I have taken my car into Dunlop Westville on a few occasions for small checks and tyre repairs. The staff have always been efficient, helpful and kind. They do not make unnecessary recommendations, which is always a concern for me as a woman who does not know much about cars. The location is also very convenient.
I have recently used their car licence facilities to renew two licences and avoid standing in the queue at the post office. It is quick and easy to submit the documents and do payment, and the licences were delivered quickly and efficiently.
I took my 8 year old tent's fly sheet into Cape Union Mart to get a quote on repairing it. It was damaged due to age and UV exposure, not due to any fault in the product. However, because it was a K-Way tent, it was taken and repaired for free. What a wonderful surprise! And how wonderful to see an organisation standing by their product. Thank you.
I got a number of duplicated gifts and clothes recently for my baby shower. The staff in the store were super efficient at changing the items (still in their packets and with their labels, but without the till slips) for other clothes and things that I needed, no questions asked. Thank you!
I bought an iPod Classic 18 months ago. Despite being very careful with it,it now is not working - it opens, and registers on my computer, but says that it is \corrupted""; but without success;and I was told it \""must be a hardware problem\"". I bought a bath mat from Dischem, and on using it, found that it did not stick to the bath or shower, making it very dangerous. I had already thrown the slip away (I had not expected a bath mat to be faulty), and the item was used, but I decided to see if they would refund me or replace the item anyway. I went to the Westwood branch (not the branch I had bought the item at), where they promptly looked up my purchase history on the computer, confirmed that I had bought the shower mat, and refunded me without question. The whole process only took about 10 minutes, and the staff were very helpful.
This happened just after Christmas. I had a Jeep gift card which I knew had credit on it, but was showing a balance of R0.00. The manager at the shop took my details and promised to follow up, and asked us to call into the shop on our return to the airport in three days time. I didn't have to wait for that, as less than two hours later, he had already phoned to say that the credit was available, and that we should stop by the shop on our return. We did this, and despite the lady there on the evening we returned not having been there at the time of my initial request, full instructions had been left for my imminent visit. I was very happy to go home with a lovely new piece of Jeep clothing. Unfortunately, the phone message from the manager was deleted, so I'm not sure of his name, but thank you to him for being so efficient and friendly. Well done, you are a credit to your brand.
