Stole R50 from me. They design the app so that when you approve an order you actually subscribe to Uber One, which immediately takes R50 from your account. They are tricking consumers into using this feature, and to unsubscribe you have to delve deep into menus in the Uber app (not Uber Eats) to actually cancel the subscription. True en****tification.
I continue to receive marketing emails that I did not request. When I click the unsubscribe link, I am forced to log in or remember account details just to opt out. In terms of South Africa’s POPIA, opting out of direct marketing should be simple and accessible, and forcing unnecessary login steps can be seen as unreasonable obstruction. This experience is frustrating and, in my view, not aligned with POPIA requirements.
I placed an order 10 October - It is now 3 novemnber - i still don't have internet. Iv'e spent almost 3 hours talking to people there approximatle 8 differnt people. There is nothing special about the order. Its got coverage, its in Johannesburhg. I have no idea what else to do
Terrible Brand. False advertising. They give you a two year warranty that means absolutely nothing. Sole came off my shoe on the first proper walk and they say its not under warranty and wont do anything about it and thats after spending 3k on a pair of shoes. This is second pair, my first pair rubber came loose on toe on one of the first hikes. Done with this brand.
Dealing with this property management has been a challenging experience, particularly due to their approach during school holidays. Despite sending out notifications during these periods, they impose fines if specific actions aren't taken. This approach feels inconsiderate and quite unreasonable.
Messed up my last 3 requests. Useless. 1 wanted a new line at work. After about 5 escalations over a 2 month period they never got the line installed. 2 i cancelled my rental house line and i still got billed a month later. Now i must talk to willie the bot to get service. The bot couldnt get me to an agent in 3 hours 3 i moved house and did a migration on another line. On day it should be working it isnt. Now they have to do some manual migration? Why do you offer migration online if it doesnt work. 3 bad experiences in a row. It seems they think a bot will solve the issue but it takes forever nad get nowhere. And the people that do work there seems to be chilling nad working from home and not getting anything done.
Useless Its been 6 weeks now with 3 escalations and many "we know this is unacceptable, but we will sort you out today" promises, and I still don't have internet. The communication/working relationship between webafrica and openserv is also obviously not working. Try someone else.
I started the process to close my account on Sun, Jun 28, 9:38 AM via email. After that I have talked to about 5 consultants on about 4 occasions with over 120 minutes on the phone. Its almost a month later and my account hasn't been closed. I was promised by the last consultant that my account is now closed withing 48 hours. Today I receive a statement with more bank fees to pay after I already settled the balance owing on the 28th of June. The world's first behavioral bank... has got a long way to go. I closed an FNB account in 5 minutes. I don't know what more to do.
I have purchased 5 computer screens and 2 TVs from Makro in the last year. Not once did they take the screen out the box to show me that it works... they all worked. On Friday I saw a Sinotech TV on special... they took the TV out the box to show me that it worked... which was a first after all my past purchases from the same store. They repackaged it. I drove home with the TV (5kms) took it out and plugged it in and it was cracked. There was no incident of it bumping and it was packaged with polystyrene etc. I took it back and as soon as the staff saw it was that brand/TV I brought back managers were there and said they can't refund me... It is quite obvious that the staff at the store has been informed about the low quality of these TV's. I am 6 grand out of pocket and the sales and refund staff's behavior was very suspicious. I would like a refund. Makro clearly knows its selling a sub-par quality product, and sells it on sale to get rid of the stock. In a 5km car ride in protective packaging it shouldn't break...
