I recently went to the FNB branch in Thabong, Sebokeng Plaza for 2 consecutive days and was always welcomed by Sinalo Pretty Mthenjana, let me further add that she wore the most warmest of smiles every time, her customer service is exceptional and she worked from what was meant to be her lunch break until closing of business helping my friends and I. During these long 2 hours of us being there she kept the warm smile and top notch customer service,not once was she impatient with us, in fact she was more than willing to explain stuff to us in detail. My last review about FNB was terrible, but because of Ms Sinalo Pretty Mthenjana I am willing to give FNB another chance, how I wish ALL of your employees were like her, I was having such a terrible day yesterday & guess who gave me words of encouragement,yup,she did. I also saw how she also helped some old man who seemed to be frustrated but she eventually calmed him down and he walked out those doors a happy man. Sinalo Pretty Mthenjana, may God bless you exceedingly and abundantly according to all the desires of your heart, thank you Sisi
Terrible terrible service, they made me pay for what was meant to be an overnight courier service but the parcel only got delivered after 3 whole days, I'm sent from pillar to post with nonchalant emails that don't have a name of the person I'm talking to, up to now my email is being ignored after I asked why charge me for a service that they clearly knew they couldn't offer to begin with

I visited the Vaal Mall branch on 18 Jan 2024 and I was the only client there (Ticket number 91) I sat there while employees socialised among each other without assisting me, finally I got called to a cubicle where a lady with spectacles looked at me & said no word,I looked at her all shocked that she didn't offer me a sit or let alone greet me, i eventually sarcastically said hi & I asked her why she looked at me without saying a word or offering me a sit and said nothing,she responded rudely & said im waiting for you to greet me 😂. I said wow some customer service this is,I looked at her name tag and saw Cecilia written on it,FNB teach your employees what warm customer service is, Cecilia from Vaal mall branch your attitude stinks ma'am seriously,work on it or quit your job
Out of all the banks I have used, none come close to TymeBank, they don't have crazy and ridiculous rates and everything is hassle free, from their contact center to their app...TymeBank please keep it up and continue putting your clients first 🥰
They rob people off, they guess the water readings and come up with ridiculous amounts for people to pay. You owe them R600 and they disconnect your electricity and then have the nerve to tell you to pay an additional R700 for reconnection, I'm disgusted by how they run this municipality
On the 24th of December 2021 I got a call from a rather rude and disrespectful Wisani Ngobeni, he was calling regarding the arrangement that I had made with them of R6000 as I havearrears of R8000+ on my home loan account , I am 2 months behind on my account and pay R4000+ a month, he rudely told me that FNB management refuses my arrangement of R6000 and that I must bring it up to R12000 but the strangest thing is that this arrangement was already in place and I had already commenced with the R6000 payment, confused as I was I wanted him to explain but he went on to speak over me and was yelling, making it extremely difficult to get my point across or even get further clarity on the matter, I asked him how can FNB decide the amount I need to pay when they are the ones that asked how much I can afford to cover the R8000+ arrears, I further asked who at management came to this decision and he confirmed that it was Patience Mhlongo, I asked him to get Patience to send me this in writing and he confirmed that I would receive an email within 3 working days and to date I have received nothing. I also asked Wisani to give me a reference number for the call and he told me he will send via email and to date I have received nothing, I have never been so disrespected and made feel so inferior by the same bank that I have been a loyal client of for so many years, 2 months of arrears and already have legal action taken against you even though an arrangement is in place and then have rude and disrespectful employees call me and tell me that my payment of R6000 (that I can afford) is not good enough and that you must in fact pay double. I still want a copy of that call and still want Patience Mhlongo to put it in writing that R6000 is not enough and that I must pay double. FNB is very quick to say "how can we help you" and yet turn around and give you the middle finger , God knows I no longer want to do business with FNB because truth be told FNB has never offered me any kind of help even after asking them for assistance not even during the beginning of the pandemic, FNB cares NOTHING about it's clients!!!
I found worms and webs in my new sack of White star super maze meal which is dated to only expire in August 2021 , I took a video of this and tagged White star on Twitter and they asked me for my contact number for them to make contact with me and up to date nothing, they ignore me and won't give me any feedback on this disgusting matter
A few months ago I paid R100 000 into my account and this ensured that I am in credit and not arrears, Covid hit and I found myself behind on my home loan, I then make contact with Wesbank to try get R30 000 out of the credit I have to try secure my house, I get contacted by Reza Alexander whom I have to always run after just to get feedback, this person would literally make me feel like I didn't matter and the fact that my kids and I were going to be homeless, this person just didn't care at all, their response or the lack of urgency when dealing with my query, their rude replies whenever I asked questions, I emailed yet again reminding this Reza Alexander person that today is the 8th and in 2 days I will be homeless if they don't pay out the R 30 000 I requested from my credit, this is MY money that I chose to pay ahead and I am not askies Wesbank to loan me their money, so now Wesbank would rather see my kids and I homeless and not let me take out from MY money??? This is an emergency for crying out loud, I am not trying to withdraw this money to go buy shoes, I need it to ensure that my kids and I will not be homeless come the 11th of March 2021
I recently logged a complaint about how since March 2020 I requested FNB to suspend my debit orders because things were really tough for me and then COVID made things worse, FNB kept debitting an overdrawn account and to date my account is sitting at almost negative R7000, only today do they decide to finally assist me only because I reported their pathetic service to Hello Peter and this is their response... "Good Day Thank you for your mail. Please provide us with an S.A ID/Passport copy signed and dated by yourself for security and verification purposes for us to assist with the below email received. Kindly have the attached completed if you are currently a SA Resident temporarily living abroad. NB: Please respond to the same email and for stop order these a fee of R 80.00 for each debit order requested. Boitumelo" I love how this Boitumelo without a surname does not even apologize or touch on the horrible service they have been giving me, all they are quick to do is try squeeze more money out of their clients, in my request l made mention that they reverse every single charge since March but that too they ignored, same way they have been ignoring my requests to suspend my debit orders, here's a joke even after logging the previous complaint here, they went back and still tried to debit my over drawn account, ensuring that the account goes deeper into more debt, l have an uncle who works for FNB and he told me that the bank is trying to recover the money they lost during the pandemic by ripping their clients off same way they are doing with me. I have never been so disgusted by a bank, sies!! They know my problems of me not working and struggling to make ends meet and yet they do this to me, and yet they are proud to ask "How can we help you" but when the need arises for them to help you, they clean turn a blind eye and deaf ear...
