This company is absolutely terrible. They were supposed to deliver my parcel (tracking number AS0000951833) to me, but instead handed it over to a complete stranger. I called their call center several times, and every single time the agents hung up on me. This is pure negligence and shows how unprofessional they are. They cannot be trusted with customers’ goods. To make matters worse, Shein continues to use this knock-off courier without properly investigating their services. Both companies have failed their customers.
I recently bought a microwave from Fair Price at the Tlhabane Square branch, but my experience was extremely disappointing. When I unpacked the microwave at home, it had a little dust and a stain. I didn’t think much of it and wiped it clean, but I soon discovered the microwave was too big for my kitchen unit, exceeding the fit by about a centimeter. Since Fair Price states on their warranty/guarantee slip that items can be returned within 7 days, I returned the microwave in hopes of exchanging it for a smaller one. However, the staff at the store seemed intent on finding excuses to reject the exchange. They pointed out watermarks, which were easily wiped off, and claimed they were “dents and scratches.” One staff member even alleged the stain (that came with the microwave) was oil residue, which made no sense since it didn’t feel oily. To make matters worse, another employee insinuated that I had tampered with or replaced parts of the microwave, which was both degrading and insulting. I’m not a technician and have no experience with such things—this was my first time buying a microwave. Being treated like a ***** after spending my hard-earned money was humiliating and infuriating. Fair Price’s refusal to honor their stated return policy, coupled with their baseless accusations, left me feeling ****med and disrespected. I expected better from a company I thought was legitimate. I wouldn’t recommend this store to anyone. Save yourself the frustration and shop at Game or another store where customers are treated with fairness and dignity.
I recently received a call from a gentleman named Michael Lijo from Car Track, checking if my car was safe. I appreciate their consistency and diligence in monitoring my vehicle's security. However, I do get frequent calls from their control room, usually because I forgot to switch off the activation mode or due to network issues. It would be great if Car Track could improve their app to function without data, similar to how the Standard Bank app works. Overall, I’m happy with their service and impressed with their reliability. Keep up the good work, and I look forward to seeing improvements in the app!
I had a very disappointing experience with Hoopers Volkswagen, and I feel compelled to share it. I came across a vehicle listed on their site and was contacted by one of their dealers after inquiring. We discussed my interest in purchasing the car, and he requested several documents, which I promptly sent via WhatsApp. He then conducted a hard inquiry on my credit profile. The next day, instead of Sizwe reaching out to me, I had to call him to follow up. He mentioned that my loan was approved by their internal finance, and I was asked to make a deposit of R18,000. While I was willing to pay, Sizwe assured me he would try to negotiate for a lower deposit and get back to me. Unfortunately, this “negotiation” turned out to be an excuse to look for another buyer, as he never contacted me again. To my shock, the following evening, I checked their site and saw that the vehicle I was interested in had been marked as sold. They ran a hard credit check on my profile without completing the sale or informing me of any changes. This has now impacted my credit score unnecessarily. The dealership showed a severe lack of communication, transparency, and honesty. Their enthusiasm when first contacting me was misleading and ultimately felt like a ploy. Based on this experience, I urge potential buyers to be cautious when dealing with Hoopers Volkswagen and to take other negative reviews seriously.
I had an awful experience at the Standard Bank branch on Thabo Mbeki Street, Rustenburg. I went there after a machine in town swallowed my card. This visit wasn’t planned, but I was forced to go to the nearest Standard Bank to resolve the issue. Unfortunately, the front desk was the least welcoming experience I’ve ever had. From the moment I arrived, the man at the front desk was cold, dismissive, and lacked basic customer service etiquette. There was no friendly greeting—just a demand for my ID, which I understand is standard procedure. However, when I explained that I didn’t have it with me (since this was not a planned visit), his response was shockingly rude: "How can you come to the bank without an ID?" There was no attempt to understand the situation. After that interaction, I was told to sit and wait to be called by name, which I did. At some point, I needed to use the restroom urgently, so I asked if they had one available. His response? "You go to Pick n Pay if you want a toilet, not here." This was said with a completely indifferent expression, without any consideration that I was still in the queue. To make things worse, he did not advise me on what would happen if my name was called while I was away. Afraid of being skipped and having to deal with him again, I held it in and waited longer than necessary. This was a truly disappointing experience. While I understand that everyone has bad days at work, someone in a front-desk role needs to be approachable and empathetic. This staff member was anything but. I hope Standard Bank will improve the customer experience at this branch because the service I received today was unacceptable.
They have an assumption that everyone knows their new system instead of assisting you they act arrogant and talk anyhow. Terrible service. Rustenberg next to the taxi rank
