A very important document was sent from the UK in late September. DHL contracted the delivery to CCD Courier and they have been sitting on it all this time without delivering it. It is extremely urgent yet DHL keep saying they will escalate but nothing is done and the days go by. I tried the "Jed Michaletos wil sort you out path" which was an empty barrel. Service is worse than shocking. I feel like contracting my own courier to fetch it from this courier since it would be more efficient. Also their tracking is a tissue of lies. The parcel is not even in Cape Town and was never "arranged for delivery" as it states.

I called the Vasco (Goodwood) shop ahead of a visit to check if an item was in stock. They confirmed it was. After a 4 hour expensive journey I pitched up and inspected the item. It was heavily scratched and didn't look like the "professionally photographed" one on their ad. Important bits of it were missing and they tried to palm off a charger cable that would never work with it. I suspected it was faulty as well but the manager, Bruce van der Meulen , would not budge on the price. In fact he didn't want to come out from his office and talk to me. (I suspect he's moonlighting elsewhere and was not actually there) I was furious so I went home and complained to their service line. I sent an e-mail which they never bothered to read. The problem was passed up to Nicole Duddy, who spent all of 5 minutes of investigation before backing up the manager. He lied to me and even tried to claim I saw a different item in the shop. I sent him photos of the item on his shop counter so he quickly changed his tune. However he came up with more stories and between him and the regional manager I got nowhere. How on earth can Nicole Duddy be a regional manager for Cape Town when she is based in Johannesburg! You can't follow up a complaint from 2000 Km away. Customer service is non-existent and they do not care. Beware of those fancy photos of items for sale! They appear not to represent the actual sale item.
They've been building for about 8 months now. We are getting clouds of dust swirling across our lawn and is getting deposited on our driveway and verge. They have refused to remove it and are becoming quite rude. A truck broke our window and they are refusing to fix it. Our neighbour's wall is cracking too. I'm not sure if they attended to that. They park across driveways and on the pavement every day. More recently they are dumping paint into the river system and working on Sunday, which is illegal.
I contacted them by phone for a simple quote. What a mission! The lady spoke so badly & so near the phone I couldn't understand a word she was saying. I had to ask her to repeat everything FOUR or more times. Finally she gave me a quote which I was happy with and I asked her to e-mail. TWO hours later nothing had been sent. I called again and got a very abrupt "Well we are busy!" response. A further hour or so later she sent a quote that was R60 more. Some of this was for VAT, which she sneakily did not mention, and the rest was added charges because we live in a "grey zone" (don't ask me, we're in a busy suburb so it sounds like this was just to sc**** more money). Their website says "no hidden fees". Ha ha! They didn't bother sending a tracking number, despite their website promises and their courier was a no show close to the time arranged (wasn't even nearby) so I called again. This time the lady kept asking odd questions over and over that had no relevance to the courier pickup. Three times she asked me where I was and I answered her each time. Finally she said she worked in catering and was "filling in for staff who were out". What incompetent staff they have in Port Elizabeth I then got a call from Brett (refused to give me his surname) the operations manager, who now said he had been "doing me a favour" in sending the courier (yes, you read correctly) and was now going to cancel the pickup and refund me & "blacklist me". They really are as terrible as their reviews say. I managed to get a far better rate and delivery time to replace them. DO NOT USE THEM!!
I bought a few meals from the Vineyard Convenience Centre in Newlands Main Rd (CT) over the past months. I noticed the staff folding serviettes and then handling money and not washing hands or applying cream, which is bad hygiene because money is very dirty. Probably explains all the rats I see outside this branch!

I also found they never made the milkshakes properly. The advertised \ridiculously thick\" shake was impossible to find at this store and others. Staff became annoyed when I commented that it wasn't thick at all - like normal milk - even when I specifically requested a thick one.

I notified Steers. When I went to collect a proper thick milkshake and order a meal, the Steers were rude (AFTER TAKING MY MONEY) said I shouldn't come back! The burger was ice-cold and the chips very poor and stale.

Steers didn't bother replying. I suspect I was set up with cold burgers for complaining to Luke Brumer (Steers HQ). They have refused to refund me too, which is just crooked. I sent photos of the meal to Steers."
I've been on the phone for over 26 mins today (no answer) trying to find out why the company keeps sending me promotional spam almost every day. I have put in 2 service requests to have it stopped and I am on the DMA do not contact list. You are breaking the law and by not dealing with it in a reasonable time treating your customers with contempt.
Be careful of any appliances you buy from Cash Converters, especially the Claremont branch. They aren't testing things they sell. So if you take the trouble to get a heavy, bulky thing home and it may not work from the minute you plug it in.

Now you have to get it back to the shop somehow. They make promises to collect it, and assess why it doesn't work. They also promise any fix will be authorised by you and done properly with correct parts etc.

Instead they have a Congolese guy at the back who speaks little or no English and he does a bodge job on your property without asking and he doesn't just \take a look". They are not repair centers and should not be tinkering with something 'just to get it going'.

In my case they repaired a motor and sandpapered the inside of an air-fryer. I have no idea how long the repair will last or what effect the sanding will do on an item that generates steam. It may cause a fire or stop working as soon as you take it home. This is totally different to what the store manager"
