Online orders seem to be a total disaster! They promise 1-3 days for delivery. However I placed an order on Friday 19 September 2025. By the afternoon of Monday 22 September 2025 my order was still indicated as processing. I then canceled the order and asked for a refund. This entire week I have been promised feedback regarding my refund. It is now Friday 26 September 2025 a week later and still no refund or feedback. They apparently have all kinds of departments from sales to cancelations to finance, but in my experience not one is functioning. I will never order from them ever again. This order was for more than R 2000.
If you are investing money with Discovery Invest beware these people are ****mers and are only interested in filling their own coffers. My wife has an RA now for 18 years with these ****mers. The total growth of her investment is not even 1.5%. However every month they take more than a quarter of her money for admin fees!! When I queried them they blamed the advisor. When I asked for the advisor fees to be returned they claim there have never been advisor fees subtracted. The admin fees of about 27% they claim are legal and binding. So how will an investment ever be viable if a quarter of your money goes to admin fees!? My wife trusted them with her life savings and this is what she gets. I am furious and will ensure that the public are informed about this ******** behaviour from a company that call themselves an investment institution.
I have been with many banks in my life. Investec for about 13 years now and still excellent service. They expect you to be mature about your money and if you are you will never be disappointed.
This is a warning to anyone interested in purchasing an Audi A1 TFSI Auto and other Audis using a dry DSG auto box. With a 101 000km this is the second time I have had gearbox issues. First time under warranty and this time the mechatronic is not under warranty. It took the workshop two days to come up with a quote and now that I have a quote of R50 000 there are no units available. I will have to rent a car for a minimum of another 10 days. I made time to go and do a bit of reading. Turns out the mechatronic unit on these vehicles is a nightmare. So why did Audi continue to sell these vehicles without rectifying the issue? I thought I had a quality, reliable vehicle that is light on fuel. Well turns out I was wrong and could never trust my family’s wellbeing again in an Audi.
I have had to cancel my subscription due to the difficult financial situation we find ourselves in due to C19. This is the second month that the debit order goes through on my account without me receiving a service. (They debit me but you can bet that my decoder has been de-activated. The previous month I received an apology with a promise that the error will be rectified. If this is not proof of poor administration, I do not know what is.ENQUIRY REFERENCE NUMBER : 22941969
Discovery Insure is fantastic. We had a breakdown on a Sunday afternoon in the middle of nowhere. Within an hour we had a tow truck haul us to the nearest dealership. William Machitiso from Discovery followed up with us to ensure that we were safe and taken care of.
