I received an email notification for a safety recall on my 2011 Opel Astra which was fitted with Takata airbags, apparently there may be a fault with them where they may not work or could randomly deploy due to rust in the gas cylinder. Obviously a serious issue and, it turns out the nearest service center capable of fixing the issue is a two and a half hour drive away in Pinetown or Umhlanga since they have nobody in Shelly Beach or Port Shepstone. This is not acceptable to expect me to spend an entire day sitting in your service center waiting for them to fix your problem. If I leave it my safety is at risk but on the other hand I have to take an entire day off work. Surely your service center in my region can acquire the parts and do the work. Only giving a second star because the people I spoke to were quick to respond and friendly.
Ordered on Friday, delivered on Monday. The part was half the price of what the dealership was charging and identical in every way to the original. It may well have been an oem part for all i know.
Do not place any order with them, you will never receive it or hear from them again once your payment has been processed. Any positive reviews are **** and created by the people *****ing your money. There should be a way to lay charges of theft against these people.
Online service with Alli is brilliant, On two separate occasions I have ordered speakers and they have arrived in perfect well packaged condition within two days from JHB to Port Edward in KZN, would recommend to anyone wanting to place an order with these guys.
I was aprehensive about ordering through Smeshmega as I had not heard of them before but they came up as a supplier of a rather expensive item I was looking for. One other supplier had the item at a full 3K more expensive which made me even more aprehensive since there was such a large price difference, but reviews for Smeshmega and responses from them were all positive so I took the chance. My item was sourced from Hong Kong and delivered by DHL with full tracking and arrived within seven days of ordering, call me impressed and satisfied. I had to pay import duties which was only R500 which is to be expected. Just a quick FYI, after you place your order with Smeshmega check your junk mail folder for confirmation receipt as it may get sent there since it is tagged with "do not reply". I absolutely would use them in future.
September 27 2021 I ran out of data and paid R600 for an additional 100Gb which was immediately debited from my account and paid to Supersonic. Now come 1st of October instead of debiting R598.99 for my new month they have added the R600 which I already paid and took R1198.99 from my account. My statement does not show this and obviously they can't see it either because they can only see the same statement I am looking at. My statement shows that R600 was paid on the 27th and that they initiated billing for R598.99 on the 1st but my bank account shows that R600 was paid to them on the 27th and R1198.99 was paid to them on the 1st, no R598.99 payment. After an hour of listening to the same music I finally got through to someone who created a case for me, let's see how long it takes to get resolved, if ever. The problem now of course is that even if it is resolved, this could happen again and again if I have to top up.
I came across FirstShop while looking for a Ryzen 9 5900X but everywhere I looked the price was quite high until I came across FS where it was listed as 2.5k lower than the others, seems a bit suspect but I couldn't find any warnings about FS and other stuff was more or less in line with other stores prices. I decided to order the cooler I needed since it wasn't to expensive and if it turned out to be a scam I could live with it. I ordered the MSI Core Frozr XL which nobody else had in stock which arrived a just over a week later, my fault for ordering over two public holidays and living in an outlying area. Well I was pleased to see everything was in order and have now ordered my Ryzen which I am positive will arrive after this weekend. Next up is my motherboard which once again is significantly cheaper at FS, have to wait for payday for that though. Well that was longer than I had anticipated but the short of it is, yes this store is trustworthy, yes many items are cheaper and yes I will order more and do highly recommend.
Just purchased a Thrustmaster Airbus joystick which is in high demand right ow thanks to the new Microsoft Flight Sim 2020. Placed my order on Sunday which was very easy to navigate, my order arrived on Tuesday having travelled all the way across country from Pretoria to Port Edward. I would definitely order again when I need something for my PC.
Finally upgraded my 4mbps adsl to 10mbps adsl as it has become available in my area. Got to use it for a few hours when suddenly just after midnight I was gifted with a red blinking light showing that I have no connectivity to the internet. It is the one that means my user credentials cannot be authenticated by the server so I logged a call ref 30385051 the following morning. The person i spoke to informed me that my user name had been deleted, who knows why. Two days later still not working but according to the fault tracker everything is resolved although I can see by the still red flashing light it is not. Call again and the nice lady tells me that it shows the case is closed on her side but she can see that the username problem has not been resolved. Estimated turn around time one week she said. Please God let a competitor build a cell tower in my back yard. By the way my pensioner mother in England gets 100mbps fibre for peanuts and i can't even get lousy 18 year old vdsl technology and Telkom reckons it is doing away with adsl, like to see that.
