I ALWAYS ONLY USED THAT DEALERSHIP FOR ALL MY 3 CARS FOR SERVICES. BUT WHEN YOU DISMISSED THE BEST PROPER TECHNICIANS THINGS WHEN DOWNWARD FAST. THE LAST TIME I BOOKED IN FOR A SERVICE AND I WAS PHONED TO TELL ME JUST A GENERAL SERVICE WOULD BE SOME HORRIFIC AMOUNT DUE TO PARTS NEEDED. I GOT THE OLD TECHNICIAN TO CHECK AND LOW AND BEHOLD NOTHING WAS WRONG THAT HE COULD FIND AT ALL. THAT IS WHY THE PERSON GOT DISMISSED THEY COULD NOT SIT AND BE TOLD TO ADD UP PARTS THAT DID NOT NEED TO BE REPLACED !! YOU WILL NEVER SEE ME AGAIN AND STOP MESSAGING ME ABOUT COMING FOR A SERVICE.

I purchased a brand new Toyota vehicle on the 25th of February 2023, the following reservations regarding the vehicle is highly disappointed considering this is a brand new car. > The car was not washed properly and had streaks of residue of the previous drivers drink on the side holder of the door. >The drivers door panel is scratched and scuffed. >The steering wheel has a chip behind it that is easily felt. >There is a deep scratch by the hand brake >There is a whistling sound on front tyres > I have also noticed that the drivers front tyre went down compared to others. Also, upon confirming the quotation sent to me Bidtrack amount was zero rands, however my tax invoice has an amount of 7000+ , the sales consultant nor did the finance representative did not mention to me , yet their manager claims that all was mentioned , I was told to sign on the electronic pad signature after signature with everything else clear besides this Speaking to the manager I felt absolutely abused by the manner in which Jessica Singh had spoken to me, belittling every complaint I had and sweeping it under the carpet as if my complaint was not valid. She then went on to boast on her 24 years of selling cars claiming that “these things” happen and I must stop being immature about it. Thereafter proceeding to vent my concerns she snaps again and asks “are you done now”, completely appalled by this behaviour that falls nothing short of pathetic from such a massive dealership like Bidvest Mcarthy. I then asked if I could speak to someone higher up as Jessica kept belittling my words and her response was “You can go ahead and speak to the dealer principal and the matter will still fall on my desk”. If this is the attitude of this dealership, I request assistance with a higher authority to attend to this abuse I received from Jessica and my necessary complaints regarding the new car purchase. I really expected better post sales service considering how welcoming the pre sales service was.

Last year i boaght a brand knew toyota starlet,within a month or 2 i noticed something strange which heppened very seldom,than hubby drove the car and told me it shouln't be doing this as he is a mechanic he knows a lot about car,took the car bak was test driven and given back to me as it was fine,i ddnt tel hubby,as he was out of town that time, just took the car and carried on,but seldom the problem was still there,i than took it back 2 weeks back,test driven again ahhaaa now they see that the problem might be the clutch andv i was told that it might be my fault,MY QUESTION WAS THIS STARLET IS MY 5th CAR HOW CAN I DAMAGE THE CLUTCH ON MY BRAND NEW CAR NOW WHEN I DID NOT DAMAGE A CLUTCH ON ALL THESE OTHER CARS I DROVE PREVIOUSLY,EVEN AS A LEARNER DRIVER,NEVER EVER HAD I DAMAMAGED MY CLUTCH .I was told to i needed to book the car so they can strip it and check whose fault as clutch is not covered under warranty ,that monday i was stressed as thinking where will i get the money as this car started doing this within about a month brand new,hubby had to call kingsmead and told them that the car was like that within about a month and when i broaght it back they told me it was fine,now he demanded them to have a look at the car,i was told to bring the car last week monday,the car was stripped,found a fault in the clutch,it was ordered,till today i dont have any means of transport to work and from work and i work night duty,if hubby is not around i have to take a taxi in a very dangerous spot to work,and people get mugged there daily,when i sent my car they promised that about friday it will be ready but now im finishing a 2nd week without any means of transport ,now im being told that maybe on the 29 th they will get a new clutch,the worse part is that there is a death in the family i need the car to help prepare for the funeral,hubby contacted toyota to atleast give me a car that i can use in the meantime,they said they dont have,but toyota has DEMOS on the floor that i can use in this situation,but they point blank refused,im very fustrated,this is very very fustrating,HOW AM I SUPPOSED TO MOVE AROUND TO HELP PREPARE FOR THE FUNERAL,and initially this fault was not even mine but im the one who is fustrated about transport.I WILL NEVER EVER BUY A TOYOTA OR EVEN REFER SOMEONE TO BUY A TOYOTA NEVER AGAIN

poor service from Kingsmead Toyota Reported high spots on tyres at second service was told shocks are good. Reported high spots again to Toyota Again claims shocks are good, must replace tyres . Took car to HiQ. Tested shocks. Rear shocks need replacing. These shocks causing high spots on tyres . Kingsmead Toyota claim they only replace shocks if shocks are leaking.

I bought a Toyota Auris from Toyota Kingsmead Durban in 2016. It was a demo model so I presumed that it would be reliable. Little did I know that it was involved in an accident as I have been spending money repairing the compressor, radiator, aircon... the list goes on. The technicians all say that it's obvious that it was involved in an accident. I'm at the point where I have to sell it because its costing me too much to repair. Really disappointed with Toyota Kingsmead because they were not open and honest and I paid an exorbitant amount, thinking that it was worth it.

I bought a Toyota Auris from Toyota Kingsmead Durban in 2016. It was a demo model so I presumed that it would be reliable. They sell vehicle with factory warrantys but the parts are not original for the vehicle. I had to return the vehicle a day after purchasing for the repairs to be done in the whole process my battery was swapped which made my vehicle no longer under warranty and the maintenance plan which I had purchased for 15k did not cover because the battery was not original, the dealers are holding me responsible for their negligence so this resulted me in breaking down ,my time ,2k cash 2 days off from work .The service manager Sumen Kistan ,was extremely rude and unhelpful who also made me wait 2 hours and 30 minutes just to receive the worst service in my life. Im putting this out to the public not to trust this dealership

I took my car in for a service at Toyota and made number 2 on the que because I arrived quiet early. to my surprise at 9:45 a.m. my car was not even attended to, yet other cars were being done and people were already arriving to fetch. also when I found out that my car was going to be a while I requested to be taken home and went to fetch something from the car - to my surprise when I got back the car was gone leaving me behind to wait for a car that was going to take about 2 hours to be done. what ludicrous and the consultants bad attitude did not help at all. never will I deal with that Toyota ever again.
