I guess things move very slow at fever tree finance.
