Misleading Promotion
I went to Midway Mews and filled R600 fuel. The attendant gave me a leaflet with a link to win prizes which I registered for. I won a free car wash worth R110 which I went to the manager to claim. He told me I have to buy another R500 or more in the convenience store as well to claim the prize. Are you kidding me. Over R1100 now. I angrily left there as I had wasted my time.

Disappointed in Piemans pies.
I bought a carton of 6 frozen Piemans Pepper Steak Pies from Checkers. We baked 2 of them. When we started eating, the top of the pastry came loose from the bottom, rendering them impossible to eat as a pie. The fillings were far too runny and contained tiny pieces of meat. So far different from the picture on the box. Wondering what to do with the rest of the pies in the box. Back to trustworthy Woolworths pies.

On-line Upgrade
I have been a customer with Vodacom for over 20 years. A few weeks ago I tried upgrading my Cell and Data Contracts on-line. Everything was successful and I was send reference numbers. Never heard from them after that. I called them and spoke to an agent who said that the Cell Contract did not go through because it was on as Legacy system - but this is their official site for upgrades. She tried a telephonic upgrade buy halfway through the call was cut and she never called back. Time to shop around.

AVOID On-line delivery purchases
I made an on-line purchases a week ago for delivery on Friday (02/12) between 11:00 - 13:00. Money was taken from my Credit Card. Nothing was delivered - no communication at all. Call Centre never got answered. I sent an e-mail and got a vague reply that they are very busy. I needed the purchases for a camping trip this weekend. Had to rush to Makro to make purchases of the same product. No cancellations possible - no delivery. What kind of service is this. I will never shop at this retailer again.

Poor Service
The Pick & Pay at Blue Hills has terrible service. Nobody to weigh the fruits and veg, nobody manning the cigarette counter, only 2 cashiers operating at 11:00 in the morning with long queues. Management? What has gone wrong with P&P? Best avoided in future in lieu of Checkers at Kyalami Corner which is much better to shop at.

Waste of Time
Medicross Carlswald. Made on-line booking slots twice this week for dentist. I get an SMS that application has been received but never hear from them again. So no appointment. Are they here to serve this community or not. I will not bother with them again in the future. I eventually went to the Dentistry in Midway Mews and that was a pleasure.

Dodgy Place
If I had read the posts by other people I should have realised this place is dodgy. I opened an account and spent some money on some sports bets. I did win some and decided to try a withdrawal. Other places accept the exact same FICA documents. This place no chance. They just don't want to pay. Places like this should not be legal. I will play out the funds and write this off as a bad experience. Don't bother with this place.

Card downgraded
Just been informed that my card has been downgraded because I didn't earn enough points in the last year (translation - they didn't make enough money of me). Considering COVID and that they were closed for the best part of 2-3 months, and the experience is currently not good. Good time to go there less. They are shooting themselves in the foot.

Contract Cancelled
I have been a contract customer with Vodacom for over 20 years. Recently I was offered an upgrade, but they didn't have the selected device in stock. So I said , please cancel the upgrade as I wasn't keen on the other devices offered and will decide later. The agent cancelled the contract instead. I called the next day to say that I just wanted the upgrade cancelled not the contract. They said they will fix it up. Today I get another message that the contract will be cancelled at the end of the month and converted to prepaid - which is tomorrow. I claim expenses and this does not suit me. Are they driving a longstanding customer away or is this pure incompetence?
