The prices are very cheap until you try to pay. Then the cost almost triples with many extra charges… shipping, taxes, and god knows what else.
Be careful. They advertise very cheap goods, but when it’s time exit and pay the price triples with extra costs for shipping!
Don’t get trapped with the “free gifts”. You get free gifts if you buy for a certain amount. After paying, you realise that your order doesn’t have the free gifts and you paid full price for the other items.
ABSA is plundering money from my account: they double charged amounts for a card machine for many years and payments that were approved via the card machine get reversed 2 months later because of some weird technical issues and nothing gets done about it. Avoid them they are *******.
We recently flew to Mauritius. We paid for business class via a Clubmed agent. To our surprise we were put in economy class on both legs of the journey. We sat in the front of the plane in economy class (with economy class leg room) but they put a small symbolic mini curtain between us and the rest of economy, put white napkins on our economy tables and gave us horrible food. We were told by the cabin crew that this is the "new business class". They thought they could bamboozle us so easily. I complained to SAA and Clubmed but they all refused to pay us back the difference the price between economy and business class. We were ******. Never again will be fly SAA or use Clubmed as a travel agent. I send complaints to SACAA , NCC and the Tourism board.
An expensive nightmare holiday. We had nothing but bad experiences with Clubmed. We were ****med out of money and had to deal with rude staff. We booked 2 business class tickets but to our surprise we travelled twice in economy class. When I asked Clubmed for a refund for the price difference and a detailed invoice to see how much more we paid for the “business class” tickets, it was refused. Albion in Mauritius was also a disappointment. The food was mediocre to bad and many of the staff rude and uncooperative. The beach was also a disappointment and the entertainment was boring. Our 1 week holiday for 2 cost us R163000 but I feel I was ******. Never again will we travel with Clubmed.
When you book they insist that you fly with SAA, which I reluctantly agreed to. The reason for that I found out, later, is because they have underhands deals with SAA. And to no surprise there is a problem now with pilots who are going on strike and a rude employee told me that he doesnt know what is happening or what to do.
They are not honest. They sold my goods in March 2023 but never paid me out. I waited and phoned now for 7 months but I am not getting my money. I do not recommend those auctioneers. They are ******.
I wish I had read the other few hundred complaints before I bought my Smeg appliances. 1/2 my appliances are already broken and after paying more than 2x for their products you still need to pay enormous amounts to have them repaired. I need to pay R3630 to replace a small display unit on my fridge. I could have bought a whole new fridge from another brand for that cost. I will never buy Smeg again. They are just another fongkong make but sold at ridiculous prices.
I ordered online because "stock" was "available" . I even paid extra for express delivery, but next day I get a message that there is "no stock" and they don't know when and if stock will arrive. Now I am praying and waiting for my refund. Buying online with them is risky.
