Today I got the following email from Cool Ideas. "Our internal mailer went rogue and sent out the wrong message to all our cool clients. Don't worry, we've set it straight. The new mailer is below and comes with our apologies for spamming your inbox. *Lesson learned: Even mailers need a reality check sometimes." I've been with Cool Ideas since (I think) March of 2023 and we as customers are always quick to complain online but never take the time to compliment when compliments are due. Cool Ideas not only own up to their errors and by totally defrosting that situation with style. but they have been by far the coolest ISP I have had. Every step from sign up to today has been a breeze. What sets you apart in the icy world of ISPs is your commitment to keeping us in the loop. Those notifications about potential network chill sessions are a game-changer. I can plan my day accordingly whether I'm chilling watching Netflix or caught in an avalanche of work meetings. Payments through the monthly invoices are also super chill and easy. I hope others experience the same level of service and satisfaction that I have had. Thanks, for being the Elsa of ISPs – making everything magically cool! ❄️ Regards, Kendall
I ordered a couch over 3 months ago and haven't received it. There has been no communication and I cannot get hold of the company via email, phone or whatsapp. They have also disabled comments on instagram so you cannot warn other customers about your bad experiences. Furthermore, their physical store in Pretoria closed down so I cannot even approach them in person. I would not recommend buying from them.
They are a *****ulent company. Bought a couch months ago, no delivery, no refund, no communication.
Social media team are amazing and efficient. Answered my questions fast and connected me with the relevant people to help answer my queries. Keep it up 😁you deserve more recognition.
Great service with constant updates and friendly staff. Only issue is they install the fibre over multiple visits, so you have to make yourself available for installation on 4 different days. 1st day to send a surveyor. 2nd day to feed a hollow tube for the fibre to run through 3rd day to feed fibre through the tube they lay on the 2nd day. 4th day to splice the ends of the fibre that they fed on day 3. Obviously I have no idea how things are run on their end, but seeing as my parents had their fibre done all on 1 day by a different provider makes me question why TTConnect can't at least split it into 2 visits. First visit to do any digging etc and install the hollow tube thingy. Second visit to feed and splice fibre. Other than the multiple visits I have no complaints 😊 In fact, the dude on day 4 (I can't recall his name currently but my brain is telling me it's Collin?) drove all the way to me, found out they gave him the wrong plate for my fibre, so he drove all the way back to Boksburg to collect the correct plate. I heard his manager on the phone say that she owes him a chocolate for doing that, so I hope he got his chocolate.
I am shocked to read about them in the news. I ordered a webcam (Logitech Brio) from them last year December (13/12/2021) and it was delivered not even 2 weeks later (22/12/2021). They even gave me a waybill number when I enquired about the courier progress. I had great service, not sure what lead to them tanking so hard in all the latest reviews :(
Bought a printer is September this year. While it was a mission for me to find the exact one I wanted, the folks over at Printerland gave amazing service via email. Props to Fiona for the back and forth to update me on the status of the printer availability.
Easy to view products, place an order, and pay. Seamless from start to finish and delivered within a few days. Can definitely recommend. The range of products is also quite extensive compared to similar providers.
Been with FNB for years now. Had a recent issue relating to my account and the folks over on twitter @Rbjacobs always give such amazing service. I think the social media presence is fantastic and response times are very reasonable. Keep it up :)
Much like a lot of the other reviews, poor service, no delivery of online goods despite them saying it is "automatic". After phone calls, 2 emails, and their Whatsapp helpline I have not yet received any feedback after 10 days. Would highly encourage customers to use anyone else.
