Delay with bus 922. Bus 915 arrived (with a non flushing toilet) instead and broke down in Welkom. Waited for another bus for almost 2 hours. Big Sky arrived. Not Intercape or even Translux but Big sky. Why Intercape? Why? How could you downgrade me like that? Leg room is cramped, toilet stank, noisy passengers and drivers, drivers took unnecessarily long breaks. Not pit stops, but breaks where people got dropped off and then the smokers got off as well and had a smoke party. At King Williams Town we had to leave Big Sky and wait for another bus to take us to PE after driving a total different route than usual. I have no words. I specifically book Intercape for all my trips because of the leg space, consistency, clean busses and punctuality. And I thought the language of communication is English. Drivers relayed information in their native tongue not worried about us who do not understand their language. I am very unhappy with this trip because my customer needs were not met. Dear management, please note: Departed from Pretoria station on Friday 6 March 16h30. Arrived in PE Sat 7 March at 17h00. Probably would have arrived later by bus. My husband drove through to Grahamstown and picked me up. Sparing me the daunting last leg to PE. In total I onboarded and offboarded 3 busses in one trip. Intercape, what are you doing? You are going down the same route as Translux and that is a shame.
The not so nice individuals I had to communicate with via email and phone has no client service, lack empathy and has no emotional intelligence. Seeing that their policy states that only the policy holder can communicate with them, I will let my 76 year old half deaf with poor eyesight mom call them so that she can cancel her policy.
How is this even possible that you call for an ambulance and just get no response. Even the police tried, to no avail. It is just heartbreaking. Does no-one care about human life anymore. Do you really go to work and decide (because it is a choice) not to perform such a vital part of community service? Do you really feel entitled to a salary after doing nothing? Is there really no empathy from you who laid down an oath to help and preserve life. There are just no words to express the anger, frustration and hurt when you cannot get assistance in a life-or-death situation. By God's Grace my family member is still alive after being taken to the hospital by car. Only by God's Grace.
A few family members and I went on a weeklong vacation in Jeffreys Bay. The people are nice, beaches beautiful, but the state of the roads is in a shocking state. Every single road we drove around in, was full of potholes. It was just disappointing that such a beautiful place (with such friendly people) had roads that looks like it has not been fixed for years. It was a total set off and we decided not to go there again, because of the tire damage from driving up and down for just a week. Jeffreys Bay Municipality, please make the roads as beautiful as your people and the beaches.
My experience with my UIF claim is the worst. I don't even know how to feel anymore. Six months of back and worth, call centre, e-mails, call centre again. E-mails once more. No response, no feedback. No nothing. Useless questions to access your profile just to tell you, that you're still at the same place that you were a month ago. I have gone through all the stages of grief. No one cares anymore. Everyone that works at these Government offices has an attitude that stinks, are arrogant, has no clue what they need to do, has no brains; not even a little bit of common sense, and has absolutely no people's skills. Just the mere fact that I need to interact with anyone in a government setting gives me stress. Rude, entitled, unempathetic, unskilled people with no work ethic at all. And here I thought I have seen and heard it all. It is so sad, because everyone that I dealt with is *********** and heartless. They don't offer a service to anyone and get a salary for doing nothing. It is shameful. And here I am unemployed, wishing I could show these people how it's done. Where I come from, I worked hard and felt proud of the services I rendered. I could not wait to help or direct. And will not be able to rest until that issue is resolved. But at all the Government offices there are clearly no consequences for none performance, there is no pride in what they are doing and so the bad service will continue. I wonder what you would do if you do not get a salary for a month and when you try and get it resolved you get sent from one HR person to the next until it is 6 months later. The leaders of the Department of Labour. Shame on you for not doing the job that you are getting paid for. That you signed a contract for. Clearly there is no leadership, no direction and no love for what you do. Everyone needs to get fired and then you can hire me, and I will show you what work ethic is all about.
This is just a follow up to my initial review. We investigated what happened to my mom's lost luggage. It is a lost cause. My husband went to their offices at Pretoria station. Lady there is disinterested and gave him a pamphlet with numbers to call and/or whatsapp. No one answers however many times we called and the whatsapp number does not even receive messages. In the meantime they continue to deliver their poor services and some more reviews I read online (dating back from 2013), makes me just very grateful that my mom and the kids were all safe and sound. The latest review that was posted Sunday (23 July) left a person stranded alone for hours. How do you just leave someone to wait for another bus, somewhere, at night and alone. It is unacceptable that people that have so little regard for anyone, gets to continue to do whatever without any consequences. It's just not right. I am so frustrated that I cannot do more to make everyone aware that it is not safe to use Eagle Liner's bus services.
My mom and her grandkids took bus no 912, from Pretoria station to Port Elizabeth last night (15 July 2023) - to arrive in Port ELizabeth the following morning at 10h00. They were supposed to leave at 17h30, but the bus only left at 18h20. It was chaos at the Pretoria station. From the drivers to the lady behind the ticket counter were clueless and rude. And they were so inconsiderate by continuing to speak Tswana. A country with 11 official languages and you refuse to accommodate any other race. People from different culture groups travel daily with busses. Not just Tswana speaking people. Speak English. The language that everyone understands - even my mom that is 73 knows that. Mom and the 3 grandkids eventually left, but they got switched over to another bus at Johannesburg station. More chaos. There was some kind of a delay and the bus left JHB station only at 12h00 midnight or so. They only arrived in Port Elizabeth at 18h00 Sunday evening and when they wanted to obtain their luggage her suitcase with all her and the baby girls belongings were gone. My mom is traumatised. Having to wait for 4 hours at a chaotic JHB station with 3 young kids and then realizing your luggage is gone. All her clothes and that of her granddaughter and some new stuff she bought on her vacation here in Pretoria was in that suitcase. We called the offices. Don't get through. Went to the office, we get told they are offline, and we should use their WhatsApp services. Not an ounce of empathy. I am just speechless and so ANGRY!! Intercity Express is the worst ever. They should just close down and spare people all the trauma and stress of their incompetence and rudeness. They don't even deserve a 1-star rating.
