One star is too much for this courier. They are extremely unreliable. The delivery address is a business but they always arrive after hours and then report they were unable to deliver. It is then a battle to get your parcel as there is no depot in my town to call and arrange to collect. The driver is very arrogant and wants to take a photo of me or my wife with the parcel. This is unacceptable as anything can be done with the photo without our consent. I deal with many couriers and they are the only one that want a photo of a person. The last delivery when I refused to have my photo taken, the delivery driver tried to grab my parcel out of my hands. this nearly ended in a physical confrontation. I signed and dated the parcel and told him to take a photo of that. Which other companies do. He then said that he would refuse to deliver any future parcels. I have requested the sender to stop using this company but I see I have more parcels on the way with GFS express. Unfortunately the only email address I could find looks like their legal department in the UK and one that states general support.
Worst courier service in SA. My parcel arrived at the depot on 26 September 2025. It has to date (6 October 2025) not been delivered. It has now been 9 days with no delivery and no call to let me know what is going on. this happens every time a package is sent to me through Skynet. It is not acceptable. No agents are available on the online chat box either. Does this still exist? I have even tried to call other depots in other towns. Nothing

Great atmosphere, great food and we were very well hosted
We had a great experience at this establishment and the hosts were friendly and helpful. We ate there on the 30th & 31st Dec 2023. The food is outstanding and compliments to the waitresses that served us.
We had lunch at this establishment on 24/12/23. Our waitress, Celia, was an excellent host and her people skills are outstanding. She is an asset to this restaurant.
This is an update on my review posted 2 Nov. I have been waiting since 20th Oct for a refund. After my review they contacted me to get my info in order to refund me. After I sent them what they needed and after numerous mails back and forth, I have not received any response from my last 2 mails and still no refund. Use Makro online at your own risk. Research all reviews online before making a purchase.
Please do not use Makro online. Disgusting service and work ethic. I ordered an item and after 5 days I had to query what was going on. 2 days later they came back to me to say they cannot get the item and they would refund me. that was the 20th October. I have since sent numerous mails to ask when will I get my refund. today 2 November I finally got through on the landline. I was informed that they tried to refund the money to my credit card but it did not go through (bull****). now they have put a query to finance and I must wait another 14days. The amount I must be refunded is R9500. Now I must wait for this money before I can look for this item somewhere else. Only use Makro if you are looking for disappointment, anger and stress.
I have been going to the branches at Preller Plein and Northridge mall in Bloemfontein for a number of years. I have always received excellent and friendly service from both branches. They deserve a good review and a thank you.
I have recently, on 2 occasions, ordered items from Takealot that I have had to return. The first item was damaged and the second order the delivery was incomplete. After returning the items I was told that there is no more stock and they credited me the purchase price but not the delivery cost. With in a week they where advertising the same item but at a higher price. It seam like this is the norm with Takealot to just say that the item is out of stock so that the save on having to cover the return delivery cost. This practice in my view is absolutely criminal but I, as an individual small guy do not have the means to take them on so I post my experience here to warn all the other small guys in the world to be very weary of the quality of items purchased from Takealot and especially there after sales service. PS: they don't even deserve the 1 star rating.
