Nu debt must be investigated. They continue to threaten and harass me for an account which is completely up to date. Can somebody please do something?
This time last year I was booked into the Rockefeller hotel Cape Toen for 2 nights and paid in advance. I’m sure it was still under construction, there was no DSTV, no tea or coffee tray, if you wanted to watch Netflix, you had to use your own account. My room looked over a dilapidated court yard. During the night I received an emergency call to return to Johannesburg. I went down to the front desk and explained to them. They said it was no problem and they would refund my money for the night I was missing. I left and went back to Johannesburg. A year later and still no refund. This is grossly unfair, as I am a pensioner and have very little income to spare. Please HelloPeter please see what you can do. As usual you have managed to embarrass me again by sending the wrong items. Initially I ordered a purple lava lamp and and a purple Rotating lamp. You told me you had no purple rotating lamp only blue . I asked you change both lamps to blue, you then said you had no blue lava lamps. I looked on your website and the blue lava lamp was available. After that, you ignored my emails. Yesterday when the the child opened his present, he had a blue rotating lamp and a red lava lamp! To top it all, the lava lamp which was supposed to be be a purple glitter lava lamp, is not a glitter lamp at all. Your service has become shocking and I am most unhappy with this purchase . I have never had this problem with Takelot and to even try and return something to you is virtually impossible. Your customer support and following up on complaints is virtually non existent. I will think twice before purchasing from you again
This refers to Rockefellers Cape Town. I was booked in for 2 nights during July, which was paid in advance. I arrived late at night, the building looked nice from the outside and the decor was also quite nice. The hotel was however still under construction. There was no DSTV, if you wanted to watch Netflix, you had to use your own account. There was no tea or coffee station in the room and the view from the widow was a rubble site. There was no room service either. The next morning I received an emergency call to return to Johannesburg, which I did. To this day I have not received any compensation for the day and night I did not spend there, due to circumstances beyond my control. This is totally unacceptable and I would like a response from the management . Do not stay there ! PS; they don’t have parking either.
In October I ordered a specific sports book for a very ill boy in Cape Town, for Christmas. In November Loot told me they could not source the book, although they advertised it and took my money. I then ordered a similar book as I was seeing the child on Christmas Day. I was promised delivery on the 15 December, then the 19 December and then the 22 December. When the book didn’t arrive on 23 December, I phoned Loot and was told they couldn’t get hold of the courier company as they had closed early. This was 16::00 on the 23rd. The lady at Loot said she would call me back. I waited till 17:00 and phoned Loot again.No answer, they had closed for Christmas. I got hold of a lady called Sithembiso who apparently was from the courier company. She told me “the parcel is marked returned on our side, Loot might have used another company for reattempt. we will communicate the issue to them” After threatening her with HellloPetetr she changed her story to “you might have the wrong company “ I went to Cape Town minus the book and to a heart-broken child. I am back in Joburg and have still not received the book or any form of communication from either Loot or the so-called Courier company. Today is the 27th December. No form of compensation can make up for this child’s heartbreak. I intend taking this matter further. The courier lady also referred to the courier company as “one of her businesses. People beware!
Is there ANYBODY that can do anything about Customs Johannesburg. Parcels that took 10 days from China to Johannesburg, are lying in Johannesburg for months. There is no response from customs. Now the supplier does not want to ship to SA anymore. As he says, everything goes smoothly until the shipment reaches SA, then the shipment disappears. The supplier is then responsible for a credit. Please someone, do something. There are Christmas presents lying in Customs since October. This can not go on!

I am so disgusted with Polmed. We have been on this pathetic Medical Aid for over 40 years, never had a problem until the ANC Government took over. My husband retired as a high ranking officer and we are on Marine plan, the highest plan Polmed has. Due to an accident , dentures were smashed and we phoned Polmed. We were told that we get a basic allowance of R3526. Per year ( for 3 members) and have a balance of R 1500 left. We also get an allowance of R14000 for specialized dentistry. We applied to use part of the specialized dentistry to pay towards costs and were declined. After paying this Medical Aid for over 40 yrs, they could not give us R4000 from a fund we never have, nor ever will use. The problem is that every Tom, **** and Harry with a year or two service in SAPS, with their large family’s, have plundered the Medical Aid. Polmed you are a disgrace. Unmarried members are allowed to put their partners and families on the Medical Aid, which was unheard of in the old days, when Polmed was regarded the Best Medical Aid in the country. I am still waiting to hear if you are going to replace my Impulse Sealer or send it in for another 3 week repair? I also want to know where my spare element is, which was in the box when I sent it in? Please respond ASAP because this is unacceptable and there is no after sale service from Makro whatsoever.
