I retired from state 10 years ago. Submitted all document before leaving. Its been 10 years of resubmission and incompetence. Still not paid out. Fortunately i am still working in private sector.
In my reason experience with filing a complaint on the Hellopeter website. I realised that the process is in essence not fair. A business can request that review is taken down by quickly and falsely claiming that the review is false. Hellopeter than requests proof from the consumer . If the business still claims that it is false then Hellopeter requests the consumer to provide an affadavit. I suspect that the business is not requested to meet the same standard , and provide an affadavit. This will result in an underrepresentation of complaints against unscrupulous businesses and should be evident on the website. The reasoning is that most consumers do not have the time to do affadavits, and will not pursue the complaint.
We dealt with Kingsmead Toyota regarding a loud humming noise coming from the tyres. This was reported during various services but we were constantly told that the problem was with the tyres and not the shocks We had changed tyres based on their advice and still the problem continued. This was reported to Toyota again and again they claim that it's the tyres and not the shocks. We then had the shocks tested at HiQ and the test showed that the shocks needed replacing. Toyota claim that they don't replace shocks unless they are leaking oil. Toyota still refused to replace the shocks despite the damage it was causing. These faulty shocks were causing a problem very early after purcahse of the vehicle.

Took car to HiQ. Tested shocks. Rear shocks need replacing. These shocks causing high spots on tyres . Kingsmead Toyota claim they only replace shocks if shocks are leaking.
Duncan and team performed a new electrical installation at my house. This included the upgrade of the system to a 3 phase installation. Thank you for the excellent service and prompt resolution of any issues.
Anil and his team at Xpanda here in Durban have given us great service. The gates have worked well with no significant issues.. Any installation issues were sorted out, timeously. I have no issue in recommending this company.
Good company with good service . Kept to timelines . At over 24 months , no significant defects : one lock failed and needed replacement , one loose window Handle. Good products and installation.
My dealings with Solar Beam Solar Geysers have been an example of good service . I had a 300 l litre unit installed , which started leaking shortly after covid lockdown started in South Africa . They arranged for a temporary unit to be placed until a new 300 litre tank could be installed . This has been completed in the last week . Thank you to SHEREEN for your service. I recommend solar beam geysers.
I purchased a significant portion of my light bulbs and light fittings from northside electrical (North Coast Road , Durban) . Other fittings and light bulbs were also purchased from other suppliers. After the first year we noted that Synerji E27 LED light Bulbs 9W3000k started failing on a regular basis. We contacted Northside Electrical in 2020 , replacement light bulbs were provided. Failures continued to occur. At the two year mark , a further 50% of these unit failed. I am not sure if the replacements had failed or the original units. I then requested that Northside investigate this even though the warranty was over to find out the reason for failure. I contacted the representative for Synergi (Derrick) who indicated that bulbs were too old and could not / should not have been supplied by northside electrical as this been a fast moving item. Apparently he had communicated with Brin Paxton at Northside Electrical. I am not looking for replacement just answers. I have the invoices etc. Meanwhile i have replaced the failures with osram and eurolux units for comparison. I have also noted no failures in other light bulbs fitted at the same time. Avoid this brand and supplier
I received a proforma invoice for VAT and customs duties. The proforma invoice was made out correctly. When the tax invoice was issued it was made out incorrectly to the incorrect entity. I have sent multiple emails to get it corrected and called the call centre as well with no success.
