I bought a new Dell for R14999 on the 2nd December 2025. 7 days later the laptop aircon is heavy and making noise. When pressing a shift key and " it doesnt work the first time you need to do it agian then it makes it double. When you touch the side cover of the screen is cracking like it was not put together correctly . The mouse control on the eft is loose. I then called Dell support the guy I spoke to said its a DOA meaning dead on delivery. He called me to call support. I did do that and am guy sat on the phone with ne trying to sort out this problem for 3hrs mind you I am a consultant I grt paid for hrs. The guy couldnt fix it. I sent the message to the guy who advised it was DOA. Subsequently I keep getting messages from the whats app asking me.what is the problem I think its automated. 3 days later after I spoke to a technician who failed to fix the issue another tech guy called told me he will bring the parts. Imagine a new laptop that needs parts. I believe they sold me a refurbished laptop. I need to go to ombudsman fight for my money. I bought this thinking its a icore 7 and its slow too. So Dell take me for a fool seriously.
I bought bread at woolwowrth randparkridge mall on the. 27th August 2025, I discovered on the 28th August 2025 that the bread has a funny object in it. I have already consumed the bread. The object was in a place where you wouldnt see but can only notice as the bread size is reducing. I then went went back to the mall to go complain about the situation. 1stly I met a manager who was still wet behind ears wanted to replace the bread. As I was explaining a store manager came to try and resolve the issue. We agreed I leave the bread with them they go do investigations and they will.come back to me. I took part of the bread to do examination myself. This has been traumatizing experience for me that since then I look at the bread and can't not swallow. So woolworths has gone mute o n this issue. So I took a piece of thr bread for examining myself. The way it is since I feel stomach cramps. The next steps is i need to take this to the consumer council as this is a traumatic experience and has impacted my high cholesterol.
I have been with outsurance for over 10yrs had more than one car insured with them. My premium has moved from R1492 in February to R1747. I send through a request for a re-rate on the 05 April 2025. on the 08 April 2025 i received a call from Joy who wanted to help but when he changed my address to the new address the premium went to R1870. This sounded ridiculous as i wanted to reduce the insurance. He then called a supervisor whose i forgot. He came spent 30 minutes trying to convince me not to cancel and he will make it better. He first promised to take it back to R1492 and then to R1700 with a higher excess. Funniest thing is he had the guts to tell me i have been with them 10yrs which amount to R250 000 worth of premium payments and i have never claimed but he cannot help me reduce the premium. As work was busy we both agreed he consult management and come back to me at 5pm. Lo be hold no call at 5pm this morning i get a letter and msg saying my insurance has been cancelled. While there is an out bonus in October. So i have never seen such an appalling service. What OUTsurance is saying to me is thank you for giving us R250000 you can now foetsek we do not need you anymore.
On 26 October 2023 we put offer to purchase a house through HOLMZ under Zoe Ahlers as an agent. We viewed the house but some parts could not be viewed as there were stuff in the house, the study cupboards. on 02 March 2024 we received the key to our new home as i was doing inspection i realised that there were cracks in the study room inside the cupboards on the other side of the room. i then immediately informed Zoe who promised to sort it out at first she said it minor it needs polyfill until i requested the cancellation of the deal. She then promised to fix it but went quite. i was quite too as i was not well. i then contacted her and she told me she doesn't work for that company anymore. When i referred to Holmz (Oconnor) they gave me a run around until i contacted the old owner. They were disputing in fixing the cracks. i got the quote which was r12000 and they wanted to send their own contractor who came with the same mentality of polyfill. i then told the owner i am cancelling the sale as the house is sold under false information but the owner eame back with a document showing that he was aware of the cracks and HOlmz were aware of the cracks as he found them and told them about them. They previously acted like they knew nothing of the cracks until the old owner revealed the truth. Then Zoe send through his contractor who came did evaluation and peeled the wall outside thinking he is going to fix it. When Zoe came back with the quote was only to fix the one side of the wall which i rejected and she still does not want to fix the walls. Its a year later the wall still not fixed and i am not sure where to report the matter cause the cracks are growing by day. The house was sold to the previous owner by the same company Holmz they received double the fees with same damages.
On 26 October 2023 I signed an offer to purchase a house through Zoe Ahlers at Holmz. We viewed the house but could not view the other parts of the house as there were still furniture and stuff in the house. We received the house keys on the 02 March 2024. On that day I did inspection and to find cracks in the study, wall cracks. I then informed Zoe of the cracks, and she told me it was foots toot. I then did my research and realise it was false information and wanted to cancel the sale. She then came back to say it is a crack that will need pollyfill. I then contacted the old owner and told him I am cancelling the contract. He subsequently spoke to Holmz (Oconnor) to fix the matter as Zoe was not working there anymore. The old owner sends a contractor to come do the quotation (R12000) which he sends to Holmz. They came back to me and refuse to pay they denied knowing about the cracks until the previous owner send me the document, he signed indicating that when he bought the house previously from same agent, he advised them of the cracks. I then forwarded the information to HOLmz whereby they decided to send their contractor who came and made his observation and then then referred me to a governmental engineer as I was disagreeing with his statements. I then send Zoe the proof that they knew about the cracks before they sold me the house. She then sends me the other contractor to come do evaluations. When he was checking he then removed some parts of the wall cracks outside believing he is going to come back and fix. When the quotation came back Zoe only wanted to fix the inside the cupboard not the other side of the wall. I refused the quotation to say she needs to fix everything as they were aware of both the issues and his contractor done more damage outside by removing parts of the cracks. This has been going for a year and still no resolution. I am not sure which ombudsman to report this to. The cracks are glowing as we having more rain and thunder. I need these cracks sorted or money paid so I can find a contractor to fix it.
During July 2024 I visited the Barnard store on Ontdekkers road trying to find help with fixing my Defy stove. The issue of the stove was that the plates were not getting enough heat. When i got there i met ladies and a very knowledgeable gentlemen who is the owner of the store. i told him my problem and i told him i am thinking the stove plates are old. He suggested to send the electricians to come check it and added that it could be the nobs. the agreement was they will check the stove do a analysis of the problem then let me know if i am willing to fix it. Two days later the guys called but i was not home. i called back a day later whereby they told me the technician will come later. The electricians only came about 8pm the guy did not do proper testing. All he did was turn the nobs said is the plates. Changed the old plates and the stove was not fixed . When he tested the stove the stove was overheating on the plates they left promising to come back. i was charged R1500 for the replacement and the call. i complained the next day for the guys to come fix the stove and i was told i need to buy nobs which will cost me another R1200 the issue was not the plates. i asked them to return my plates and bring nobs which never happened. i then visited the store a week later to show the even the oven now is burning the insulation. the only issue the stove had was the top and we still could cook. the oven didn't have any issues we baked. At the moment we cant use the stove at all until they fix and they refusing to fix it i went to the store couple of times nothing is happening even today. i have no money to put the nobs and i need this house rented out but the stove is delaying the process. The questions i ask how to you do a diagnosis by just turning the nobs and give a solution. i am in a loss of R1500 my stove is not working as usual so all i ask is my plates back and the stove to work as it was. Cause buying another nobs is more or less me putting a new stove
