I bought the promotional school shoes about 2 wèeks ago. Yesterday the sole completely seperated from the shoe upper. This is very poor qaulity. Went back to the Burt drive Spar to enquire about a gaurantee. They told me there is no guarantee and that i should email head office. How is this. I still paid R75 and spent over the R350 to obtain the shoes. Yet there is no gaurantee? Dont sell ******* as a promotional gimmick to boost sales and then excuse yourself from accountability.
I have scratch and dent cover with Fnb. First time i claimed it was denied citing the cost of repair is higher than cover amount. But if i can find at least 2 qoutes to prove their estimate wrong they would pay. Left it there. Second claim. This time a very minor dent. Again denied citing same criteria. Firstly. They asses the damage from a photo. Then request you to get a qoute yourself. And this is where the **** lies. The cover offers mobile repair. But ive deduced that they dont have any partners in areas other than probably the main centres. So now they want you to do the ground work by denying your claim. They send you a list of approved repair centres. But im sure they have no agreement with these companies. I attempted going to one. The people didnt give me the time of day and i realised these companies dont have time to do small R500 to R1000 repairs. They want the real money. So Fnb has us paying for cover that they really can not provide. At least not in the smaller centres. I can gather that no mobile repair service even exists for us. Me being in P.E. So in the end FNB. You are misleading your customers by offering a service which you can not actually provide then expect me do do the driving around. Get out of the insurance business if you cant do it with integrity. You may find someday that your greed start making your feet rot.
On day one of joining this platform i won 1500 and decided to cash out using fnb ewallet. No ewallet came through and I checked the transaction list which stated 'declined by bank'. I expected it to revert back to my hollywood account but nothing happened. Called them the next day (Today) First they said it will revert back during the course of the day as it takes 24hrs. Srill nothing. They then said they would escalate it. Still nothing. When I communicated again with Thokozani M on the chat, she said escalations take 24hrs. So now another 24hrs. This is utter nonsence. Poor poor service and conduct. How can any punter trust to chance their money with this company. Taking a chance in the first place and then struggling to get your winning. Totally unacceptable.
So these fools are out of mini loaves. They tell me I have to pay the normal price. No substitutions. No price reduction. For a mini loaf that normally costs R10.90 on its own. Almost the price of a loaf of bread. You guys are very *********. Ill move my business elsewhere. I dont deal with people who think they can exploit festive or whatever. A ***** is a *****.
I was called by MFC offering me a very good deal on Scratch and dent cover. R75 a month. So I signed up. My vehicle is financed by MFC and it was stated that this offering is only available for existing MFC customers. What they do without stating as much is finance the full amount over the term of the policy and add it to your Vehicle finance amount. In essence they gice you a loan that pays the policy upfront and then they are able to add interest. I was qouted for a term of 24 months. So the R1800 that it should cost now costs over R5000. They dont tell you they are financing the amount upfront. Who wants to pay interest on insurance. Is it even legal.I assumed a deduction of R75 as stated monthly. I think Nedbank does this with all their value added products as they tried doing the same with my home insurance. So they are sucking every cent they can from unassuming loyal customers. This kind of business practice is completely ********* in my opinion. As much as I think the product is good I think you are operating as loan sharks using your financial muscle to suck the life out of your customers. I cancelled the policy. I wont be paying interest on insurance.
I took out scratch and dent cover with FNB. Basically for peace of mind. I had a small scratch and put in a claim. In my own opininion it should cost less than R1000 to repair professionally. FNB covers repairs up to R3000. Well when you claim they ask for a picture and they base the claim solely off of this picture. No one physically comes to inspect. Well they ended up rejecting the claim saying saying the qoute they got was over R10000 and thus above the maximum claimable amount. It is thus my opinion that they will reject any claim since if they reject for a simple scratch I cant see them covering anything. Perhaps their idea of a scratch is something that can be polished out. Which in that case makes this type of insurance a gimmick. I think who ever they get their qoutes from will always be overpriced since this being an insurance claim. Rather state correctly that only scratches that can be polished out will be covered. So I believe all these short term scratch and dent, tyre and rim, portable possession, etc insurance going around is just a gimmick to make money. They wont ever repair scratches since it will always exceed the maximum claimable amount. Now that I am trying to cancel this ruɓbish policy I am being sent from pillar to post. I geuss in this case the old saying really applies. "If it sounds too good to be true then it probably is" It sounds cheap but in essence they dont intend paying. Just selling you peace of mind on false promises. So we should think twice about short term insurance. These people are **** artists. It is dissapointing that such a large organisation as FNB has resorted to such underhanded business ethics. I will certainly have to review all the policies I have with them.

TODAY I FEEL DISGUSTED AND VIOLATED BY THE ACTIONS OF YOUR SECURITY PERSONELL. I WENT TO THE GOLDEN ACRE BOUGHT SOME STUFF AND WENT TO GAME AS I LIKE TO COMPARE PRICES. I HAD TO MAKE A URGENT CALL AND WENT BACK INTO SHOPRITE TO GET AIRTIME AND LEFT ONLY TO REALISE I FORGOT SOMETHING SO I RETURNED FOR A THIRD TIME. THE SECURITY TAPED MY BAG AND I WENT TO GET WHAT I NEEDED AND \PAID"FOR IT.ON MY WAY OUT I WAS CONFRONTED BY 2 SECURITIES WHO DIRECTED ME TO A ROOM BECAUSE THEY WANTED TO SEARCH ME.I OBLIGED"
