I would like to voice my frustration about the WhatsApp Circus that led me around in circles trying to get authorisation for a dental procedure. All I wanted to do was to TALK to someone. Eventually I found a number to call and got to a Human to speak to. By that time I was beyond frustration, so I was not exactly friendly towards her. Tumelo Kala was very patient with me, and after half an hour on the phone with her she calmed me down, got he necessary information from me and resolved my problem. She emailed me the necessary information for the procedure, so everything is on track. Please thank Tumelo Kala for her exceptional work. She is a real STAR. Without out her, this experience would have created a negative star rating.
I am the “Owner” of Unit 504 at Beacon Island Hotel through Quality Vacation Club (QVC) for the last week in April every year. Leasure Portfolio Association (LPA) has something to do with the bookings of QVC. They also have Gomelo, with whom you can save your week, if you are unable to use it. Beacon Island is in the Southern Sun Group’ In 2023 I was not able to utilise me week, so I offered it to Gomelo and asked them to let me know if the found an occupant. As they did not get back to me, I offered the Unit to a friend of mine and gave him all the necessary documentation and also informed Beacon Island that my friend would be occupying the Unit. When my friends arrived, there was panic at reception. The Unit had been rented out to someone else and they hurriedly readied a “Stock Room” for them. I contacted Beacon Island and QVC to enquire how they could allocate my unit to another family without my knowledge. Beacon Island blamed Gomelo. Gomelo had not been informed and still had my Unit on their books. I contacted Southern Sun, and LPA and everyone passed the buck. At the end of the day Beacon Island made money out of my Unit but would not admit it. Eventually I gave up on the investigation because it was just a big cover up. Guess what! I personally checked in on Saturday 20 April 2024 to find out that my Unit was AGAIN allocated to someone else. Between all the parties I would like an explanation of how this is possible.
Last year I turned 70, so I decide to take over the TV licence from my wife, as I was under the impression that I would get a discounted rate. I filled in my details, but discovered that the benefit only kicks in at 71, so, because my wife's licence was still valid, I paid another year on her name. I have subsequently been getting letters of demand from lawyers for outstanding licence fees. I sent the proof of my wife's licence and enquired why a single household needs two licences. My wife still get weekly SMS demands to pay the outstanding licence fee. How can I stop this harassment.

I wish to make Southern Sun Resorts aware of a situation which I consider totally *********. I have a permanent unit, Unit 504, at Beacon Island Hotel, purchased from Leisure Portfolio Association (LPA). This year I was not able to occupy the unit, so I offered it to a friend of mine, who could only utilise part of the week. I gave my friend all the reservation information and emailed his details to Beacon Island Hotel. My friend did not inform me about any issues at reception, because it was a gift to him. It was only when I spoke to him about two weeks later about the view from the room, that he mentioned the change of Unit to me. When he checked in to Unit 504 at Beacon Island, he was told that the Unit was occupied. As he had all the relevant documentation with him, Reception seemed perturbed and told him that they were preparing the room for him. He had to wait for more than 30 minutes in reception before he was allocated Unit 124, which I subsequently found out, is a stock Unit. I contacted LPA and spoke to Matt. I asked Matt how it was possible for LPA to re-allocate my Unit to someone else. Matt assured me that he would follow up on the matter. Matt contacted Beacon Island and Reception told him that my friends had requested a family unit, so Reception moved my friends to a larger unit. I told Matt that it was untrue, because my friends are a retired couple with no children. Matt suggested that I contact Beacon Island directly, as Unit allocation has nothing to do with LPA. Beacon Island Reception told me that my guests had requested a unit with a pool view. Another untruth. They had never been to Beacon Island and had no idea of the different views from the rooms. I contacted Beacon Island Management, spoke to Andrew who promised to follow up and get back to me. When I had no feedback, I called Beacon Island again two days later and spoke to Ronel. Ronel knew nothing about the allocation. Still no feedback, so I called again 2 days later and spoke to Andrew again. Andrew repeated the story that my friends had requested a Unit with a pool view. It is very clear that someone is covering up mismanagement. Unit 504 was occupied by a couple with two children. It seems that they must have asked for a Unit for a family. What were they charged for occupying my Unit without my permission? I would like full compensation from Beacon Island for the letting of MY unit to other persons, without my permission and without even informing me of their action. On Friday 30 June I was phoned by Andrew. He informed me that his Head Office had been made aware of the situation. He said that I would be contacted by them on Friday afternoon or at the latest on Monday 3 July. I have still not had any communication, so need to ask Hello Peter for help.

I have been trying for 3 weeks to contact my Private Banker. I sent messages, left voicemail. Still no attempt to contact me. I accepted he may be on leave, so I waited and tried again. Waste of my time. I tried the blog, but the very helpful lady said that she was unable to give financial advice. She gave me the details of my Private banker. I told her that I was unable to contact him. I am very sorry to revert to Hello Peter, but at least I know that I will now be contacted.
