Signed up for xl system 10 weeks ago and they lost all my stuff, signed up again with a different email address cos they couldn't sort out the mess so they asked me to start again. Its been 2 months, not a word. Sent numerous emails and just get generic responses. False advertising, 6 to 8 weeks is not true. They haven't even done the credit checks or anything although they have all my bank details and signatures. Very unnerving to have given all this to a company that you can't even get hold of.
worst service. took phone in and they promised 3 days as I was going overseas, 12 days later no phone, they keep saying its on its way, it fixed and will be delivered in the afternoon. When I go they say its not there, when I phone they are still busy 12 days later!! No one phones you back, you go round in circles. Totally unprofessional, avod at all costs, total amateurs
Bought 2 singles bed sets to make a king and mattress was defective, completely collapsed after 2 weeks. Store said will not refund so bought another 2 bed sets in the meantime elsewhere while I sort the issue out with dialabed. Eventually they said we can return them as they are defective and have replacement. I already have 2 new beds so want a refund as per the terms and conditions on the website which reads... If the goods purchased are defective; are not of good quality; cannot be used and is not durable for a reasonable period of time; and/or not in good working order; or is not compliant with any applicable standards set under the Standards Act, 1993 (Act No. 29 or 1993), or any other public regulation; then the goods may be returned to Dial-a-Bed within six months. In the above event Dial-a-Bed will: repair or replace the failed, unsafe or defective goods; or refund you the price paid for the goods.
Went to see if I could replace a gift card I lost and they signed me up for a store card. I said when they were taking my details this is not a store card I lost it is a gift card and they said yes its fine. Now I see they DID sign me up without my consent. Have phoned and gone into the store on more than once occasion and no one knows what to do. Meanwhile I am getting threatening messages everyday from lawyers... FINAL WARNING! Terrible service in this branch in cape town cbd. Hired a 150mm orbital sander which I have used many times before and when I started sanding it was fine for 2 mins, then whenever I put any pressure on it it stopped. Tried it several times but didnt work so my guy took it back as they wouldn't collect it, they turned it on an said it works so no refund but didn't try sand anything with it. I phoned them and told them as soon as someone else hires it they will jahve same problem, still refused to refund even though it didnt work and didnt use it. Said someone would call me but as usual with companies like this no one called me back. Not worth persuing over R150 but why lose a regular customer over that when coastal hire os over the road.
Bought 2 x single bed sets (Slumber King Limited Edition) to push together to make a king for my guesthouse and after a week one of the mattresses is completely collapsed and flat, the other is fine. Spoke to Dial a Bed Northgate and they quickly say oh no your not meant to use it for a guesthouse?! Nowhere did it say this or anyone mention it when buying it - but my point is why would a mattress work for someone sleeping on it every single night but heaven forbid someone sleep on it two three times a week and it collapses (and no it wasn't heavy people who collapsed it), its just a faulty mattress which I would like replaced. We always buy our beds from Dial a Bed but unless this is resolved then no more.
Stay away from this company trading as PJ Plumbing, PJ Electrical and Drainbusters. From the start there were different people on the job each time they came and I had to explain all over again and again what needed doing, incompetent workmen who didn't know the job damaging parts, scratching parts etc. I had 6 bathrooms and it took over a year for them to complete, weeks at a time with no one pitching, waiting and not turning up etc. The usual cowboy builder story with missed appointments, no one phoning back. They cant keep track of what they have done or are meant to do and kept asking me, then saying they didn’t think it was included and would have to check their quote, they don’t have a clue what they are doing. They lost parts and wanted to charge me for them, they broke parts and wanted me to pay for replacements. I had to show them several times how to do the job as they didn’t know basic stuff. All in all a very bad experience and at the end of it all after R80k labour they wouldn't even issue a certificate of compliance for their work. That says it all really as I doubt any of them have any plumbing qualifications and thus cannot offer a certificate at the end of the job. Stay clear of these guys even if they offer you a competitive price.
Scam website. I ordered a phone in April, it's now mid June. It said 10 to 20 working days so I waited but then when it didn't arrive I emailed them and got a reply straight away with copy and paste that they are not responsible for delays. Now they don't respond to emails and if you ph9ne there is no one there just a dummy phone number that tells you there are 6 people ahead if you. I was silly and didn't research before paying as I read now others also wrote about the 6 callers ahead of you and no response. This is a fake company that promises you too good to be true cheap offers from China but they never arrive and are not contactable. I will have to take it up with Visa now which is a mission. DO NOT USE THIS SCAM SITE.
How can @home even stay in business when they make it so hard to buy products from them. I want to buy 2 small side tables for R999 (30cm x 50cm), they only have one in store and they say they cant order an extra one for me to collect in store, the only way I can get one is if I drive all the way to their warehouse in Parrow or get this one unit delivered. Delivery fee is R450 to R580 for a R999 item?! If I want to wait for more stock to be delivered to the store they cant tell me when that will be and they cant request one???!!! This is beyond me that they actually try to make it hard to buy products. I buy for a business and hotel and have spent a lot of money in the past on my decorators card but will now purchase elsewhere and make sure others do to. Customer service like this is how @home will go bust just like Edgars and the others. Impossible to survive when they dont help customers trying to give them their hard earned cash.
Don't honor extended warranties! So we are 6 months down the line since last hello peter, been promised refund, sent bank details in December still nothing?!!! I should be charging you per hour of my time spent following up on this all for R3k. Will never be buying from you guys again as this is how you treat customers, no care at all. 12 months trying to sort this out!
