We bought a Yoko Khumo print for use in a start up business. This was for a business to be run by my friend who has just received Permanent residency in SA. After filling out all of the information we received an email that the process was terminated due to a Mastercard Merchants investigation. The only way to be given an unfavourable report from Mastercard is A. ***** or B. Double billing or overcharging. The person applying has never dealt with Mastercard, has no credit card, has never run a business in any country before, has had only one account at Standard bank while having temporary residence in SA and has never had any bad debt or judgement against him. When attempting to rectify the situation, one is confronted by seemingly brain dead agents who promise to call back but never do and unfortunately this seems to be the only avenue open to contest the findings which seem to be an error. We are now going to return the Yoko to the retail vendor. I would suggest to vendors to avoid Yoko because if they make an error, it will be impossible to change.
This refers to Sixty60. ******* service. You order some big ticket items which are listed as available in 60 minutes but after you pay just as delivery commences, you are informed that most of your order is not available. If you want your money back, in my case close to R1000 , you have to wait 3 to 5 working days while Checkers draws the interest. Tidy little **** or not? Besides the inconvenience of this, they don’t even make the 60 minutes guarantee and compensate you with R36 which has to be used in 7 days.
Poor service, advised that my parcel was out for delivery on the 19th of November. Package did not arrive and this pattern repeated itself until the 25th when it was finally delivered in the evening. I tried texting and emailing the company with no reply. The driver could not explain why the delays and inconvenience. Avoid this company if you can. Waybill no. SI01036508
I ordered 20 sleeves of coffee on the 16th of November. I received a WhatsApp message on the 19th that my order would be delivered that day. No delivery and the next day the same message and no delivery. the following day the same so I called customer service and was assured that it would be rectified and that I would receive feedback from them. I texted and emailed their courier company with no reply. The order finally arrived on the 25th at 1840. No apology, no explanation. This is my last order from Nespresso, I will purchase a bean to cup machine and the savings on not buying their overpriced pods will pay for the machine in 9 months.
Service was fine until a few months ago. Afrihost pledges not to shape or throttle however this is what I experience. I logged a complaint twice where I am expected to plug in my laptop( I don’t have one) one do things one would expect a technician to do since support does not believe figures that WiFi delivers. I cannot open pictures and videos but strangely Speedtests deliver good speeds sometimes unless you go to an independent Speedtest like Netflix where the story is quite different. I then tried to cancel the service but was offered a month for free and a consultation with a representative in order to resolve my issues. Of course no consultant called and I was billed for the month. I had upgraded the speed during the month in an attempt to resolve the issues but then downgraded since it made no difference. I was billed for the full month at the higher speed. It is now the first of the month and this means that if I cancel now after they have not fulfilled their obligations, I will end up spending another month of notice period. This company sucks and I would be very hesitant to recommend them.
I terminated membership of Virgin Active in March 2023. After one year, I I get a message from MBD that my account has been handed over. I queried VA and they had billed me for one extra month in error. After much back and forth, I received an email from VA stating that my membership was terminated and that I had a zero balance with the relevant spreadsheet enclosed. I must add that I never owed any money and that my account was always paid via a debit order.I communicated all this information to MBD but despite this I continue to be harassed by their representatives via SMS, email and telephone. I have re-sent all of the info three times to no avail. I still receive threatening emails, the latest on 4 May 2024. If this does not cease, I will be forced to report them to the Legal council.
I resigned from Virgin Active gyms in March 2023 because I moved to Knysna which has no VA gym. One year later I get a call from some attorneys demanding that I pay a debt of R400 to Virgin Active. I received no calls or emails that there was an outstanding amount and a year later they send my details to a debt collector!!! I always paid via debit order for over 20 years so was not aware of any outstanding amount. I called VA and they stated that I was billed in error and in fact do not owe anything and that they would clear me at the debt collection attorney’s. I continue to get calls from the debt collector and so I again called VA who assured me that they would clear me. Guess what? I again received a call from the attorneys who need VA to clear me. This is outrageous and have no idea how to make this stop. The next thing is I will receive a bad credit rating because of Virgin active’s incompetence.
I bought 4 20l buckets of Breakthrough paint. We started painting and the colour seemed very different to the colour chart but I nevertheless liked it and we continued using the first 2 buckets. When we started on the third one however, the colour appeared completely different to the first 2. It was not even close but was an earth colour as opposed to the grey colour of the first 2. The paint batch numbers were different for the respective pairs. I called. Builders Warehouse who referred me to the paint rep at Builders who then put me in contact with the regional boss located in PE. He then moved heaven and earth to find me some paint from the original batch and then sent me the 2 he found plus one more by courier. The service was outstanding however I would think twice about ordering this paint again. The actual quality of the paint is good.
